It is snowing here. RIDICULOUS. We haven't even had Halloween yet!

Snow in the great state of Connecticut yesterday and today. Not accumulating but still. It's the middle of October!!

Hi Stacy - glad to hear things have gone smoothly and yes, you have most definitely been missed!

K- so sorry about all the computer problems.

J & P- how is that TR coming along? I hesitate to even ask b/c you may have posted it and I've missed it. I've been too busy to DIS lately.

LL- heard something on the most recent DIS podcast about the Disney stores being remodeled to make the shopping experience more like the theme park experience. Sounds like it'll be an even cooler place to work!

Hope the rest of the gnomies are well and have lots of fun things planned for this weekend!

Hey girlies....I just wanted to hop on here and say "I'M BACK!!!!!!!!!" I've been gone far too long, but life has finally cooperated so that I can finally DIS again!!! How are all my gnomies doing?

It's snowed here pretty much all day. It's ridiculous. It's OCTOBER!

I decided to torture myself today and sew. I really want to be good at sewing but I've been had nothing but problems today. I know it takes practice but still. I am very very frustrated.

Also, my grandmother had a heart attack yesterday. She's stable now and they are doing surgery tomorrow. They don't know what they are up against quite yet. Hopefully they can go in and just put in stints (spelling?) if not it might become open heart surgery.

This is the grandmother I don't get along with. So I don't know how to feel. I mean, I don't want anyone to go through this but I don't know what to do. So I've just been there for my Mom who is also feeling a bit confused as her relationship with her is rocky too. I haven't gone to the hospital but I told my Mom that if she is still in the hospital next weekend I will go up and visit.

My mom is really just frustrated with the whole situation. Especially when my grandmother's husband comes to the hospital with a dozen donuts for her to eat. HELLO!? Luckily my grandmother knew she couldn't eat them but the husband is being a pill. Oy to the VEY!

Good morning, Gnomies! I have the next three days off because of furlough days. Yikes! Today we are going to go shopping for Halloween costumes and then I might have some fun Halloween activities here at the house planned.

We had a heavy frost last night -- it was 30 degrees when I got up this morning! Somehow I think we are going to have a very cold winter.

My mom headed to the hospital about 7:30. She is supposed to be the second surgery of the day unless they have to move her lower down the list down to an emergency.

My mom made me feel a little guilty this morning since my brother is going to visit her tomorrow night. But I am trying not to feel guilty. I can't even tell you the last time I talked to my grandmother. It's not like she is a huge part of my life. That may sound harsh but I am not going to go and have her get me upset like she always does or have her husband tell me I'm fat for the 100th time. I won't do that to myself.

I wanted to decorate our balcony with Halloween stuff but I never got around to it. Can you believe that some of the people in my complex already have Christmas lights on their balconies?!

Do not feel guilty, LL, for not visiting her. You do not need to be upset by her or her husband.

They had some cute Mickey Halloween lights on the Disney shopping website.

I cannot believe that people already have Christmas lights up -- it is NOT time for that.

My theory is this...if WDW isn't decorated for Christmas yet, it is too early.

LL I will say a little prayer for your grandmother. Do what you feel is in your heart, and don't worry about anything else!!!!

I can't BELIEVE people have Christmas lights up already----they aren't Halloween lights??? That is CRAZY!!!!! I love Christmas, but everything has a specific place and time.....it is NOT its' time yet!!!!

CP enjoy your furlough days.....make the most of them as best you can sweetie!!!!

I get to go to Megs' school today for their annual Walk-a-thon fundraiser. It is the only fundraiser the kids do, and I really like it......we don't have to sell anything....just get sponsors for Megs for walking. She can't wait to have her Mommy walk with her and all her classmates. It is really chilly here, but at least it is not raining.....this event has already been rescheduled twice due to rain!!!! I agree with you all too that this winter is going to be AWFUL!!!!! I am NOT looking forward to it!!!!

Well it was 38 degrees this morning so you can imagine what this Florida girl was thinking LOL!!!! It was way too cold for me LOL!!!!!

LOVE the holiday decorating theory. As WDW goes, so do the DISers' houses. Now if only I could get my house to look as nice!

I just got an update on my grandmother. She is about 90% blocked (?), she is going to have to have bypass surgery and the doctor is thinking three to five bypasses...which is a lot.

They are waiting to meet with the surgeon but my Mom is estimating Wednesday or Thursday for the surgery because I guess my grandmother has some lung issues too so they want her to stabalize.

I'm trying to just be zen about this and not feel guilty. Sometimes it really sucks being a good person and wanting to do the right thing let me tell you.

Jen -- all the mickey path tickers seem to be broken. I even went to go make you a new one and it still wasn't working and propping up with that message. The ticker in my signature seems to be working but that is from a different website.

Jen (MM) -- Nope, they weren't Halloween lights. They are christmas colors!
