Girls Trip~OLD THREAD (see first post for link to new one)

Hi ladies,

I am Heather from Toronto, age 46.

I am going to the Canadian Club 33 lunch thing on Feb. 20 and would love to join you all if it's not too late.

My friend and her brother are going to the Feb 20 lunch but they have their own plans.

I just read about this on the forum and thought "OMG, that sounds freaking awesome. I have to do that if there is still a chance to join."

I just need to figure out hotel.

Hi Heather! Glad you could drop by. It's never too late to join us all and we love new ladies dropping in! So what is this Club 33 Canadian lunch you mention? It sure sounds like something awesome for you! You should definitely try and join us next year, words I don't think do this group justice. I only officially signed up with around a month to go for last year's trip and it was one of the best decision I've made.

Actually, I may cancel going to the Club 33 lunch thing, it's too many days beforehand to pay for that many hotel nights and just join you all instead.

I arrive Thursday and Leave Monday morning.

Hi Heather!

So glad you found us, and decided to join in the fun. The annual "Diva" trips are a blast and you won't regret it. If you haven't already, take a look at the front page of this thread for any important information, as well as some FAQ. Then if you need more info, just let us know.

By the way, there are some other ladies on here from Canada who also considered doing the Club 33 lunch, but as you said, couldn't swing that many days so they decided to cancel that and just do the trip instead. Guess we must be a good group to beat out Club 33!!

I'll go ahead and add your name and dates to the list on the first page. And if you'd like, you can post a pic and I'll add that as well. We look forward to getting to know you more!

I can do it......I think what I'll do is try to make a list of those not able to attend the Meet-n-Greet (when we get closer to the trip) & put together little goody bags for each of you......since I'm in charge of collecting the snacks & the table & the bags.....it would probably be easiest for me to do that......also my pleasure!!

Hi All! I've been on here a few days now reading along while I try to figure out if I can join you all.

As of right now I am in!!!

I have to get my hotel squared away (have to wait to the 7 month mark to use my SSR points to book at GCH). I also have to decide if I am staying until Sunday or Monday. I will actually be arriving on Feb 15th and the boys will leave on the 22nd, so that means I'll be in DL for 12-13 days. That's the longest I have ever been there before...can't wait!!!

I'm Kandace by the way, I'm 33 years old and married to my high school sweetheart for 14 years. We have one son who is 14. We have a beagle named Daisy, a yellow lab named Lillie Belle and a cat named Roza. I work full time as an insurance agent for Nationwide Insurance. We live in Auburn, WA which is just south of Seattle.

I am a huge fan of all things Disney. We made our first trip to Disney World last year and had a blast but Disneyland will forever be our favorite. I also love Donald Duck.

I look forward to getting to know everyone over the next several months!

12-13 days! That beats me! I was just there in June for 11 days!

We haven't been there since September 09' so there is lots of new stuff to see and do. It's really going to be like two separate trips. I just wish February would hurry up and get here!

I don't know how she keeps track of everything but I do have a lot of diva facebook friends now (now i need to remember who goes with what disboard name-which I do check the front page every so often-maybe by february i will have most names and what eveyone looks like.)

Hey Everyone! Thanks for all the birthday wishes here and on FB! They mean a lot to me . I had a nice day at Disneyland and then when I got home my son and his girlfriend surprised me with flowers, treats and a card . I teared up because the card was so sweet and it was all unexpected .

I just wanted to say I had a wonderful day at DL/DCA with Vicki, Mel, Laila and her mom, the birthday girl Katie. Katie, you look so good! And Laila was such a good girl and so very cute. We rode ST twice, Big Thunder, Pirates, JC, LM, Soarin and visited Blue Sky Cellar. I am afraid we chit chatted through every ride and que, annoying other visitors, but hey, that's how the ball rolls! We ate lunch at the new Paradise Pier Greek place. Grilled skewers with rice, veggies and a pita. Healthy tasting but just ok for me. It was the company that was outstanding. Vicki and I saw the new parade just outside of the restrooms by Small World. Awesome spot, we were in the shade sitting down. The only drawback was the sound speakers were right above us so it was kinda loud. I just love this parade! It's so fresh, new and colorful. I sunscreened before I left home but my neck still got red. Great, so I am a menopausal redneck who is burning up.....TMI....sorry!

It was a nice day at Disneyland. The crowds were low, the weather was nice and I had great people to spend it with!!

I had to laugh about your sun burnt neck Linda, because I put sunscreen everywhere except my forehead and when I got home and looked in the mirror, I had a red forehead!! I look so stupid and I don't know how I missed my forehead .

Linda, glad you had fun at DL. How could you not with such great company! I still need to meet little Laila! She's not going to be little anymore by the time I do. I bet Katie is looking amazing!! She already was in the last pics I saw, so I can only imagine she is even hotter now!

Linda was just being nice . I look the same as I did in March, but thanks for the compliment. I will however be hotter by October since I will be getting back on track in August .

You'll be able to see Laila in October since she will be tagging along with me for part of the trip. She really is a blessing in my life .

BTW~ How was the twins birthday?
