Thank you all for your wonderful suggestions. We'll look at jewelry together on the cruise and other things too. I will get her a special thank you card as well. I don't know what kind of shops Tortola and St. Thomas have but we can look there as well.

I haven't been to Tortola, but St. Thomas has tons of shops all along the main street after you exit the ship. And don't overlook the street artisans as well. They'll be hanging around the port, and some of them are quite good. Bring cash, the street artisans and a lot of the smaller shops aren't set up to take cards.

There should be a shopping talk on board the night before each port visit. The places they recommend are generally good, but just remember that the cruise line is getting kickbacks, so don't limit yourself to just those shops.
