Ghost Hunters Thread & Personal Ghost Experiences & other Paranormal Talk.

Breezy and I have had more stuff happen in places where we live or lived. How hard can it be to find international haunts? With all the wars , beheading and torture that had occured internationally there should be no problem finding some juicy spots.

do you think that Disney would ever let GH on Pirates of the Carribean?

I think you should call GH and have them come to your's and Breezy's home with all of the activity you have had.

Isn't the Haunted Mansion supposed to be "haunted" also? GH could investigate both HM & POTC!

I never liked Shannon and she was one of the 'victims' on Paranormal State' so does that make her an investigator on GHI. I think there was a problem with her b/c when I was listening to the radio show Jason and Rob allueded to someone on the show that was a problem and was gone. Obviously it was her. Who does she know that she ended up on this show?

I never cared for Shannon either. I thought it was weird that she was on PS and then all of a sudden appeared on GHI.

And I think the "problem" with her was between Shannon & Donna. One of last season's episodes of GHI actually showed them having some disagreements about each other's style of "talking" to the ghosts to get a response.

That would mean I would have to go up to the attic and CLEAN it. I do not know what would be more scary worrying about an encounter OR having to do all that cleaning.:rotfl: :rotfl:

Oh my gosh - that reminds me of the episode of GH where the house was a MESS! I knew they were professional when they didn't even comment on it that much.

Not saying your house is like that Bella ;) .... your comment just reminded me of that show.

Can you imagine - I'd never let someone in my house if it looked like that, let alone a whole camera crew.

Hi everyone, I've been lurking for months.Enjoying the stories.:surfweb:
I like GH much better than GHI and watch Most Haunted for laughs. (too much screaming).
I think I'm as sensitive as a brick but I do have a short story for you. A few months ago I woke up in the middle of the night. I had a strange feeling as if someone was in the room. Then the blanket over my feet tightened as if someone was sitting on the edge of the bed. At first I thought it was my dog until I realized she was sleeping next to my legs on the opposite side from the pressure. I couldn't see anyone (I have very good night vision), I tried to sit up to get a better look but couldn't move! At this point my heart was beating a little faster than normal. :scared: A few moments later the pressure was gone and I could move again.
As we are the original owners of the house (and no one has died) I doubt it was a ghost. I think maybe I've been reading this thread too much.

They had a few personal experiences with coldspots. Dustin & Donna heard plates rattling in the kitchen area which they caught on the recorder. Brian had seen what he thought was a man standing in a hallway, but no evidence of it on film. And Barry (:lovestruc ) caught a man's face on his new digital camera that can pick up IR and infrared light. It was a good pic of the ghost who in my opinion resembled the original owner of the castle.

They tried to debunk a woman's experience of being "pushed" down a concrete stairway. She knew she had been pushed specifically from the 6th step and that particular step had a lip which the other steps did not so she could have caught her foot versus being pushed. My gripe is, they never asked her if she "felt" pushed, or feeling a push from behind or a hand pushing her. Anyone else have a thought on that?

I'm assuming everyone know this already, but just a reminder that they typically re-air the previous weeks episode the hour before the new episode begins the next week, so you will still have an opportunity to catch it next Wed.

I was a bit upset about the lady on the stairs too. If she walked those stairs all the time wouldn't she know about the lip..they lamost made her sound like a nut for thinking she was pushed. I don't remember if she felt a push or not. I missed a few minutes in the beginning so I missed some of the tour stuff.

OH no just as I thought, I did not se it but it does not sound like it rates even 5 ghosts! What is it with this team? Mabye the the sprits do not like them and do not come out LOL! I will watch it today.

I guess this was not Lullaby Lane.

On another note,

do you think that Disney would ever let GH on Pirates of the Carribean?

I actually tried the say George 3 times when I was there in April. Nothing happened. Of course I just whispered it so maybe he didn't hear me.

My problems with the debunking is that she works there. Goes down thoses steps how many times a day every day for several yrs. If the lip was so noticable to cause people to fall, wouldn't it be more likely that visitors would trip over it, instead of someone who walks thoses steps every day

Yep, I agree.

Yep never could stand Andy

Yipppeee....looks like Shannon in gone. couldn't stand her
Rob...I just don't like

Love Brian, but he does get too excited when he thinks he sees something.
But it isn't as bad as Steve on GH. Love the guy but his jumping at every little bug, heights etc is too distracting. I wonder how much is missed because of his freakouts.

Hey, did you notice they still got the spider shot in there though

I think you should call GH and have them come to your's and Breezy's home with all of the activity you have had.

I had to laugh. I was going to respond to the first post with the exact same thing. My kids always said I should call then to check out our attic (due to my window issues) and I said I would have to clean the whole house and especially the attic first because I remeber that show with that really messy house and I was amazed the GH actually showed that episode.

could have been sleep paralysis. Just to make you think...being the first owners in a home means nothing, it could be risidual from what happened on the land before your house was built.

BTW, welcome to the thread.

Hi everybody!!:goodvibes

I have been gone for awhile, just been here long enough to jump on read the post then gotta go:upsidedow Summer is crazy, all the neighborhood kids come here, oh well :thumbsup2

Welcome to all the new poster's!

