Ssssh! I'm sneaking on at work! ;)

I have a Wii, and have Wiifit. I really like it.

I also have Mario Kart and love it! DH and I race each other all the time.

How do you play each other online? I need to hook my wii up to the computer. Haven't figured it out yet.

Do you have a wireless router? That's all you need, and a friend code that you get once you play the game. I'll have to go look up my friend code and post it. When you find yours, post it.

I wanna play too! I finally got Mario Kart, but I am SO not good at it.

I never said I was good, although I think I'm not too bad. But my DS, 17YO, beats me every time!!! It's that teenage boy thing! So go find your friend code and post it.

Geesh! Who else is hungry for some tamales?? :headache:

ME!!

I'm yet another Mario Kart fan who loves to play, but isn't great at it. I will also look up my friend code later tonight, as it would be fun to play against someone other than my husband (who always wins)!

I've never played against anyone else except for the ones controlled by the system and they always beat me. I totally dislike the rainbow track, I'm always getting lapped on that one. :sad2: It will be fun to play with all you gals so you can show me just how bad I really am! :rotfl:

so I guess now I'm going to have to go out and buy a Wi so I can join in all the Mario Kart fun??????

BTW, I bought a mini-laptop from Dell--it is SOOOOO awesome. It came on the day I left for WDW so my assistant overnighted it to me in Florida--it was so easy to set up--only 8.9" screen. Mostly good for email and web browsing although I am going to attempt to download Word onto it.

Beth--I may be coming to Vegas for a meeting next week . . . . but unfortunately will be flying in in the morning and flying out that night! :sad1:

My friend got tickets for me and her to go see the 12:02 am showing of Twilight next Friday! :woohoo:

I wish I had a laptop, it would be so useful for when I go to Disneyland so I can check in on the boards and get my trip report done faster. :rotfl: It's so hard on my iPod to type anything at all. :sad2:

Oh, I HATE Rainbow Road; I hated it on the old Nintendo and I hate it on the Wii as well! When I play online international, the players from Japan love that one!!

Of course! It's so fun!! The other one I played when we first got it, but don't play too much anymore, is Cooking Mama. It's kind of stupid, but I can usually beat my DS!!

Same here! My friends made me play it on the N64 this past Friday, because they wanted to every track once. :sad2:

Cooking Mama is strangely addicting. I've only played it on my Nintendo DS though. I almost bought it for the Wii, but I suddenly thought to myself, "what am I doing!?" :rotfl: I'm sure one day I will buy it when it's on super sale or something!

Hi ladies! I'm back from a full day of homeschool co-op and I need a nap. :faint:

I skimmed, and see y'all have been talking about tamales and Mario Kart on the Wii. I LOVE LOVE LOVE tamales. Just bought a dozen at the farmer's market last weekend. But I do not have the patience or energy to make them.

Dan's family is Polish and they do a traditional Polish Christmas Eve each year with hand-making Perogi & Kielbasa and lots of Polish pastries. It's an all day project for 20 minutes of gut-busting gluttony. :rotfl:

Oh, and I completely SUCK at MarioKart. I mean really, really pathetic. :sad2:

Ok, I have a bout a dozen emails to read through and answer and laundry and dinner to get done, so TTFN!

Hmm.

Well I grew up making homemade raviolis. Actually didn't make them very much, just remember eating them. :lmao: My Grandmother was full Italian.

So last year I decided it was time to start up the tradition again. Stayed at a cabin over Christmas with all of my children and their spouses. :cloud9:
On Christmas Eve, we rolled pasta and stuffed them for our dinner the next day. We had so much fun, but it is alot of work too. :faint:

Last Thanksgiving and this Easter I was in WDW to avoid the family get togethers. This Christmas, I'll probably be in labor or have a newborn so that will be my excuse .
Boy some people will do anything to get out of spending Christmas with their family. :rolleyes1 ;) :rotfl:

Well, boo! That's no fun.

I wanna make something yummy now!!! :yay:

In March, is anyone interested in going to PFF with me? I think it would be fun to get a group of us to go in and pose with the Princesses. And I want to decorate a castle cookie! :yay: LOL It's my turn to be a kid on this trip. :rotfl:

Oh, I'll go! I'm interested in checking that place out.

Hey Cheryl, I was checking my voicemail again and I got the one saying you were about to check into PP. Jeez, I hope you didn't think I was avoiding your calls, my phone just didn't want to seem to ring for you!

So everybody, if you call and I don't answer, I'm not avoiding you, I just don't check my voicemail very often and my phone doesn't always ring when I'm down there!!!!

Another tamale family here. We will be making ours in a few weeks. We also freeze them uncooked. Then steam them. They just seem to work out better that way.

Last night when I got home from work I almost dragged DD out of bed. I got the cell phone bill $400!!! Yikes! Usually our bill is about $100. I was sooooo steamed. I let her sleep but this morning her and I had a talk. She is a great kid who works hard at school and all her activities. The one place where she has been lacking over the years is being social. She has always had friends at school, and is popular and well liked, but she never brings those friendships outside of school. She started a new school this year and she is thriving. And from the looks of the cell phone bill, so is her social life. She is banned from her online chat/message board for the rest of the week, cell phone restrictions for the next two weeks, and she has to complete a honey-do list for me. She agreed that was a fair punishment.

Storyteller's Breakfast - does anyone have a preference about what time I make the PS for? With trying to squeeze everything in, I want to make sure we get a breakfast time that will allow us to do everything. So if anyone has their heart set on a specific time, let me know or forever hold your peace.

Count me in. My DD is so anti princess, that we can't even look in that direction or she gets ghetto on me. I would love to visit and take pics. And who wouldn't want to decorate a castle cookie??

Do we get crowns?

Hmmm, around 8:15-8:30 sounds good to me. :rolleyes1

OMG! I would have passed out!! That's a lot of money. Ouch.

As for breakfast, I am good with any time. If EARLIER is what it takes to fit everything in, then that would be my vote. The more we can do in a day the better. Especially that day, since I think we will have the most people that day.

 I think a group of us should go buy those little tiaras, you know the ones I mean? They are small and have like a hair comb that keeps them in place. Or bring one with us. They sell them at party stores pretty cheap. Then go to PFF and take pics with the Princesses.
From there we can decorate cookies and take a group pic with our castle cookies. :rotfl:

Part of me wouldn't mind going to PFF since I have two boys, and who knows if I'll ever get a girl. Are we going to get princess makeovers first? :rotfl:
How long do you think it would take to do? Being my first time, I want to see a little of everything.

Stacerita...$400 for a cell phone bill!:scared1: It was painful to pay my 78.00 cell phone bill. I am not looking forward to my DD being a teenager.

My mom's family also makes tamales. My grandparents are both from Mexico and it is a family tradition for the entire family to gather on Christmas Eve and all the aunts (mom and her sisters) to make tamales. TONS of tamales. They are soooo good!:goodvibes

I have no preference for Storyteller's. I am happy with what the majority decides.

Beth, PFF sounds fun! I can nab one of my DD's little crowns.princess:

My friend bought 17 tickets for the midnight showing in Hollywood for all the people that asked her to pick up tickets for them. I work Thursday night (5:30-10p) so I might not be able to go if somebody drops out :sad2: My parents would never let me drive to Hollywood alone at night. Hopefully somebody can carpool with me that way I don't have to worry about it. If not, Steph (my friend) said she would see it again with me on opening day. That's a great friend, huh?:thumbsup2
