I totally agree :thumbsup2 the pools are crowded enough with the guest but golly to not have a chair to sit in at the resort I paid for ...while many of the non guest are lounging in chairs meant for me  STAY AT YOUR OWN POOL PEOPLE :lmao: seriously ~ if you want to be at a certain pool then pay to stay at that resort ...easy simple and to the point! LOL

I have never been one to tattle on pool hoppers but if I go down to the pool I am paying to use and there are no chairs and someone comments or I overhear they don't belong ..you bet your sweet bottom I am reporting them and if the life guard doesn't do something I will report him too :rotfl2:
We are planning a lot of pool time on our trip due to the heat. All of the pools are crowded during the summer ..if you throw in dead beat pool hoppers ...well it just makes it worse. I will applaud anyone that has to take the pool hopper walk of shame... I will point and laugh at them ..heck I might even take photos :lmao:

Amen!!!:thumbsup2

BTW, to drop your kids off at some resort pool for the day is deplorable!

Please mark me as member no1 for your website :rotfl2::rotfl2:

errrr ... member to view the dead beat pool hoppers or are you going to be the first dead beat pool hopper I post?! :lmao::lmao::lmao:

I think I might even be a Diva about my pool this trip ... If I walk down there and there are no chairs available ... I am going to march up to the lifeguard and demand they do a resort ID check ... even if I don't overhear anything  so all of you dead beat pool hoppers take warning ... don't go pool hopping over at the GF for the next 14 days :cheer2:

Oh come on people! The Polynesian doesn't even have that many rooms, we want to see some KTTW cards now!

OHHHH I had this happen to us on our June trip.
NOW I am witchy about my pool lounge chairs but I SWEAR I am a nice great happy person at Disney!!!

It was ONE FREAKIN AM in the morning. My DD8 and I were on our all girl trip. We had a resort sleep in morning the next day so I decided to spoil her with a late night swim before bed ... well we were in the pool and there was this boy who was all of 9 years old doing sumersaults off of the side of the pool!!!!!!!!! He almost cracked his head open 3 or 4 times until I marched up to him and demanded where his parents were .. they had dropped him off at the pool (he was staying CBR) and went out to dinner and to walk around DTD for the evening :scared1: the kid was only NINE FREAKIN YEARS OLD and was all alone ... there are no lifeguards at 1am!! He came soooo close to smacking his head on the side of the pool I about had a heart attack ... so yup this mama went over and found a manager and told them. They escorted the little guy to the office area and I don't know what happened after that but at least they didn't have blood covered pool when the parents got back from their fun!

Capt. Barbosa: I do not want to know the PH of that pool! Gross!

errrr ... member to view the dead beat pool hoppers or are you going to be the first dead beat pool hopper I post?! :lmao::lmao::lmao:
Let me put it this way. If I ever would even Mention the idea of pool hopping my husband himself would beat me to death.:lmao:

:lmao::lmao::lmao: no kidding!

Does anyone remember the movie Caddy Shack?! That soooo runs through my head when seeing this photo :rotfl2:
I would soooo throw a candy bar in there just to see the stampede :rotfl:

It drives my DH nutso too. He brings up a REALLY good safety issue about pool hoppers. He is a Red Cross certified lifeguard~ he actually teaches the course at Boy Scout camp. Both of my older boys are strong swimmers ...life saving merit badges and 1 mile swim under their belts... my DD8? not sooo much :lmao:

But back to his point ... if there are dead beat pool hoppers at our pool ... that takes up the focus and attention of the life guards! Granted my kids don't go down to the pool unless I or DH are with them BUT lifeguards are to be counted on as an extra set of eyes while swimming. If they are too busy watching some dead beat parents' kids then WHAT WE ARE PAYING FOR ... them watching OUR KIDS is being taken away.
So its not a matter of just pool chairs being taken but also the safety and security of the pool itself!

That above photo is a good example. How could a life guard possibly watch everyone and ensure everyones safety when its that packed?!

