Getting Married and Celebrating with a Disneymoon! October 2012 PTR~Update 5/17 pg 14

Yes, I totally agree with everything that Kimmy said!

Josh & I are looking forward to being able to celebrate with yall on your big day! It's going to be so exciting and an absolute blassstttt <3

YAAAAY! :goodvibes

Ahhhhh we are going to have the best time!!

I can't wait to meet you Lauren and Kimmy!

I can't wait either! I've been wanting to for so long!!

How long are both of you planning on being in town? I will probably be going for more than just the weekend and I told Kristen she HAS to take me to the Disney store in NYC lol...we should all go!!

Can't wait to follow you along with your wedding and Disneymoon plans! =)

I'm joining in and all caught up!! I've loved reading all about your plans so far. You are going to LOVE renting points and staying at a DVC resort. I don't think we will ever go without doing this. Your engagement pics are beautiful, and I'm excited to follow along!

Oh gosh, this PTR has been terribly neglected thanks to life and the trip we just went on :headache:

I will update this weekend (pinky promise) however I wanted to say that the link for my new TR for the trip we just got back from is in my signature! Please come on over and join in!! :goodvibes

Port Orleans has my vote as the most romantic Disney property resort. Make sure you request mansion side in a renovated room, and make sure it is noted that you'll be celebrating your honeymoon on your reservation so you'll get extra "magical" treatment.

Best Wishes!

P.S. You'll be just in time for the Epcot Food and Wine Festival!

:yay:

Welcome back! I'm gonna hop over to your TR now. :)

BTW, the ticker in my signature has changed color. :rolleyes1

I'm in :) Loved hearing you and chris's how we met story and your engagement story. That engagement story in particular is absolutely adorable!

My brother and his wife actually just got married in december and also went 2 disney for there honeymoon. while people teased them about going to disney for there honeymoon they found a lot of fun and romantic things to do in disney that made the trip special. speaking of special you guys seem to have a lot of super fun things you get to do on you disney moon this time around! Food and wine festival in particular sounds like it will be a blast!

Your wedding venue looks absolutely gorgeous as well! All of your pictures of it are great :)

Hey everyone! I have some time to do the quick update that I promised I would give you this past weekend...sorry!! Thanks for sticking around with me, there hasn't been too much to update on lately.

The first exciting thing to update you all on is that we picked bridesmaids dresses! Here is the dress, except the color is Espresso. You can click on the color chart and see it in the right color.

For whatever reason the website won't let me right click on the picture and save it. Anyway, we went to the bridal shop a few weekends ago with 3 of my bridesmaids. Two other bridesmaids had prior commitments and the other, Tinkgurl, lives 1000 miles away lol so just the 3 could go, plus my mom and grandma and Chris' mom. Everyone liked the dress but I love it!! It's different from all the other bridesmaids dress I usually see at weddings and all my girls are skinny so they are going to look amazing. :goodvibes

Since being in Disney a few weeks ago, I've been thinking a lot about Disney food (shocking, right?). After being in WDW with our lovely Tables in Wonderland card, we realized that the dining plan is definitely not going to be a part of our honeymoon. The TiW card worked so well for us because we can get appetizers instead of dessert, plus it's good on alcohol! In our short 4 day trip, we easily made back the money that we spent on the TiW card. Plus this gives us the ability to be less rigid in our dining. We want to eat at several signature restaurants as well as one of the dinner shows so the regular dining plan wasn't going to be enough credits. The deluxe dining plan has SO many credits. I think if we were going for a week we'd go for the deluxe plan however, 12 nights is 36 credits each, not including snacks! We'll NEVER eat that much food! Bottom line of all this rambling, no DDP or DxDP for us. So, here are the restaurants we're thinking of eating at on our most special, magical trip yet!

Breakfast:
*Kona Cafe
*Kouzzina
*Tusker House
*Cinderella's Royal Table

Lunch:
*Liberty Tree Tavern
*50's Prime Time Cafe
*Hollywood Brown Derby (with Fantasmic! package)

Dinner:
*'Ohana
*Cape May Cafe
*Raglan Road
*California Grill
*T-Rex
*Biergarten
*Narcoossee's
*Hoop De Doo Review
*Sanaa
*Le Cellier
*Kona Cafe

18 planned meals in 12 nights...we're gonna gain like 15 lbs each :rotfl: It will be worth it to eat all that delicious Disney food though! Some places we've eaten at before but some are new to us. I'm so excited!! Anyone think of anywhere we should add or have any opinions on where we're thinking?

You made a great choice on the braidsmaid dress, they will fill like princess.

Your dining choice made me hungry just reading over them.

