Resort Thread Disney's CORONADO SPRINGS Resort

Trying to decide (after researching heavily) if we should do a regular resort view room in the tower (I have heard you can possibly see Epcot and Hollywood Studios so better than a Water view) OR a club level room for our trip next Fall. We will be doing the dining plan so that is why I can't decide if Club level is worth it or not.

Everything I have read makes it seem like the Club level at CSR is good and seems worth it to me but I dont know if since we plan to have the dining plan it makes sense this trip. We previously did Poly club level and we loved it but this was before the dining plan returned.

@dansdad I can't open your link, but if I'm reading the title correctly, pool refurb starts 8/25? If so, I'm wondering if the pool will shut down in advance of 8/25? We are there through 8/23 so I'm wondering if we'll be ok? Thanks for sharing!

Here's the text from the article ... refurb/closure from 8/17-8/24

Walt Disney World Resort has announced that the Cabanas leisure pool at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort will temporarily close this month for refurbishment.
According to the Walt Disney World website, the Cabanas leisure pool at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort will be closed from August 17-24, 2025, for routine maintenance. Guests staying at or visiting the resort may hear noise as work is being completed.
During the closure, guests are encouraged to enjoy the Lost City of Cibola pool, along with the Casitas and Ranchos leisure pools, which will remain open.

@dansdad Thank you for the actual text verbiage. We will be there 8/20-8/23, so we'll miss out on that leisure pool. This will be my first time at CS, so I'm not even sure if this leisure pool will be near where we stay? I booked two standard view village rooms, so I'm assuming that could mean we could be in a lot of different places? We always try to hit the leisure pools, rather than the main pool to avoid the crowds, so we'll just have to see which leisure pool is closest to our room. Thanks for the info!

The views of Epcot and HS are quite distance. I wouldn’t make a decision based on that alone. Those rooms also look over the parking lot. Obviously the higher the room the less obtrusive the parking area is.

I was in a resort view in the tower and tbh unless you are really high up you're mostly seeing parking lot. I wouldn't choose based just on that.

If you have your heart set on the dining plan I would forgo CL. imo CL is really only worth it if you're going to be making extensive use of the lounge around the different services and that's really not conducive to booking a whole bunch of ADRs to maximize dining credits. I would only do one or the other.

I am a huge fan of club at CSR, but I fully agree with the previous poster that I wouldn't do club level plus dining plan. Those are two big expenses and you just couldn't fully utilize both, it'd be a waste of money.
I have been to CSR CL recently-ish if you have any questions about it.

Thanks everyone. In terms of the Resort View tower room, we plan to stay in the tower in either the lowest level room or splurge on club level (we don't care about view that much when we stay somewhere).

Although we are for sure doing the dining plan we also won't be in the parks as much as normal (late starts, earlier returns, mid day breaks) as we will be traveling with a lot of little ones and doing shorter or more broken up days which is the only reason I am hesitating on club level since it will give those without kids or older kids somewhere to hang out that isn't the room or the pool (and drink as we are all drinkers on vacation).

I know you've said the dining plan is a "for sure", but is there a reason it has to be, are you locked into a package that includes it? Honestly with the schedule you've laid out, I think you're right in thinking you'd be able to get some good utilization out of the club, but I still maintain that if you are doing both club level and dining plan you will be throwing a lot of money away.

You may already know this but one other thing to keep in mind, I don't know what the makeup of your party is, but remember if you have any kids that fall into the 10+ age bracket, they will be paying adult prices for the dining plan, essentially paying a premium for alcoholic beverage(s) that they are obviously not able to get.

We just go back from our trip about 2am. The wife and i stayed here for one night before the family meet us. I wish we could have stayed longer. The hotel was beautiful.

I agree.

It was an amazing discovery for me. I’ve stayed there the last three trips and am returning in October
