Hi Kristen!! I have read all of Memom and tinkgurl's trip reports so I feel like I know you. I have read through your PTR today. Congrats on the engagement and wedding plans!! So exciting!
I really wanted to comment to say thanks for mentioning the SW reward points deal. I have been trying (unsuccessfully) to convince DH to fly instead of drive. I went to the SW website and today was the last day to sign up for the card to get the deal. So I applied!!!! I think I can talk him into using FREE flights!!!

* Great update! I love pearls, and the jewelry looks great. I really love the idea of getting a pearl every year and then putting them all onto one necklace! Not only will that be beautiful, it's also so meaningful.
* I'm glad you're happy with SSR. I know that will be beautiful and wonderful as well!
* I hope you're enjoying reading the Harry Potter books! I am a diehard fan, so I'm very glad you are reading them!
* IoA's Wizarding World is so cool. I don't like Universal all that much but I go now for that. They did such a great job on that area, it looks just like it came straight out of the books/movies.
* The ADRs look great! We did a bunch of similar ones for our honeymoon - Cinderella's Royal Table, Sci-Fi, T-Rex, Chefs de France, and Kouzzina (though we did dinner and not lunch). I'm getting hungry just looking at these!

Great Update and Im glad Chris's sister has made the right decision and rejoined your wedding Im sure that makes things run alot smoother . Hopefully things keep going good for you! I can't believe TINKGURLS shower is here already your both going to be married before we know it . I LOVE the Jewelry you picked out . Hopefully you can go pick it out soon . Knowing about your shower for that reason is a good thing but bot can they torcture you and keep you in SUSPENSE knowing the date but NOT the DETAILS .
I hope you get all your ADRS sounds like good picks to me . We are actually throwing around the idea of doing US and IOA in June for a day not sure if we are yet but we havent been there in quite a few yrs . So sad you couldn't change your resort but keep the faith you may get at least 5 days in one of them

I'm happy she's back too, we've been getting along very well. We had the best time at tinkgurl's shower, it was just amazing and we miss them a lot.

Isn't that SW deal amazing?!!? We flew home from Chicago a few weeks ago, to and from Chicago in August, to and from Orlando for our honeymoon ALL FOR FREE and we still will have points left over. I'm glad you applied!!

Hello my wonderful readers and friends, thanks again for sticking with me! I have a bunch of updates since the last time I posted! Even some things that I had forgotten to post about!! Let me see…

* We purchased our MNSSHP tickets!! Halloween night, baby!! I just hate how there is no AP or advance purchase discount for that night but I guess I am not surprised lol

*I picked up my wedding dress!! I decided not to get my alterations done at the bridal salon I bought it from, as I had heard several negative stories about them and their seamstresses. So, I went there last week with my mom, dad and MOH, tried it on, loved it and took it home! Now when it gets closer, I can just take it to a seamstress I trust. Obviously I’m not going to post a picture because Chris does creep on here from time to time lol but I will post a picture of the headpiece I picked.

*I made all of our ADR’s! I got everything I wanted!! Here’s my list now…I’ve already made some changes since the last time I posted, and since I made them just a week ago haha

October 29-
California Grill- 9:10 pm
- Wishes are at 10 that night so this should work out perfectly. I actually have been trying to get like 8:30 instead but no luck so far.

October 30-
Hollywood Brown Derby- Fantasmic package, 11:30 am
Sci-Fi Drive In- 4:45 pm
- We ate here for lunch in 2009 and I asked Chris if he wanted to go back and he said “yea I’ve been wanting to go back for years”…thanks for telling me, Chris! Lol

- Wasn’t able to get breakfast the first time I called. Checked back every day since and was able to get it! I booked lunch when that was all they had open but really wanted the breakfast

PHEWWWWW! Do you all think that’s enough food? Haha


*I bought Chris’ wedding gift! Like I said, he creeps on here sometimes so I can’t post what it is. I don’t even want to give the smallest hint because he’ll know right away if I do. Let’s just say he’s going to be totally surprised and totally excited. (And I’m totally broke from buying it haha)

*I booked our rental car! I scoured the internet for literally hours looking for deals and coupon codes, checking every single one I could find before I came across a deal from Dollar for $236, over $100 less than every other company! So we’ll be getting the car from 11/3-11/10. I wanted to get it at the end of the trip so that way we’re not relying on Magical Express to take us back to the airport and we can do it on our own time instead of 3 hours before our flight. Plus, we’ll have it for our Universal/Island of Adventure day too. I’m tempted to rent it for the whole trip but I think it will just be too expensive. I’m going to keep looking though.

