Congrats on your engagement Kels!! Hope you have a great trip to DLR! I would love to visit there someday and walk the same streets Walt walked!

I guess its mine turn to introduce myself...I'm Jen!! I'm 28 and happily married to Prince P (Phillip) for what will be 8 years the 20th of this month (well that's the 1st anniversary, affectionately dubbed HIS anniversary LOL). I recently moved from Florida to Texas (yes I moved further away from the Mouse so sad LOL). I am a high school science teacher and I love what I do!!

For fun I love spending time on here with my gnomies and talking about Disney. I also enjoy digital scrapbooking (although don't let Paula fool you with that amateur talk LOL she's amazing LOL).

I'm not sure what else to say!! So I'll be done!!

Katie...uggh I hear your frustration! I may jump from job to job but I complete them (excpet for TRs LOL)! Hope he gets it done!!!

Well, I haven't been so humbled since I was nominated for Snowball Court in 9th grade

Tom is not handy... at all. When he 1st got laid off in May though... he was getting a lot of odd jobs done every week. Since mid June.... NOTHING!!! He is just taking up room on my couch and making me want to strangle him! I've been having to nag him just to get the grrass mowed! grrrrrrr!! He said that once the kids start back to school.... he will start the job hunt..... I hope so!

Jen.... you are cracking me up with the "I finish everything.... except TRs" comment I gave up on mine back when I was suffering from my Seasonal Affective Disorder (yay I was finally truly diagnosed...another reason to move to Florida!) The mods closed it... and I can't find my notes.

But I promise to write one for Sept.... and a BIG JUICY one for the ABD trip

I'm all messed up on yours too Katie.... I fall behind then get completely lost without links So I try to catch the new updates as they come... but I know I mised some. ETA.... I hadn't realized you HAD started to add links!! yay! I can go back and find what I missed now!!

I'm still up to speed on Jackie, Jens (basically cause it doesn't go anywhere lol!), and LL/Jens PTR and LL/Marcs PTR.

It's fun to have a new member. Welcome, Kels. I love your story. I'm sure your trip was super magical getting engaged the night before. And I am in awe and gratitude for the service your fiance and you provide to the country.

I have NO idea how to introduce/summarize myself. But I'm not sure I want the gnomies to do it either. I'm a Disney nut. Guess that much is clear being on these boards. I've found this group of ladies mostly through our posting on trip reports. If I have any "advice" for life on the DIS boards it is just to jump in and get to know people. If you'd EVER told me two years ago that I would have found some of my best friends through an internet message board I would never have believed you and yet that is the case. This is one AWESOME group of gals.

About me... I'm 30-ahem-something. Live in New England. Single. Just figured out the guy I had high hopes for is not what I hoped for. I work in a middle management corporate America type job. A good living but not a whole lot of fun. I'm "mom" to a poorly behaved golden retriever. I've been lucky enough to meet many of these gals in person - I've met Leslie (LL), Jackie(CharlestonPrincess), Jen (jenjolt) and Paula (iluvcrush) in real life. And can't wait to meet the rest. My next trip to WDW is in mid-October for Food & Wine and I am already actively plotting the next trip.

Katie - sorry about those 90% finished jobs. That is frustrating. Hang in there. And enjoy your trip to the Dells! Looking forward to a mini report and pictures when you get back!!

Do any of you listen to the DIS unplugged podcast? They are sponsoring some Adventures by Disney tours in California in 2011 that are tempting me. They include backstage access, a tour of Imagineering, private shopping at the store on imagineering property, a tour of Jim Henson studios and much more. PLUS the DIS has arranged for a private lunch with MARTY SKLAR!

Tours are in Feb, April and July if I'm not mistaken and limited to ~30 ppl per tour. I'm SO tempted. But of course there is a big surcharge if going as a single. Don't suppose any of you would be tempted...

hmmmm I'd love to go! Backstage Magic is probably the most reasonably priced ABD out there.... believe me.... I have been a fixture on those boards and the ABD website

I know I couldn't swing it for 2011... in addition to the London/Paris ABD trip... which is gonna cost me a small fortune. BUT... since the DIS does seem to go every year on one trip or another (this year they have several) .... if you don't get to go this time.... I'm totally in for spring 2012! I was actually loosely planning on doing one of the DIS ABD trips then without the chitlins anyway It would be much more fun this way

C, that tour sounds aaaahhhhhmazing. I just don't know if I can swing 2011. Let me do some thinking.

So I had to go to the dermatologist today to have some moles checked. My ear is STILL numb over 6 hours later from the stupid biopsy he did of a mole on my ear. He said he thinks it's fine but with my mom's history of icky moles that he rather be safe than sorry. I just wish I could feel my ear.

Yes, we are still 27. For now.

July would be the one I could do as well but with my internship, finding a new job and hopefully moving to Maine...I just don't know.

I had my hair cut and highlighted today and I'm still feeling uber guilty about spending the money. Nevermind that I looked like Mag the Hag.