I dont know if anyone will remember but waaaaaay back a few post I said I remember my grandma (who's house I live in now) liked playing with the board.
Well I finally thought to ask my mom the story about it, it turns out that back many years ago when my mom was little (she is 60 now) my grandparents and there friends would get togther on a saturday night and try "Table Tipping" they were also had a gal come over that read cards. They did this for some time, and as my mom says nothing ever happened but them drinking to much, until the last time they ever did it.

The last time there were 5 of them, my grandparents, another couple and the "card" lady. So the night started as it did every weekend, darkened kitchen, no kids allowed, beer and whatever it was they used that night to envoke the spirits.
So as my grandma says "they all felt weird that night" and the card lady said to them "something bad is here" so they started the table tipping. They all set around the table with fingers touching and the card lady was calling out to whom ever was there and after about 10 minutes the table started to shake. So thinking that someone was doing gram said they kept going, and then it began to shake harder and then they start thinking that there was no way that any of them could shake this big old wooden table.
So the guys talk the girls into trying it "one more time" that night so they did and my grandma said that the table started shaking and kinda going on two legs then the other two, so my grandmas girlfriend jumps up and says "stop, stop I dont want to do this anymore" and gram says at that moment the table slammed on to one side and slide across the floor to the wall and rattled up against the wall for a couple seconds then fell over on to the table top! :scared1:

Soooooooo that ended those saturday night gatherings!:lmao:

needless to say no table tipping in this house anymore!:scared:

Oh and I still am not crazy about GHI, that lead guy Rob:headache: and Andy:sad2: now I am glad that Shannon is gone. I will tune in but I miss regular GH:sad1:
Take Care All

I love love LOVE Ghosthunters! Steve is my favorite. It killed me when he brought the can of bug spray with him. I only wish there were new episodes more often. i really dont care for the International one either. Brian gets on my nerves. I hate that 'dude run' hat! lol
My fave is the FL lighthouse. Well, the thermal image on that last episode of the being stepping out into the hallway was really great as well.

I havent read all the posts here... I do remember that house that wasnt so clean. And all i could think was 'if your going to have your house on tv, clean it!!!' :rotfl2:

DL55: Sounds like it could have been an alien! :scared1: (I watch those shows too and people describe that feeling of someone in the room and not being able to move). :)

As for those untidy homes -- maybe they think the mess will scare away the ghosts. I'm sure you'd never see a ghost brave enough to haunt the Roloffs from Little People, Big World! :rotfl:

Never think that just b/c you were the original owner of the house that it could not be haunted. Spirits could be attached to the land or even an object in your home. ....NOT to scare you but you might as well join the rest of us in sleepless nights.

I have no problems sleeping..must be cause I sleep with the TV on all night. ;) Now staying asleep is sometimes an issue, especially when you are sound asleep and hear a male voice yell nance (not nancy) and there are no males home at the time. :scared1: nance is what friends call me, they tend to drop the "y". That one had my heart racing for a good long time. mainly because I was instantly wide awake and I even yelled "what" out loud thinking it was my DH, then I realized he had gone to work already.

In actuality a messy house and chaos is actually a place that attracts the spirits. My house is not a mess except I have a ton of stuff in my attic. LOL!
I have been slowly throwing away toys etc first because I do not need them and second to get rid of the chaos b/c I cannot stand it. If it gets rid of the ghost...well that is just one more benefit. Although, I hve NOT been up there since the EVP. I made my husband do the smudge and tell them to leave. I know, I know never send a man to do a job that you need done correctly but I am still too afraid to go up.

messy house, well that explains it. My attic is disaster city..maybe it was trying to escape and the window was the only way out!:lmao:

I liked the GHI episode but then I don't mind Rob as much as some of you do and I was so pleased to see Dustin. I always thought that Dustin was an excellent investigator and it's nice to see him active again. I also like the Irish guy and Brian is amusing if not trustworthy.

The house was cool. I would love to actually see some of these places.

Yea, i though it could be sleep paralysis even though I wake up a lot and never had it before.
:wave2: Welcome RabbitFood and DL55.

But how would we ever know?

I better not let my DD know that, She's into aliens, likes to go to Roswell.

Then I should have tons of spirits!
It's hard to think of a residual spirit here as there's nothing here but desert. :confused3 Don't collect antiques, only have stuff that I grew up with. Oh well, that's the only story I have. Some of you definitely are sensitive. What amazing stories. :goodvibes

So no one ever died in the desert ? Then again you could have some sort of spiritual vortex.... did I scare you yet?:rotfl:... And ah who said it was residual??? Could be intelligent, could be a relative....no matter how you slice it , it is SCARY!!

I watched GHI last night and it was about a 5 ghoster just like everyone said. I do think however the photo was quite good!! That is what brought it up to 5 ghosts. I also think that if we had had Grant and Jason on the case we would have given the show at least 6 ghosts and been more impressed with the evidence. I think to some extent the cast of GHI tends to make us give a lower score. I remember when they did the show(GH) at the old mortuary and they got the photo of the spirit with the hat on (2nd season). That was the only evidence they got and yet it was a great show.

I just wish GH was on all the time.

Found out today that I am definately going to Orlando in August(dr. report was okay). I will take tons of photos at the lighthouse. I am also going to have EVP BOY set up an account on one of those photo sites since I cannot figure how to size the current lighthouse photos for this site.

My son was kind of upset he just bought a 1ompg camera and when he saw Barry's which could be unfiltered he said he would have gotten one like that. I seriously doubt it would be in MR. EVP's budget but ....let him dream!
