I am Heather from Toronto, age 46.

I am going to the Canadian Club 33 lunch thing on Feb. 20 and would love to join you all if it's not too late.

My friend and her brother are going to the Feb 20 lunch but they have their own plans.

I just read about this on the forum and thought "OMG, that sounds freaking awesome. I have to do that if there is still a chance to join."

I just need to figure out hotel.

I've been thinking about doing the Canadian Club 33 lunch too. You should post a pic so that Beth can add it to the front page (I think you need at least 10 posts before you can do that though - perfect for "getting to know you )

Actually, I may cancel going to the Club 33 lunch thing, it's too many days beforehand to pay for that many hotel nights and just join you all instead.

I arrive Thursday and Leave Monday morning.

I will actually be arriving on Feb 15th and the boys will leave on the 22nd, so that means I'll be in DL for 12-13 days. That's the longest I have ever been there before...can't wait!!!

We have a beagle named Daisy, a yellow lab named Lillie Belle and a cat named Roza. I work full time as an insurance agent for Nationwide Insurance. We are getting several new ladies now! I should introduce myself a bit I guess.......
Like Kandace, I'm also married to my high school sweetie! We just celebrated 18 years married last month. We dated for 5 years before getting married though, so we've been together quite awhile already. I am a stay at home with four kids, (1 boy, 3 girls - Adam age 16, Noelle age 14, Lindsey and Hannah age 11). We live in Las Vegas, although my husband and I both grew up in the Los Angeles area.

We did move to northern Michigan for about 3 years, and while I lived there I started a DIS Ladies Only trip to WDW. We had about 45 ladies on that trip and it was a blast. Then when we moved to NV we bought annual passes for Disneyland, and one night I was sitting around bored, lol, and thought why not start a girls only trip for Disneyland. Anyway, the rest is history and we are now planning our 5th annual Diva trip!

Can't wait to meet you, Heather, Joni, and all the other new ladies who'll be joining us.

My hubby has said he would go to Disneyland if I can get us into Club 33! Somehow I think that may be a long time waiting...

On one of the Diva trips, Heather/LittleBlackRaincloud was able to get a group of us into Club 33 and it was such a thrill! I'll always be grateful to her for that. (If your reading along Heather, shout out to you!!! )

Hey Everyone! Thanks for all the birthday wishes here and on FB! They mean a lot to me . I had a nice day at Disneyland and then when I got home my son and his girlfriend surprised me with flowers, treats and a card . I teared up because the card was so sweet and it was all unexpected .

You'll be able to see Laila in October since she will be tagging along with me for part of the trip. She really is a blessing in my life .

BTW~ How was the twins birthday?

Awwww, how sweet of your son to do that. Teen boys do have their moments, don't they??

I can't wait to see Laila! Will she be in costume?

The twins birthday was good. Just a simple party at home because over the weekend we took them to the movies, the Tournament of Kings show (our version of Medieval Times), the park, shopping, out for ice cream, and to Red Robin. I'll post pics on FB a bit later.

Every year in February when I am looking out of my office window at the darkness and the snow and the cold and the cars sliding on ice, I so want to go away on vacation but my friends are always dead broke from not having planned well and mostly from over treating themselves with their own gifts at xmas, that they can't afford to get away. ROFL

I have a picture, I'm just now sure how to get it up with the other ones.

Is anyone here looking to share a room by any chance? I can get an AAA/CAA rate at the Hojo or my company rate might be even better, still waiting to hear back from travel. I'm looking for someone who is non-smoking AND most importantly Non-snoring. I'm a painfully light sleeper and I just can't handle the smell of smoke or perfume or body sprays - eeeep!

I need to catch up - but I wanted to stop and say hi.

I guess I should introduce myself.

My name is Chris and I've been on all the main Diva trips so far. I live within an hour of Disneyland, so I try to make the mini meets as well. (Is there one scheduled for DLR in Oct, or just the WDW one?)
I'm married and my husband tolerates Disney, (but in reality likes it enough to let us buy a couple of DVC contracts.)

We don't have anything else planned yet...We will have a rental car so we might head into LA or Newport Beach. We don't really want to go to Knott's Berry or Universal. I'd like to go to San Diego but I think it's a little to far to do a round trip drive from DL. Any suggestions?

Happy Monday everyone !
I had a great time at the parks on Sat. Not too crowded, in fact I went to HM first and would you believe I had the elevator all to myself ? ! It was very cool, I was waiting for the CM to say his little speach about moving to the 'dead center of the room". But he didn't say one word. I think he should have stayed in character even if it was only one person, oh well.........
Little Mermaid ride was nice, very pretty but much shorted than I thought it would be. Now on to the food. I had the Fried Green Tomato sandwich. It was very good but only one slice of tomato was batter fried, the other was just a regular slice. I thought it came with slaw but they gave me the sweet fries, really good. I got the lemon cupcake and the blueberry pie. Only took a bite of each and brought the rest home. They were fantastic !!!
On my way out I ran into Rochelle who had just arrived. We got to talk a bit.
In a store at DTD, can't remember the name, the artist who did the pirates Vinylmations was there and signing them. I got one for Sarah but didn't wan't to open it so he signed the box.
So how many more days til the trip?

Heather, although I grew up in SoCal, we did live in Michigan for 3 years so I totally get where you are coming from with the February winter blues! I'm glad you'll have this trip to look forward to.

As for your photo, just post it here and I can add it to the front. OR if you want you can send it to me in a PM. (although I think you need to reach 10 posts before you can PM so get to posting! lol)

And I do believe there are still a few people looking for roommates. Check the front page under the roommate listing and see what is says there, or keep asking here on the thread. I'm sure something will work out. We've never had anyone left without a roomie that wanted one.

Hi Chris! I added you to our October planning group on Facebook. There is going to be several of us, about a dozen or so, who'll be in DL Oct. 20-23, and are attending the Halloween party on Friday the 21st. Carlsbad is only about an hours drive. Well, depending on traffic. That's a nice beachy town. Or Oceanside. We loved walking out on the pier and eating at Ruby's Diner. http://www.sandiegocoastlife.com/attractions/san-diego-coast/piers-oceanside.html

Well, I may not be making it when ya'll will be in October but I'm hoping everything works out and Paula and I can take a Halloween trip at the beginning of the month. Keeping my fingers crossed.
