I think it's on the Discovery channel. They're creepy, but I wish there were more of them. Once you start watching, it's not long before they're repeats.
My neighbor's DD12 had a friend sleep over and she brought a ouija board with her. That's something that scares me. DSs wanted to "play" with it --I told them what happened to me, and just said it's not a toy. I gave them a healthy dose of fear and told them they had to use it in the park outback if they did it. They tried once, said it gave them a name and then got scared! They weren't even sure if it was one of them pushing it, but I was glad they were frightened enough to not touch it again.
Here's their question, tho, and I didn't have an answer. They asked "why is it made by a toy company and sold as one?"
That's a good question. My thought are that Parker Bros thought to capitilize on something that was thought by some to be a bunch a garbage. Their thinking being we'll get a bunch of kids at sleepovers using it, someone will be pushing the things around and it will give some scares..but it's really harmless fun. But for those that believe it really works and given the right time, right conditions etc, it can become something you don't want to mess with. I also think that for it to work in a non-toy way there has to be someone there that really believes and is open to the experiences. If everyone goes in with the thought that its alla big joke then nothing will happen. Jut as you get those that are sensitive and can feel and see things while others don't you get one sensitive person in a room with a group that are using it as a game and it opens too many doors.
