Ghost Hunters Thread & Personal Ghost Experiences & other Paranormal Talk.

Wow! I just got shivers Ward! Thanks for sharing that one!

The scariest thing that has happened around here is one little guy got too rambunctious after lights out and had to go to the ER for stitches on a cut over his eyebrow. Fun fun fun! He is healing nicely, but I think I got a few more gray hairs after walking in and seeing blood spattered around his shirt, hands, pants, ankles, and floor.

Of course no one will say what really happened so maybe it was a poltergeist! Not!:confused3

I have never seen Ghost Hunters but I swear I saw a ghost in my house a few months ago. It was a Friday night and I let my girls stay up late and watch a movie in the living room, I was in my bedroom down the hall, I'll try to explain the set up. The top of the stairs are at the living room and one end of the hall way, if you go down the hall you will come to the bedrooms there are 3 1 on each side of the hall 1 at the far end of the hall. All the lights were off except at the stairs and in my bedroom. I was standing at the foot of my bed folding laundry and out of the corner of my eye I saw a little girl walk down the hall and into the bedroom. She was wearing a long white gown and just walked by, I assumed it was 1 of my girls and I was expecting the light to go on, neither of them would have gone into a room and left the lights off. The light never went on so I walked out into the hallway and went into the room and there was noone there. I checked the other bedroom and noone, I was saying their names and from the living room I hear "yes, mommy" I walk out into the living room and my oldest is sitting in the recliner and my youngest is asleep on the couch. I ask who went into the bedroom and my DD says she has been sitting there and hasn't moved and her sissy has been asleep for about 15 minutes. I ask where the dog is, thinking I may have seen the dog, nope the dog is still outside where I left her. I start to think that my DD was the 1 in the bedroom and she may think she's in trouble so she's hiding it so I keep telling her that it's ok if she was in the bedroom that mommy just wants to know. She swears that she hasn't gotten up out of the chair since the movie started so I say ok, mommy just thought she heard her in the room, no big deal. Then I notice that my oldest DD is wearing a long black tshirt that she got from dance camp, an adult shirt, and my youngest DD is wearing a blue and green tink short pj set, neither of them are even wearing a long white or light colored night gown. Of course, no one believes me, but I stand firmly by my story!!!! I don'y know what I saw and haven't seen it since but I know I saw it.

eek- scary! Is your home old? Do you know any of it's history??

Darn! *I* wanna see a ghost!:guilty:

Here’s a story I forgot about. I think it's too good to wait for Saturday's ghost stories. (well that and the fact that I might forget again too. ) MIL told me about it several years ago. We had some old friends of DH over for the 4th and they started talking about Jane and it jogged my memory.

My DMIL was one of 3 den mothers for DH’s cub scout troop (this was in 1974). The other 2 den mothers were her two BFF’s, Katherine and Jane. MIL lived right across the street from Jane and Katherine lived 2 blocks away.
Jane had some depression problems and one day she decided to end it all and hung herself in her basement. Her son found her in the basement when he came home from school that day – he was in the cub scouts too, he was only around 7 or 8 at the time. Well the coroner came and took Jane away. A couple of days later Katherine was over at MIL’s house and they were standing out by Katherine’s car talking because Katherine was leaving after a long visit. MIL looked over at Jane’s house because they were talking about her and how sad her suicide was. MIL noticed the front door was open, she thought it was very odd because no one was home at that time. All of the sudden Jane appeared in the front screen door staring at them. She looked ‘real’ like an actual person standing there. MIL pointed over to the house so Katherine would look too and Katherine saw exactly the same thing. They both described to each other what Jane was wearing; they both saw the same thing. Jane stood there for about 30 seconds and then disappeared (literally).

Wow!!!:dance3:

Great stories all! I just came by to see if everyone was ready for Wednesday and I find all of these stories. :)

I'd better subscribe...

The View just came on here and they are talking about ghosts and the paranormal. :happytv:

I copied and pasted this story from another section of WDWinfo. I thought it was appropriate for this thread.;)
Years ago, a maintenance guy (or Imagineer) named George was killed during the building of the Pirates ride. They say his ghost haunts the ride to this day. The workers have to say "goodnight George" before they shut down the ride each night, or there will be problems with the ride the next day. My 12-year old asked the attendant while we were boarding the boat if he said goodnight to George. He said of course! We don't want the ride to break down! The thread also said that if you yell out George 3 times during the fire scene, something "may" happen. The kids had a blast with this and yelled out even though people were looking at us!

