I went to health services twice and got misdiagnosed and then went to the ER and they diagnosed it as an ovarian cyst...umm ok good to know but the pain ISNT DOWN THERE!!!Originally posted by nkjzmom
Mine started out feeling like heartburn but then quickly progressed to a terrible pain in my chest. Like Alice mentioned it felt like I was short of breath and at the time I wondered if I was having a heart attack. The pain just radiated all through my chest around my side. After a while it would fade away.
I was in the ER TWICE before anyone got wise enough to check my gallbladder. They kept telling me it was just heartburn and I was fine.I was pregnant with my 3rd child and had the gallbladder removed 2 weeks after she was born.

I just hope I dont get an attack while on the plane because sitting down is unbearable...I need to get up and walk around.
HAHAH well the last time I flew home I was throwing up the entire time because of antibiotics I was given for a UTI lol.Originally posted by nkjzmom
I found it more comfortable walking around also. This will probably sound weird but sometimes it helped to lean over a chair or the couch.
I can see you now...making your 4th trip to the bathroom and the flight attendants jump you because they think you're up to something!Good luck!!!

I am actually going through this right now. They said there are a lot of symptoms..the ones I experience are attacks of pain across my abdominal area and it feels like it is tightening in on me, I have trouble breathing and walking is the only position i can stand to be in during it. They last anywhere from 5 minutes to 30 minutes. I also get naseuous, vomit, lightheadedness. I was just taken toi the hospital for this on Monday.
And these are not gallstones.
I actually have no idea what is going to happen.Originally posted by piglet too
I am sorry to hear that you are still having problems Norah! But at least you will be home soon and it will get taken care of. Best of luck on your flight and with the doctors back home as well. Are you having it removed, or is that still undecided?
