I am loving all your wedding plans! And I absolutely love being able to see you all the time with your save-the-date on !! 236 days!!!

I LOVE your choice of bridesmaids dress. One shoulders are awesome, I love them soooooooooooo much!! And OMG about Chris' sister saying that stuff. I mean, obviously you are not a bridezilla and you DO take into consideration your girls and their shapes and how the dress looks on them and stuff...but come on. They are lucky you do that, and you have the final say. If you wanted to put them in a little bo-peep-esque dress, then they need to shut up and wear it! It's your day! lol. I think it looks great and I really do love it. I'm glad you just avoided the drama and didn't have her be a bridesmaid anymore. Go Kristen!

Side story: So I'm on the internet on my laptop and G is sitting next to be playing video games. He sits back for a second and sees what I'm doing and goes "What is this? Disney emailing central?" And I tell him I'm talking to you and that I was just on your other thread and now I'm on the disneymoon one and I'm all non-chalant and he looks at me blankly and goes, "DISNEYmoon?" And I just die laughing. I forget some people don't know our lingo. Can't wait to make this boy fluent!

But I had to ask.. I just read your PTR and was wondering where you are having your reception. It looks so familiar! I live on Long Island too. (Plus I work around the corner from Oheka Castle.. AMAZING!)

Sorry about the drama with Chris's sister . I don't get along with Zach's sister really and he's hinted that when we get married he'd really like for her to be a bridesmaid. No way!
I've been to a wedding at Oheka Castle. By far the ritziest place I've ever been to for an event. It's gorgeoussss. Glad you were able to meet some great vendors!
Ooo, I hope you can get BCV!! It would be amazing to be so close to Epcot for your trip!

Hey girly!!! I'm glad you love my choice in bridesmaids dress!! Currently there is no drama with Chris' sister. She re-thought her decision and with the coaxing of Chris' mom, decided to be in the wedding. Thankfully!!! I appreciate your support my love!

Oh Garret needs to become Disney fluent asap...I'm pretty sure a trip would make that happen faster

Hey DISers!! I can't even believe I haven't updated on here for over a month...what the heck?! It's fairly late and I'm going to bed soon but I do have an update coming up. Here's what's new, in a shortened version.

-- Chris' sister is back in the wedding. Her mom (Chris' stepmom) talked to her and she reconsidered. Everything is going much better between her and I so I'm happy now

-- I think I found jewlery to buy! I'll have pictures in the update.

-- March 29 was our 7 month mark for the Disneymoon...my friend we rented the DVC points from called to see if we could switch resorts. Did we get BWV or BCV??

-- I know the date for my bridal shower! The only reason I know it is because tinkgurl is coming to NY for it! So I needed to know the date so I could coordinate with her. Otherwise, I don't know any details.

-- ADR day is quickly approaching! I'll give you my wish list!

** I'm sure I will think of more before I update later in the week ​

Hi everyone! I’m so sorry I haven’t posted in so long! I do have some things to update on so let’s get on with the show!

First off, our wedding is in 193 days! I can’t even believe how fast time is flying. Next weekend we head West to tinkgurl’s bridal shower! Then, July 28th is my shower! As I said in my last update, I know when the shower is because tinkgurl is coming here then for it since she’s a bridesmaid. Yay! I don’t know any other details about my shower though. My mom and MOH, Danielle, are keeping that under wraps! So exciting!

Also in my little update, I mentioned I think I found jewelry. I decided my dress would match well with pearls. That works out well because I already have a pearl necklace. Ever since I was a baby until probably I graduated high school, I got a pearl for every special occasion in my life…my baptism, communion, different birthdays, etc. They all are strung on a necklace and I’m going to get the 2 pearls I picked in Epcot (in Japan at the Mitsukoshi store in 2010) added on before the wedding too. This will be very special to me! So basically, I still needed some earrings and a bracelet. Not too long ago, I found out that Disney makes Fairytale Wedding jewelry! I got so excited when I found these two pieces in that collection

I love them both! The only problem is the closest store to me that sells them is about an hour away from me. Eventually I will make my way out there though to take a look.

The 6 month mark for the wedding is coming on the 28th of this month. We’ve been looking at invitations recently and I think we’ve found what we like. When we pick for sure, I’ll show you all a picture.

Now on to the Disneymoon! I know many of you have been waiting to hear if we were able to switch our resort. I actually convinced Chris that if we were able to do a split stay for at least 5 nights at each place, we’d do it. I was fairly sure that there’d be no way we’d get an Epcot area resort for 12 nights during the Food & Wine Festival. Well, I was right. Unfortunately, there’s NOTHING available at the BWV or BCV. Not even for a night. We are waitlisted for BWV though. I’m not going to hold my breath but honestly, I’m not upset! I would LOVEEE to be at the BWV but I am still super happy we’ll be at SSR. The pools look awesome and although it’s a large resort, I have faith we’ll get our requested section, Congress Park. The views of DTD from there look beautiful and I like that we’ll be able to walk right over! So, currently, still at SSR.

I’m pretty sure I’ve mentioned it but we’re going to Universal and Islands of Adventure one day while we’re there. Chris loves US and IoA and we both are dying to see the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

Actually, I was out of books to read so I started reading the HP books. I know they’re kinda old at this point but I’ve never read them or seen the movies! I feel like reading them now will just make me appreciate at WWoHP even more. A few weeks ago, I purchased our US/IoA tickets! I got a 1 day, 2 park ticket so we can go to both parks on one day. We’ll have a car while we’re there so we’ll just drive over.

Lastly, ADR day is May 2! I’ll give you all a breakdown of what we’ve decided to do. It’s a lot and I’m so excited about all of it!!

I guess I'm not really surprised either but I know I've read on the DVC page on facebook that even people who have those places as their home resorts have trouble getting in sometimes. Which is the nice thing about SSR-gotta love how it's so big. I know you will love it there.

But YAY for going to Universal and WWOHP!!! I hope you enjoy the books-they are always fun to read and it will definitely make you appreciate the land more.

Sorry you weren't able to get a epcot resort like you hoped but hopefully something will open up at some point and even if it doesn't SSR is still a goregous resort and no matter what i'm sure you will have a great time!

Yay for harry potter land! I am a massive harry potter fan so obviously that place is a necessity despite the fact it isn't on disney property! It is such an amazing place (especially if you have read up to the fourth book or have seen up to the fourth movie). Can't wait to see what you think about it! oh just saw the part about you begining to read them now, how do you like the books so far?

* IoA's Wizarding World is so cool. I don't like Universal all that much but I go now for that. They did such a great job on that area, it looks just like it came straight out of the books/movies.

Great Update and Im glad Chris's sister has made the right decision and rejoined your wedding Im sure that makes things run alot smoother . Hopefully things keep going good for you! I can't believe TINKGURLS shower is here already your both going to be married before we know it . I LOVE the Jewelry you picked out . Hopefully you can go pick it out soon . Knowing about your shower for that reason is a good thing but bot can they torcture you and keep you in SUSPENSE knowing the date but NOT the DETAILS .
I hope you get all your ADRS sounds like good picks to me . We are actually throwing around the idea of doing US and IOA in June for a day not sure if we are yet but we havent been there in quite a few yrs . So sad you couldn't change your resort but keep the faith you may get at least 5 days in one of them