:scared1: Weird that she would hang herself - not a usual method for females. Is there any possibility she was murdered? Great story ward. I see you've been holding out on us ;) . :rotfl:

Oh, and I can't wait to try the George thing the next time we ride Pirates. :hyper:

Hi all! I've been lurking on this thread for a few days now (took a while to read through it all!) and there are some awesome experiences and stories in here!

I sometimes watch the paranormal shows, as long as they seem real. Ghost Hunters is usually pretty good - I like that they attempt to debunk happenings until there is no reasonable explanation left. I hate that it seems SO scripted, though, particularly when they're telling the owners of the house what they've found. Some of the ghostie shows are too goofy to be believed. I really cannot stand the one with the British people, where they're always filming with an infrared camera. They chalk every little sound up to spirits, and it seems like someone is always getting accosted by a ghost.

As far as my personal experiences with the other side, there have been a few. Some of my family are sensitive, too. I'll start with a story of my mom's, that's eerily similar to the story just told by wardfamily.

When my mom was a kid, she knew a woman in her neighborhood named Jean. She was an older lady, very sweet, and always let my mom hang out at her house when she needed to (home life wasn't always too great). One day, my mom was walking home from school, and she saw Jean standing on the corner. She ran up and said, "Hi Jean! Can I come over later?" Jean just looked at her and walked away, as if she was ignoring her. Confused, my mom walked the rest of the way home wondering what she'd done to make Jean mad. When she got home, her mother (my grandmother) greeted her at the door and said she had some bad news -- Jean had passed away that morning.

:lmao: Can you see those of us on this thread when going on the POTC bringing our thermal imaging camera, EMF detector, meters, monitors:lmao: :rotfl2: For SOME reason- this scene from Sleepy Hollow popped in my head- when JD has his bag of tricks for the autopsy:rotfl2:

I found this interesting::thumbsup2

I am convinced I was here [in France] in past times. I do believe in reincarnation.

Hey Tammy! You too should try and get some EVPs- Before I found the voice activated recorder at a yard sale- I went looking at Best Buy etc- the recorders were kind of expensive that is why I never picked one up. Maybe you should just snap some pics in the room too- (of course ask his permission first- always be mindful of your ghosts;) )

I will definitely give this a try. We recently purchased an outdoor camera to catch photos of critters, I was just thinking how great that would be to set up in the house and see if we catch anything. It's very sensitive, this just might work to catch a ghostly being!!

My cousin lives in a developement and she had a elderly man living next to her- she would help him out all the time and he became pretty close to she and her family. A few weeks ago- my cousin was worried b/c she had not seen him in a few days, she asked a few neighbors and they said maybe he went on vacation- she thought that was odd b/c he would have told her and she would have kept an eye on his house- she called the police and when they went in they found him dead. What really upset my cousin was, her daughter was graduating from high school that week- and she found a card on his table addressed to her daughter, he was going to give it to her for graduating :guilty: :sad1:

These are some great stories! Thanks so much for sharing them as I really enjoyed reading them.

Now I will patiently wait for a ghostly story of my own to hopefully occur.....

:rotfl: Yup, I can see it. Just don't put Bella in charge of the EVP's. ;) :rotfl:

WOW BREEZY!!! Are you considering trying to contact Aunt Bertha? (Without your mom knowing of course). Maybe she was trying to tell you something or wants you to help her with some unfinished business pertaining to the house. :confused3

Ummm, that would be a big fat, NO. :rotfl: I never wanted the contact in the first place. Anyway, I don't think she had unfinished business in the house. The "talking" she did sounded more like a cheerful little something she must have wanted to convey, even though it was garbled and she opened by calling my name in a spooky way - she must've been trying to get my attention - she got it! I thought it was interesting that she "talked" to me out in the barn and I never "felt" her in the house. My guess - Uncle John must have been really nasty, and she didn't want to go in the house with him. From what I learned about him - I don't blame her. LOL It explains a lot - and I'm glad we met up with the old neighbors.

I'm going to ask MIL next time she comes over. I don't think DH remembers enough about it to bother asking him. He was only 7 at the time so he probably wouldn't have known if there were marital issues or anything like that.

I know I'm going to try the george thing in DEC when I go to WDW.

I had a surgical procedure today and I am trying to work off the antesthesia. It was so weird. While I was sleeping I had so many images going through my head. The funniest part was that they were mostly of Ray O Vac batteries in various designs. NOW me of all people who have had so many experiences while awake....I just figured if some relative was going to contact me this would have been the perfect time.....but no Ray O Vac Batteries contacted me!:rotfl:
