Good morning, LL! Have fun today whatever you decide to do -- I am off to the pharmacy and the grocery store -- then, it's back home to clean, do laundry, and bake. Tomorrow we will be headed to see Toy Story 3D -- Connor even has a new Toy Story shirt for the occasion.

Hey at least I'm good at focusing on one task when I really want to LOL!! Last night my friend Jen was like I don't like you digital scrapbooking you don't talk to me as much because you're actually scrapbooking now LOL!! Got to love it!!!

Hmmm...did you watch Ghosts of Girlfriends Past yet?? I want a review before I go rent it LOL

I have the news on and their weather alert sound just rang and I looked up to see "winter weather advisory"


WHAT?!?!?!?! It doesn't acutally cover us but I opened the window and if you look closely, there are a few snowflakes floating around. OTTFV! I'm not ready for this!!!

I find it funny that winter is coming and knocking on your door in October and Summer is the house guest that won't leave down here...it was 90 on Thursday with 100% humidity...ughh I want fall...at this point I'll take a Florida winter...as pathetic as it might be LOL!!!!

Nope, haven't watched it yet. I caught up on some TV last night and right now I am watching the mini series on Judy Garland....I just love this movie. So GOOD.

The local news just came on and now I don't know which is more depressing...

They have already gotten 2-5 inches of snow in SW Iowa (that is quite a hefty total for a first of the season!)

OR the talk about the 10% across the board budget cuts in all state-funded programs. They are saying the Des Moines school district has to cut $17.5 million mid-year

Jen, my parents are back in FL now and have said they are still limiting their daily walks to the early morning or late evening but are loving their afternoons in the pool. Aaah, retirement...how I long for thee

Morning girls!

Well, this morning on the news they were talking about the records set yesterday with our weather. We didn't get any snow here but Des Moines got 1.2 inches which set a record for the heaviest snowfall on that date as well as the earliest date for over 1 inch of snow. We also set the record cold high temp for that date. MAN it was cold yesterday, I'm not sure we hit 40 (maybe in the afternoon briefly when the sun came out).

We didn't do much, the boys and I went to McDonalds with a friend and his Mom. Thank goodness for that indoor playground!

Today I HAVE to get to the store because we are out of both white and chocolate milk (why Greg didn't get any when he was at the store yesterday I'll never know). We are also having our new piano moved here this morning which the boys are looking forward to.

OK, Daniel is yelling from the other room that he has Battleship all set up and is ready to play. Have a nice Sunday!

So I had my first day of work at the Disney Store today. It was fun. Just training but I think I'm going to like it.

Hi gnomies! Sorry I've been in absentia for a while. Came back from vacation to some yuckiness - in addition to the dead mouse in my office , some other office nonsense. So I am in a bit of work freak out mode. And on top of that things with the sorta beau (who I pray never reads this!) are not so good so I am freaking out about that. All in all not so good.

But enough about my drama - tell me about you!

LL- I want to hear everything about the Disney store. What will you be doing?

Jen - you are loving digital scrapbooking? Is it the creative memories software?

Katie - heard you've been subbing quite a bit including for Greg. That is fun. The cold temps and almost snow you got, not so much!

Julez - you are in the new house? Do you love it?? I hope so!

Stacy - you had some family moving in with you? How is that going? You are about to head into the retail busy season... good luck!

Jess - how are things with the thesis and the move? Have you started the new job yet? How does Blake like his job?

CP- how are you and the family? Do you have tomorrow off? I don't.

P- how are you doing with re-entry to reality? And what is the countdown to your November trip? I can't believe they closed your PTR - did you get them to re-open it, I hope?

I didn't love Ghosts of Girlfriends Past either, C. It was okay, but I'm not in love with Matthew McCaughnay or however you spell it. He plays the same characters over and over again. I did watch My Life in Ruins though and LOVED it. So cute!

I'm just going to be doing seasonal work there. It might turn into a part time position after the holidays but I won't know until January. Just a couple shifts a week.

I don't have tomorrow off unfortunately. However, next week is our fall break, and we have Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday off -- although Tuesday and Wednesday are unpaid furlough days so I would rather be working.

LL, glad that you are going to enjoy working at the Disney store -- I think that is so neat!

Katie, I am still in shock over your cold weather!

Christine, sorry to hear that your re-entry into the real world has been so yucky!
