In the last couple of weeks I keep hearing terrible stories about people....bad health, losing jobs etc....

Let's start a good news thread....

My good news is that I'm going to Disney in April!

It's supposed to be 67 degrees here tomorrow!

OK. I was thinking about this just the other day. My dad - 76 years old, and my mom - almost 71 years old have never been hospitalized with any serious illness and are both in very good health.

I feel so fortunate and hope that I can follow in their footsteps.

My Great Aunt & Uncle just celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary!

My good news is that I successfully took DS10 and DS9 to an overnight cub scout outing at NASA, then Saturday morning drove us to Universal Studios, spent the night, played all day the next day and drove home. All safe and sound, my first trip with them alone. DH had to work, so he stayed home with the dogs..and his cold.

I was a little scared driving all that way by myself, but it wasn't bad at all. 4 1/2 hours one way. I am ready to try it for WDW, which DH does not like at all.

This is far from major news, but it's makin' me happy right now--my friends and I are actually going to be able to make it to Mardi Gras in the Soulard neighborhood of St. Louis this year. It's the second-largest Mardi Gras celebration in the country and something has always come up last minute to keep me from going even though I freaking LIVE here.

Not anymore. I'm gonna tear it UP.

Within a week, DH got the new job he wanted and I got a promotion at my work.

My son just got his exam grades - he made the Dean's List and is ranked #19 in his class after his first semester in law school.

I have a job interview Friday! It's my first interview in about 10 years...and it's the first call I've gotten after dozens of applications.

Yes, my good news is I'm going to be a gramma in Sep!!.

You can call me "gramma hercamore", LOL.

My DD (she was six the first time she vacationed at Disney) is now 25 and pregnant with our first grandchild. She and her DH just moved to Abilene. Something in the water down there, LOL?.

One of the first things she said after finding out was that "hey we can take baby to Disney next year". Sounds good.

A dolphin that stranded in Dec was on death's doorstep when she was brought to Mote Aquarium. She was released yesterday morning and was very happy. How do we know? After swimming away she did about 10 jumps in a row. She couldn't do that in her rehab tank

We just scheduled our disney cruise for this may. Yippee!! I can't wait. We have a room with a balconey in the middle-ish of the boat. Nice....

Nice- have fun, we love the Disney Cruises we have been on! This year we are going to Myrtle Beach in June and Niagra Falls in July!
Good news for me is we all just got a 3 percent raise at work!

In January, we found out our son got accepted into medical school. The even better news from last week is that he's been awarded a half-cost tuition scholarship for four years!

A close friend's husband just got a very good report from some medical tests that were meant to rule out anything serious.

I've lost 10 pounds since the first of the year!!!

My older daughter is having a wonderful time in Ecuador where she is spending the semester taking Spanish courses.

My younger daughter has improved some grades in math and physics and is happy and thriving in high school.
