I’m currently on the Disney Magic on their 14 day Panama Canal cruise and I had some asthma issues and got a breathing treatment and some meds from the infirmary. They told me that I could file with my insurance to get reimbursed. I did buy travel insurance thru Disney. Can I get the medical expenses reimbursed thru Disney’s trip insurance?

Read the policy. I don’t have access to ours now, but we received it after we paid in full. I’m going to bring a copy with us on our cruise.

Just make sure you keep whatever docs they gave you for the treatment to submit to the insurance carrier

I had to go to medical on my September cruise for an IV and migraine meds. I paid at the time of service and was given a receipt and submitted it to Allianz travel insurance and was reimbursed with two weeks

Can I get the medical expenses reimbursed thru Disney’s trip insurance?
Pay upfront -- which may mean at the time of service or the charges appear on your stateroom account, but BE SURE to get an itemized receipt. You'll need that for any insurance claim. The trip insurance may or may not require you to submit to your regular health insurance first before it will pay out. Read your policy to know the details of what you have to do and what documentation you'll need (such as a denial notice from your regular health insurance).

Sorry you are ill while on vacation. Hopefully you'll be feeling better before it ends.

DH got in touch with our TA, Tracy, who gave him the website that he should go to. So, contact your TA, if you have questions.
