looking to stay at either GF or CC with an almost 4 yo boy in April. I never stayed at copper creek before. Looking for convenience of MK, food, etc...pros & cons?? TIA
I prefer the lodge overall for food selection, although if you have a thing for signature GF is better. CCV is in the main Wilderness Lodge building, but VGF is a walk to the main stuff there.
If you want convenience to MK, you really want to book BLT. You can walk to and from the MK from there. You need to take the monorail or a boat from GFV or boat or bus from CCV.
For an almost 4 year old, don’t discount the attraction of riding the boat from WL to MK! Doesn’t take much longer than the monorail. And Roaring Fork and Geyser Point are a lot shorter walk from the DVC villas than Gasparilla Grill is from VGF.
My 4 and 7 year olds love CCV. They like the boat rides to MK, the pools, and the food selection. For some reason the little bridge in the lobby over the water was a huge hit, they ran over that thing 50 times a day along with all the other kids in the lobby.

You will also be able to walk to MK from VGF. They are building a bridge to connect an existing walkway right now and I would image they will be done by April. Personally don’t like the theming and style of BLT. I would go with VGF.
