Morning all!

Bridget as always you have me so jealous! What I wouldn't do to be sitting in Paris! AHHH! And esp my daughter. She wants to be a chef and go to culinary school there someday. Ah to dream. Don't know if that will ever really happen but it is a nice dream.

Janelle that is awesome! I hope it works out. As of now we are def going. The only thing that would change that is if the airfare is just astronomical or if there were any unforseen issues but at this point we are def planning on it!! We are planning to fly down sometime Thurs mid morning and coming home monday morning. My kids have president's week break that week so I don't have to get them off to school but I know mom with work and all usually always like to get some last minute stuff handled and I will probably have to get the girls settled in with my dad so as I said probably an 11 or 12 p.m. flight and then we are hoping to stay at PP again but you are welcome to share a cab with us. We did that with Capri and someone else last time and they were at Hojo so they just swung by there first. It worked great!!

Beth I hope the twins are having fun with all their celebrations as well as all the rest of our birthday divas!!

Tracey have fun on your camping trip and still hoping to meet up with you in Seattle!!

We leave exactly one week from today! I got up this morning and drug out the suitcases and packed a little bit of everthing so hopefully we are prepared for whatever weather we encounter.

We had our 2nd to last meet yesterday which went well and then today I am just trying to get a bunch of stuff done round here.

Tomorrow is going to be a crazy day as I have to work, take Shelby to piano and then we are going straight to the American Idol concert. I am really excited to see that as are the girls!!

Then we have to drop off Katy's stuff at the fair at the end of the week and then we are going on Friday to watch the judging. I am just so nervous for her cuz I just hope we did everything right. I know the chances of her getting a ribbon are probably slim but I would just hate for her to get disqualified and not even get a chance. So we shall see what happens. Going to be a busy week!

Yesterday I played mahjongg in the morning, went to my fav restaraunt for lunch and went to a 4 year olds birthday party for dinner. Today my dh made me breakfast and in a little bit we are going to see Cars 2 with my dh and ds and then going bowling with a bunch of my friends tonight. It should be a good day!

Hello, ladies!

Hope you are all having a good weekend. We went to the park in Town Square today. The kids had fun playing on the playground, and splashing around in the water area. Then the twins went shopping at Justice with some gift cards they got. Grabbed some frozen yogurt to cool off, then came home. It was nice, but so hot out. I am over summer.

I hope all those at DL today are having a great time! I know several of the Divas were going to be hanging out there.

It depends on if I get an AP when we go in December. Since ALL CA residents can do the monthly payment option, I'm thinking I may. If I do go, I was hoping to maybe coordinate with Kelly to fly down with her, if she's still going.

Oh, then your coming! Why not with the payment option!

I am so jealous. Take as many pics as you can to share. I really, really want to take the trip you are taking. I'm excited about our family trip to DL next summer, but it will be hot and crowded, so a part of me still wishes we were going someplace more laid back and cooler! Like OR or WA.

I don't know how groups work and if Beth is the only one who can add people to the group we just started for the things we can't discuss on the DIS. I'll send you a friend request in a second though

As for TB, I have read the books. Well, half of them. To be honest, I can barely tolerate the books. I got halfway through book 4 and by then just couldn't push myself to read them anymore. It's odd because it's very much the genre that I enjoy the most. I'm happy just sticking with the show I suppose. Maybe I'll try to pick them up again at a later date.

Since we are getting a list going of who is doing what, you can put me down for getting lanyards and name tag holders again. I have some left over from last year and will be happy to order another batch.

I do have a request though. For those doing the itinerary and phone number cards, can we get everything to fit into our badge holders? We have had random sizes and it would be nice and tidy if everything were the same size; no larger than 2.75" x 3.75". I can do the phone numbers too unless someone else wants to do them.

For all those wanting to skip ahead, I have only had one week of summer so am in no hurry to skip the rest of it. I would be more than happy though to skip from October to January. Who is going to be in charge of taking care of that?

There isn't a trip planning group. All the trip planning and discussions are done here. But most of us have our own FB pages, and I just started a group page to discuss anything financial regarding the trip. I see Jess added you to that already. And I sent you a friends request.

Edited to add: I took a peek at your WDW pics on FB. They look great! I miss it there. And you have a very nice looking family. I better not show the pics of your son to my 14 yr. old daughter! LOL

I just wanted to say I had a wonderful day at DL/DCA with Vicki, Mel, Laila and her mom, the birthday girl Katie. Katie, you look so good! And Laila was such a good girl and so very cute. We rode ST twice, Big Thunder, Pirates, JC, LM, Soarin and visited Blue Sky Cellar. I am afraid we chit chatted through every ride and que, annoying other visitors, but hey, that's how the ball rolls! We ate lunch at the new Paradise Pier Greek place. Grilled skewers with rice, veggies and a pita. Healthy tasting but just ok for me. It was the company that was outstanding. Vicki and I saw the new parade just outside of the restrooms by Small World. Awesome spot, we were in the shade sitting down. The only drawback was the sound speakers were right above us so it was kinda loud. I just love this parade! It's so fresh, new and colorful. I sunscreened before I left home but my neck still got red. Great, so I am a menopausal redneck who is burning up.....TMI....sorry!

Thanks for all the birthday wishes!!!! Last night and today were wonderful! My best present was from my DH of course....a new AP for DL! I am so tired from celebrating so I am just sitting here watching Sex and the City - my favorite episode was just on....it is the one where Samantha and Smith shave their heads because of her bout with cancer and Charlotte is given her puppy. I bawl at how sweet that episode is lol.

Trudi it looks like you had a great day at Disneyland! I wish I could have spent my bday there too!

My birthday ended by me leaving my own birthday party about half way through to take my dd to the ER to have 4 stitches put in her chin after she busted it open by falling on a bowling ball. We were in the ER for 3 hours. I want a birthday do over!

Awesome birthday present Sounds like you had a great birthday. I've been watching SATC for the first time and just saw that episode recently. Definitely very sweet.

Jen glad your bday was fun and how nice to get a new AP!!

As for me today starts my super busy but crazy week. I have to run in to work today and then Shelby has piano and it is at 4-4:30 and we pretty much have to LEAVE by 4:30 to head down to Arco Arena to eat and then go to the concert so I hope her teacher doesn't hold her late. Most days he does and after her lesson I have to drive BACK home to get Shane and my parents. She wasn't there last monday cuz of the 4th and will miss the next two because of our vacation so I sure hope it all works out.

Anyway then as I said we are going to the concert so I am really excited about that.

Then tomorrow I have my apt and then we have the fair stuff on Thurs and Fri. So busy busy.

I think I pretty much have everything packed except for the last minute stuff but we have our meet on Saturday so I am literally going to have to wait and do it that night. That stresses me out a little because I don't want to forget my chargers or anything. But I can't pack them till the last minute. Too much to do and not enough time LOL.

I am excited about some of the stuff this week but honestly will just be glad when we are ON the trip and can start enjoying it!!

Beth sounds like your girls had a fun birthday weekend! And I will DEF be taking tons of pics! I am not sure if my stupid phone will work up there or not but if so I will send pics on FB. It barely worked in LA of all places so not sure if it will work up there. I have heard T mobile doesn't so who knows.

But regardless I will take tons on my other camera and post them when I get back!

Good morning, ladies!! Monday again? (sigh) The weekends (and weeks!) are flying by so quickly. I can't believe the kids have already been out of school over a month!

The stores are already getting their back-to-school items out, and yesterday I bought a few school clothes for the twins. They are going into a middle school that has a strict dress code. Not uniforms, but close. So shopping is going to be a bit more challenging this year.

Linda, glad you had fun at DL. How could you not with such great company! I still need to meet little Laila! She's not going to be little anymore by the time I do. I bet Katie is looking amazing!! She already was in the last pics I saw, so I can only imagine she is even hotter now!
