This DVC member is fine if they stop it, we never use the perk. I don't like the hassle and I swim where I stay. If a pool appeals to me that much I book a room there, it is only fair.

Just want to note when we pool hop we use the pool not the chairs what is the point of going somewhere to sit on an uncomfortable chair.

The kids swim, I sit in the chair with a drink in an umbrella in it. If the proportion of adults sitting around the pool compared to the adults in the pool is any indication - plenty of people do sit in those uncomfortable chairs. A couple rum drinks and the chairs are really comfy.

Whick kinda proves the point that Pool Hopping is pointless...my kids will have water at any pool and I can get rum at any pool bar.

We've done it once - its really more of a pain in the neck than its worth. I expect it will go away - DVC has gotten too big, there are too many members and too few pools worth hopping to. The pools that are attractive hop locations are easily overcrowded (BW, Poly). If it does go away, many of the members who never used it will scream - its a privilege a lot of members see as being special. Some members who used it will definitely feel a loss. Others won't care.

As someone who stays at a hoppable pool (BW) - I wish it were done with. I don't like not getting a pool chair because of people not staying at the BW any more than anyone else does - but the BW pool is the one that gets used by members (and by crashing non-members) for a mid day break because its convinence to DHS and Epcot.

I think they should get rid of pool hopping. I have a DVC membership at BWV and I agree about overcrowding. If I can't use all DVC pools then others should not be allowed to BWV if they are not staying there. They should gate the pools and require a room card to enter. I would not hesitate to report anyone I saw using the pool that was not staying at my hotel.

I don't really see what the big deal is if your "allowed" to pool hop. If there are people that pool hop and there not allowed its one thing, but if there staying on DVC points its a perk, its a choice. I have been to WDW at the busiest time of the year and there always have been chairs I have never came across there not being no chairs.

what about people that go and check out the other resorts, and then they decide to sit n the lobby and it happens to be the last seat in the lobby, and there not even spending the night there. ..............there is no difference.

I know these boards are for discusions, but it seems like its just another reason to complain
