Just to let everyone know, I WILL still be coming, no matter what. I may have to trim down the days if I have trouble getting time off (assuming I'll have a new job at that point), but I'll be there!

In all the times I've been to DL and DCA, I've never been on Lilly Belle. I've never ridden the front car on the monorail (though have done so a ton of times in WDW), I still haven't been into the Animation Station, I've never seen Fantasmic, nor done ToT nor seen the Golden Dreams movie. I've never had a meal at Goofy's, never been to HoB or Ralph Brennen's or Uva Bar (though I think I may do the last one this weekend for my b-day.) All are things I want to do!

By the way, I'll be at DLR this weekend celebrating my b-day without kids! Whoo hoo! They're excited to have their cousin come and watch them and I get to recharge my batteries. We're staying at HoJo's. If anyone's going to be around, I'd love to meet up with you! The only true plans at this point are that we'll be at ESPN Zone around 1 so we can watch the Daytona 500

Glad to hear you will still be joining us. Have fun this weekend!

Here's the information from another message board (I don't have the email I was sent):

"If you should have any questions or concerns regarding a brick
sponsorship, please feel free to contact the Magical Memories office at
(800) 760-3566 or email dl.bricks@disney.com. Cast Members are
available to assist you Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm, and Saturday from
8am-4pm Pacific Standard Time."

How much does a brick cost?

Sounds good to me :thumbsup2 . So when are you coming so I can prepare the room  .

My hubby says I can come down on the "When Pigs Fly" airline. I've never heard of it.:confused3 ;)

Afternoon Ladies! I hope you are all enjoying the day.

Good news today, I start a job on Tuesday. (Monday is a new civic holiday called Family Day).

I know you are wondering, YES at the moment I can still go to on the trip too. I told them upfront and I was given the go ahead. This was the place I was sent for a week from a temp agency to do filing. They promised to train me on some other stuff so I'm not bored.

However, there was a city job that I sent in my resume for last week. (It was $21/hr compared to this filing one of $12). That city job posting is open until the end of today. I did tell this new place that I applied and would like to keep following up on it if they call me for an interview. They seem to be a nice company but you have to follow the money.

The only problem is I'm not sure if I got the job with the City if I could still go on the trip. So I don't know what I want. Now if I could have the city delay in the hiring until the end of April, I'd be all set.

I hope all you ladies that are looking for jobs get some good new soon.

What and you did not tell me my travel mate I so really want you to get the job at the city but then on the other hand I so do not want to travel on my own oh no. But then your roomate would need someone to share with. But then I would have to travel on my own.

Oh the thought is giving me a headache:headache:

That's just why I didn't tell you about the City job silly. Until I get a call for an interview & a job offer there was no point in worrying you.

It's not like I want to try and get the dates and destination changed on the plane ticket I already bought. rofl

I'd LOVE to get the city job. I could be a real adult! Get an apt, furniture, more DVC points. You know, all those really important things. (I wouldn't need to find a Sugar Daddy  ) It's an inbound Customer Service for people to ask about city related things..events, phone numbers etc. At least that was the impression from the job posting. I think it is also unionized which explains the fabulous wages.

The good thing about this job I do have: We get pizza on Fridays and it is just 1 bus ride from my house. Takes about 20 mins by bus. If I can get out right at 5pm, I can catch the 5:06 bus and be home by 5:30!!! They seem to treat their employees well too. Now if I can just get the wage increased in 3 mths.

Oh well it is very far off I got more important things to worry about like how to get rid of four feet of snow

I wasn't going to mention the City job posting if I didn't get another job offer. This is the second time the company called me to take the job but they decided to give the current new employee another chance. Guess two more days and she was still not suitable...go figure?

As for your four feet of snow, use all that hot air you have. :rolleyes1

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

Sorry I didn't post yesterday. Not alot happening. Getting my house cleaned up and getting ready for my b-day weekend at Disneyland! whoo hoo! The weekend part is exciting, but the cleaning and getting ready...not so much.

Whatcha doing for Valentines day? DH got me roses and candy and left it on the table this morning (he leaves much earlier than I get up). We're having family Valentine's tonight, ordering pizza and maybe playing a family game. Oh, and I'm going grocery shopping later!

DBF has school tonight so we are not doing anything. But we usually don't exchange gifts or cards because all of our money goes to trips. We like to go somewhere everyweekend.

Hi ladies! I'm back from DLR! It was a pretty great trip after we braved HORRIFIC crowds on Sunday. Monday was much tamer and yesterday was very nice. The weather was gorgeous, even on the too warm side. I had to peel down to a tank top yesterday. Made Splash and GRR even more fun. We were dreamed twice (fastpasses and ears) and had so many special moments for my dd's 6th birthday.

Anyway, I have tons to catch up on here at home and I have to go to work this afternoon/evening. Maybe I'll have a chance to check in when I'm there.

Hope you all have a great Valentine's day! :lovestruc

- Callie

PS / Michelle, I left you an envelope at the HoJo. ;) Have a great birthday.

MotoX, that sounds great. It's like have Valentine's Day every weekend. Nothing wrong with that. Are they short driving trips to like B&Bs or parks and picnics. I'm so jealous.

Glad you had a great time at DL Dangermouse! But did you have to rub it in that you could wear a tank top in February?????? Great news about the Dreams! You got the best two "standard" Dreams in the parks. I only call them standard because those are the ones they seem to give a lot of and they make you easy to recognise as a winner. As much as I love some of the bigger prizes those 2 are my favorite.

Mostly just short trips ust Saturday in the hotel, maybe Friday and Saturday sometimes. We like to buy season passes at the begining of the year for places so all we have to pay when we want to go is for a hotel.

Last weekend we went to San Diego for the Supercross and on Sunday we went to the Wild Animal Park and renewed our annual passes.

Since it's just us (no kids) we try to do and see as much as we can. Plus right now we live with family (DBF's grandma, he takes care of her) so that means no rent so we want to do as much as we can while we have the opportunity.

Busy busy I guess.
YES!! Busy. Make it stop!! LOL

How sweet of him! My DH works tonight so it will be just me and the kiddos. We'll probably do the pizza thing too. :thumbsup2

UGH, sorry about the crowds. I hate that. Even if I am at Disney, I do NOT have fun when it's crowded. :headache:
Congrats on being dreamed!! You don't happen to have any old dream fast passes you don't want, do you? :rolleyes1

That's cool. Reminds me of me and my DH when we were dating and first married. We'd take off to San Diego all the time!! It was our favorite place for a week-end get away. :thumbsup2 And Santa Barbara too. :)