*I’m debating using Garden Grocer to have some groceries delivered to us. It’s either we do this or we bring a few things in our suitcases and then use the car to get some more stuff on the 3rd. We used GG in 2009 and it was awesome and convenient. Not sure what we’ll do yet.

*My mom and grandmas both ordered their dresses! Here’s my mom but she ordered her dress in a blue color, not a bright blue but not baby blue either. Don’t mind her bra straps lol the actual dress hasn’t come in yet.

And here’s my grandmas, dad’s mom on the left (Flo), mom’s mom on the right (Ellie). Clearly Flo’s dress is much too big lol and we ordered Ellie’s in a burgundy color, not the blue. Their dresses aren’t in yet either

*I booked our flights down to Orlando! We’re leaving at 6:15 am October 29, the day after we get married. I’m sure we’ll be zombies when we get there (we land around 9) but we’ll sleep when we’re on the plan and when we’re in Disney! We just want to get there! The flights were $118 which is a little higher than usual but we had the airline points from our SW credit cards so we didn’t pay for them anyway plus, SW is great and lets you get the points back if the flight price goes down.

*Still waiting to book our Wild Africa Trek…I called twice and they said they’re currently only booking through August. I want to do that on November 1st.

*Also haven’t yet booked our carriage ride. I need to talk to Chris and see if he wants to do the regular ride or the haunted one.

*We’re throwing around the idea of going to MVMCP on November 9th, the first party of the year. Depends on money and if we want to spend our last night doing that.

*Still working on finding invitations. I’ve become obsessed with Etsy and am waiting for a few samples to arrive that I’ve ordered from there.

*I want to get us some personalized shirts, maybe 2 or 3 each. Etsy has a lot of people who will send me an iron on or something but I don’t want to do it myself lol does anybody know anyone reputable with reasonable prices?

*Here’s just a few odds and ends…

Tinkgurl’s grandparents are SUPER sweet. When we were there for her bridal shower a few weekends ago, they gave us this. SOOO nice and thoughtful of them!

This is the hairstyle I want for my bridesmaids. I love it!

Great update Kristen! Looks like you've got some awesome plans for your Disneymoon!

We were married on the 29th (will be 8 years this Oct.) and flew out first thing in the morning on the 30th. I was tired...but, the adrenaline of going to Disney kept me going! We did MNSSHP on Halloween too! It was so much fun!

That headpiece is great and the gowns you were able to show look very nice on your mom and grandmas! I can't wait to see pics of your gown (and hear what Chris's gift is)!

Can't wait to hear more!

We are getting married on Halloween day at Disney (just a small ceremony us and our 2 kids) then doing MNSSHP halloween night (still dressed in my wedding clothes - as they aren't traditional anyway and it is the only night that I can get away with doing this).

I'm doing great for the most part, except for some concerns about baby being too small. I posted more info about it in my TR tonight. Also, sitting on the couch on my laptop is more and more painful, making it hard to keep up with everyone's TR and PTR! Nothing major though, still happy to be pregnant.

Keep checking the rental car prices, they usually go down a month or so before your trip, I always have good luck with Alamo! They prices might seem crazy now, but they almost always go down as you get closer! You also kind of have to stalk them, because prices change from day to day, it's annoying, but it pays off!

Your ADR's... LOOK.AMAZING. -- SO.JEALOUS. TY TY TY for keeping Raglan Road! i promise you won't be disappointed! (not that I ever think you would be with anything at Disney anyway!) Their menu is SO GOOD and ask to be seated near the entertainment!! We've gotten sat at a booth at the far end of the restaurant before and asked to be moved... we like to see the guys play and the irish dancing! it's fun you 2 will love it! Their bread pudding is probably one of my favorite desserts in all of Disney. Maybe of all time. (I know... that's saying a LOT!) The bread they bring to your table when you first sit down is SO GOOD too... ugh okay I gotta stop talking about this now, i'm looking like a freak haha!! I'm sorry you didn't get CRT for bfast... that stinks, but lunch still sounds great!!