AHHHHHH your plans to eat look AMAZING. You did well picking great restaurants!! Some I haven't eaten at but I definitely want to try them!!!! I can't wait to see your reviews on them. :) You added RAGLAN ROAD!! MY FAVORITE lol... it is in my own opinion that this restaurant does not get enough attention lol!!

Your bridesmaids dresses are beautiful!!!!

ETA: I love that you love the TiW ... I think we're going to invest in that shortly as often as we go!

Hey GIRL! :wave2:

I need to go subscribe to your new trip report asap. I've been slacking on the DIS lately. :guilty:

Your bridesmaids' dresses are gorgeous! I love that you picked a one shoulder dress.... and the color is so pretty :goodvibes

DISNEY FOOOOOOD!:cloud9::love: All of my favorites on your list, so you did good. :rotfl: You'll have to let me know how yall like T-Rex... Jake wants to eat there so badly one day. (He doesn't know we're going in December, so it's a SURPRISE!)

Woooo can't wait for your wedding!!

I cannot wait to get my bridesmaids dress in!!! It's gorgeous! And I'm happy you included me through the phone when picking it out. :)

*Kona Cafe- Kona is so good! If you want coffee, you guys should get the pressed coffee pot here. And of course, TONGA TOAST!
*Kouzzina- I've never been there for any meal!
*Tusker House- This was such a fun breakfast when we went together!!
*Cinderella's Royal Table- I've never been there for breakfast! That should be fun! It's such a neat place to eat.

*Liberty Tree Tavern- I'm weird and not a big fan of LTT. :confused3
*50's Prime Time Cafe- Never been there either!
*Hollywood Brown Derby (with Fantasmic! package)- HBD is so good!! And the Fantasmic package is great. Just be sure to go get your seats close to when they open your entrance. It can still get full fast and you want to be able to pick out a good spot!

*'Ohana- I'll be expecting some texts with you're loopy from Lapu Lapu again!
*Cape May Cafe- We haven't been here in awhile. We've always liked it though!
*Raglan Road- I know you like it here. We want to try this sometime!
*California Grill- I love how we are both eating here on our honeymoon. I'll let you know what we have.
*T-Rex- Little Guy would LOVE to eat here!!!!
*Biergarten- I knew you guys would eat here!!
*Narcoossee's- I hope it's open for you!! I'll be a little jealous.
*Hoop De Doo Review- Such a fun meal. We should do it together sometime!
*Sanaa- This is another one we want to try. We just didn't have enough time on the honeymoon for everything!!
*Le Cellier- Love Le Cellier. I think it's Fiance's favorite restaurant at WDW.
*Kona Cafe- Eating dinner at Kona will always remind me of the night we all ate together. :lovestruc

The dress you picked out is beautiful! And your dining plans look really yummy. I agree with you on the regular dining plan not being enough credits to do signatures, but the deluxe being too many! So TIW seems the way to go. We ate at a few of those places on our honeymoon - our favorite was Narcoossee's!

Wowwww you have a lot of good meals picked out! I see several that I am dying to try myself!

The bridesmaids' dresses are SO cute! I love that it's a one-shoulder dress too. The color also really strikes me as perfect for a fall wedding :lovestruc

Hi there! I've been a little gone, but I see you have too!:goodvibes

First, CONGRATULATIONS on finishing school! DS and DDIL are teachers - I know what a huge accomplishment this is!

Love the bridesmaid dress - especially the color you chose! I'm looking forward to your TRs - love your ADR choices - you will have plenty to eat for sure!:rotfl2:

The TIW sounds like a good choice for you!

I have been slacking so much with DIS I 'll have to go back and catch up later but the dress you picked is Fabulous ! I can't wait to see it all come together. I love your restaurant choices :) The TIW Card seems like a good deal ! I probably need to look into that and see how it would work for my familywe maybe going in Sept for Food & Wine if I can swing it after our June 2 day Disney stay and Disney Cruise.
But now unfortunately I have to leave for work in a few minutes but Im going to come back tonight to catch up ;)

I got behind on commenting on everyone's TR and PTR, but just wanted to say that I think the dresses look gorgeous!

I'm finally all caught up! I LOVeeeee your Save the Date cards with the Pooh Quote! The colors are great ! The idea of the Disney songs playing softly while eating dinner is a really cool idea! You really came across an awesome deal with those Southwest Credit Cards the Free Flights for Tinkgurls wedding and your Honeymoon what an amazing savings :) I can't believe your already only a lil more than 8 months away from your Big day ! :goodvibes

Love the bridesmaid dresses! They are beautiful! :cloud9:

And I love all of the ADR choices, too. You've got so many yummy places in there. We did the TiW card on our honeymoon since we had APs at the time and loved it - I wish we still had one! It really is a money saver. :thumbsup2
