Hi All!!

My re-entry into society is going along swimmingly. I worked alot this week...almost all 3-11. I suppose it was my punishment for taking a vacay

I'm at 25 days before next trip...

based off of my last trip...I was going to make a few ADR changes...yeah..3 weeks out...what the heck was I thinking!! I'm still going to see if I can add Sanaa or Wolfgang Puck Cafe on arrival nite. I decided that I'm not even going to TRY to go to MK that night. Crowd levels are to be a 9!!

I didn't ask them to reopen my PTR. I just don't want to deal with it.... I'm not sure I'll even do a TR when I get back... we will see.

Well if you don't do a TR then you at least have to do a mini TR for us Gnomies! I demand it.

I hope I love it. I am feeling a teeny bit overwhelmed with working two jobs but I keep telling myself it's just three months.

Hey girls,

I am SO upset right now! I don't know how much I have mentioned the computer issues I have been having (I know I have commented on FB). Basically, the computer screen started to turn pink a few months ago. At first it would just flicker and adjusting the angle of the screen would restore it but eventually it became permanant.

I took it to a local repair shop and they told me the screen needed to be replaced. They ordered a new one and installed it only to find out that didn't solve the problem (and if I hook it up to an external monitor, the pink doesn't show). They basically told me it cannot be fixed.

I brought it home and started it up and it said it couldn't install windows. So I took it back to the repair shop and they had to reinstall windows. I paid them $50 for the original time they spent trying to solve the screen issue and I was OK with that. After they reinstalled windows, they wanted to charge me $75. I argued with them that it was working fine when I orginally brought it to them and they cut the charge down to $40 for the time they had to spend on it.

I got it home to find all my files gone (they had told me in the shop that they would still be on there) and this was of course after business hours on Friday. So this morning I called the shop and the guy told me where the old files should be and they are apparently gone. He tells me this is the first time in dozens of installations that this has ever happened.

I also called HP this morning to find out if they can do anything and I was told I could send it to them and for another $250 they would see what they can do. I would be half way to a new computer by then! I told the guy thanks for his help but my next purchase will not be an HP!

I am so pissed right now!! I have only had this computer a year and a half (it of course had a 1 year warranty). I have spent nearly $100 and all that's accomplished is to lose all my files. AND now I have no choice but to buy a new computer.

The most upsetting part is I have lost all my picture files. I had backed them up last spring onto our external hard drive but everything since March is gone (including Patrick's birthday and our summer vacation)

Awww Katie I'm so sorry!! That just stinks! Between the computer repair people and HP I would hope something could get resolved and you could have gotten your computer fixed or a new computer! Big hugs during this horrible time I know you must be so frustrated!!! I'm so sorry about your pictures!!

uhhhh yes..and no!! LOL!!

I unpacked... washed everything at once, then repacked it

it was 34F here this morning! I have NO need for capris now Plus I'll be wearing my 'warm' clothes down so no need to pack them...hopefully I won't need them

I did add 2 adrs.... Les Chefs for lunch Tuesday... and LTT for lunch on Monday. I haven't cancelled any yet... but I think CP breakfast will be going away and prolly Ohana's. I don't think the kids will like the food there so much. And I loved loved loved LTT for lunch

Hi Everyone!

Did anyone miss me? Because I sure miss you guys!

But guess what! That house is almost done and my two cousins have moved in! Tonight is their first night, and my auntie will be moving in over the weekend while the kids and I go to Indiana to visit. Don't worry, I will post some pictures once we're finished. The dining room, stair wells and hallway still have to be done. And the bathroom but that's not one we're in a rush to do. It's not so bad and everything was replaced a couple of years ago.

I hope everyone has been doing well! Did all the September folks have a good time? Craziest thing happened today too! I was talking to my mum on my lunch break and she says, "when were you going to Florida next spring?" and I said, "I think it's still in April, why?" and she wants to come! SO weird! She hasn't taken me to WDW since I was 14! I'm 28! I think she must still be worried about you guys being axe murderers! Just kidding! Am I the only one still going?

Katie - I'm sorry to hear about your computer. That is stinky....but I thought of you today! A truck from Iowa cut me off on the highway on the way home from work! It made me think about how much I miss chatting with you!

I was thinking of you over the weekend too! It was our thanksgiving up here in the great wide North - so I saw my cousin who's LL too! Also DBFF (Lauren), is off on a New England cruise with her family that makes a couple of stops in Mass. Infact I think she's on her outting to Salem today! When did you decide to become a Seasonal employee? Are you still at your other job?

I really want to go to Salem. I'm hoping to go next summer so I can learn the lay of the land before I try to go during the crazy Halloween season.

Snow in the great state of Connecticut yesterday and today. Not accumulating but still. It's the middle of October!!

Hi Stacy - glad to hear things have gone smoothly and yes, you have most definitely been missed!

K- so sorry about all the computer problems.

J & P- how is that TR coming along? I hesitate to even ask b/c you may have posted it and I've missed it. I've been too busy to DIS lately.

LL- heard something on the most recent DIS podcast about the Disney stores being remodeled to make the shopping experience more like the theme park experience. Sounds like it'll be an even cooler place to work!

Hope the rest of the gnomies are well and have lots of fun things planned for this weekend!