So pool hoppers ... again I will state... stay at your own pool people :rotfl: we guest WILL FIND YOU... we will report you... so stay off our lounge chairs :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Sorry but NO good reason can be given to me to justify pool hopping. You have a resort .. you have a pool ... USE IT!
If you don't like your resort pool then change resorts ... don't change pools LOL

Last year at the BC we were asked for ID, I saw the life guard asking loads of other people as well, I'm not surprised as it was so busy and just about impossible to get a sun lounger.

I wonder what the Florida laws for child abandonment or child endangerment are.

There is not a certain age...if it was 1 am then yes they can say something to them but they do not really go off age.but wdw can enforce their own rules for underage kids and the pool.

I'm pretty sure here in Virginia you would go to prison for leaving your 9 year old at the pool while you went out drinking! YIKES!!!

Anyhoo thanks all, question answered. It's obvious they don't just target drunk retards & wayward teenagers. For the most part there is a system.

Anyway I'm over here at Crappy Flea Bag Inn and need to get over to the Poly pool cause I want to sit on the beach, drink Margharittas, snag 15 towels and chairs that I'll never use and crank "I'm on a Boat" on my boom box :rotfl:

I have only read (skimed) the first couple of the pages of this thread. Sorry if I missed something.

What about DVC members? I thought as a DVC member you were allowed to pool hop, isn’t it considered a “perk”. I am a DVC member and our first trip home will be in August. So no I have never pool hopped before. I can see why people wouldn’t like to pool hop because the idea of relaxing at the pool and then going to your room and getting ready for the rest of your day/night doesn’t seem to relaxing, and on the other hand I can see why pool hopping might be fun cause if you’re a regular going to the world and relaxing by the pool it can give you an idea of were you want to stay.

I defiantly DON’T condone people NOT staying on property going to any of the pools, NO WAY!!! That is just not right, its wrong in so many ways.

What happens as a DVC member, and your considered to be HOME, and you invite a guest to join you for the day, IS that allowed?

Yes DVC members can. No they can not Pool Hop to SAB and AKL and some black out rescrictions at all others at certain times.

A previous thread now buried further down discussed "inviting" someone to which many various answers and heated debate ensued.

I am sure flea bag inn has a flea bag pool ~ at least in Florida :flower3: Pour a wine cooler into a fancy glass and close your eyes.

I get your a DVC owner and I don't consider that a dead beat pool hopper. As stated, you guys can use the poly pool on certain dates. But the people who are NOT DVC owners and do pool hop ...SHAME ON YOU!
If the pool is really that big of deal ... pay to stay at the resort your wanting to swim at!

Would you go to a fancy restaurant and swipe the food off of someone elses plate while walking by so you don't have to order from the menu?! :scared:

What is the big attraction to pool hopping? Water is water ... a pool chair is a pool chair... why not stay closer to their own resort room rather than hiking clear across property to swim in a different pool? Does the poly or SAB use a different type water?! LOL
If its the environment you like better ... err... you could get that walking around the resort, taking in a meal or two at that resort LEGALLY.
Why is there this great desire to swim in someone elses pool?!

I wonder what the Florida laws for child abandonment or child endangerment are.

I was never asked or interviewed afterwards so I have no idea what happened after the manager walked the little boy off. For all I know the kid now stands in *Its a small world* :rotfl:

I do hope the parents were charged with everything and anything Disney could charge them with. You know if... God Forbid... something would have happened to that little boy those parents would have been suing Disney for YEARS.

Nope. But I *would* take the monorail from MK to the Contemporary to hit CM with a Glad disposable container and fill it up to eat later. Even if I hadn't paid to eat there.:confused3 I don't see what the big deal is. They are making all that food available and obviously no one can eat that much. How am I taking anything away from paying customers? You get to eat, I get to eat, and the chefs just keep making more. Plus, if that was really against the rules, there would be signs that say "You must pay to eat here." I mean really. Is it hurting you or do you just not want me and my riff-raff kids at your fancy-schmancy buffet?:rotfl:
