Good news thread

My good news my youngest daughter and her husband are having my first grandchild(boy) in April. My oldest daughter is almost finished with nursing school. My son and his wife are going to Destin with us this summer.

Within the past 3 weeks my son and I have both had to have biopsies, and both have come back benign!

We also just booked our first WDW trip in 9 years!

Our company is doing better than ever!

I haven't thrown up in 3 days and trust me this is good news even if just for me lol

We leave for our next assignment in just 30 days or so...lookout D.C.!

Going to see my family in AR this weekend for a big family dinner and visiting with my mama.

We are going out to dinner and coldstone tonight as a treat for doing so much packing.

We are finally getting some good rain here in Houston (it has been so dry).

Also, I had a very nice sandwich today (not too dry, good meat n cheese).

We are going to WDW in 24 days!!!!!! Spring Break!!!!

It did NOT rain in Ireland today!!!!!!! (I am studying abroad here, and they are having the worst winter in 20 years.)

I am going to Greece on Thursday.

I will be in Disneyland Paris on my birthday!

We are seriously counting our blessings that everyone in our family is doing well.

Today I helped my lil 4yo grandson do Valentine cards for our trip to library story time tomorrow and got our long distance grands V pkg mailed.

DH and I have spent past month redoing our master BRm and we hope to have it finished by this weekend.
Can't wait when it's all together.

Late April we're doing a cruise to celebrate our 45th anniversary! We plan to enjoy every minute!

Mr. Man, I'll be at WDW in 24 days for spring break also! have FUN!!

DH also got a raise a couple weeks ago. I'm thinking about giving myself a raise even though the timing is bad (so I'll probably chicken out!)

I faced my biggest fear today and did not die! yay!

We supposed to be building a house soon and while it scares me to death, it is also exciting to think about!

My DD is sailing through her freshman year of HS and is no longer having mystery pains.

DD was accepted at the only college she wants to attend!

Neither one of my parents (83 & 88) are in the hospital right now - Mom was in November and Dad was in January. Right now they both seem to be doing well. I went back to the gym after being gone for 3 months and I am hoping to take care of ME now.

Ds14, my Asperger's kid, got a great report card with 4 A's and 2 B's.

Dh still has a job and has been very busy lately. Our marriage is better than ever.

Dd10 loves her new sewing class and may have found her niche.

We leave for Disney is just over 9 weeks!

DS17 has been accepted to two great colleges so far (still waiting to hear from the others) and now gets to choose between excellent choices.

DD15 started community college classes last week and is loving them.

I have a hole in my heart! Yes, this is good news! It can be fixed in an outpatient procedure, and this type of hole (PFO) has been linked to chronic migraines. When they fix it, I may get my life back!

I am going through a divorce, yes it is good news, I should have done this years ago. I have found so much support from people was not close to before, but they could see from a distance what I had been dealing with. A friend asked if I needed any house hold items, I responded yes, I need a couch. The very next day, she had emailed me that a friend of hers from high school wants to get rid of her queen size sofa sleeper (which is a plus, so that when my mother/father are offering to help me out). I had thought I was going to have to buy one, and even thought a sleeper sofa would be good, but never imagined one for free. Also her friend, has a free entertainment center for me too. I really feel blessed.

The friend's husband told her if she cleaned out their basement, he would remodel it for her.

Also, I have reconnected with my brother, who I had not seen or talked to in 9 years, yes, 9 years. My DB is gay, and my ex had convienced me that this was not right. The best thing about getting back in touch with my brother is that he only lives 52 minutes from WDW, Ya!

A dolphin that stranded in Dec was on death's doorstep when she was brought to Mote Aquarium. She was released yesterday morning and was very happy. How do we know? After swimming away she did about 10 jumps in a row. She couldn't do that in her rehab tank

That's awesome...I love Mote Aquarium!!!

And to all the rest...I love hearing good news! My own good news is we are going to WDW in June 2009 instead of 2010....and it was sunny and almost 60 here today...which melted the last of the 3 ft of snow in my yard.

I just got a 5% raise, retroactive to Jan 1.

DH's contracting business is incredibly busy right now. He can't keep up with it. He's a great carpenter and an even greater guy, so he deserves it.

DDs teacher called me tonight to tell me she thought something was bothering DD as she seems to be "off." She is so lucky to have a teacher who cares about her so much.

I finished up a couple of big projects today. It's a load off my mind.

Since I started working on my scrapbooks again a few weeks ago, I completely finished three!! That's a world record for me.. LOL

Son-in-law got a raise today.. He won't actually "see" the money (in his wallet), but his health insurance is going up March 1st and his boss said that he would cover the weekly increase..

DD starts back on her physical therapy tomorrow - her shingles are finally gone..

It's going to rain here tomorrow - no SNOW for a change..

DGD is on winter break next week and we have some painting projects lined up (plastercraft) that she, DD, and I will be working on together..

Well up until last week I have been unemployed since the end of October and could not find anything at all. I got two jobs last week I am so extremely happy I can hardly stand it I am making Awesome money at them to boot. Dh job in the past couple of weeks has picked up to. He is even getting side job calls that he has not had in a few months now.

Oh and I think that we are going to get to go to Disney the end of May now for SWW. we had decided to not plan anything at all this year because of how bad things were and now that things have changed the plans to go are back on.

My other great gift was a ticket to Memphis to visit my favorite cousins and their kids for a week!!
