Frustrated with Disney Website

Hi - anyone know of any workarounds that don't involve calling a rep at the moment. I like to play around with dates so I can see what the prices are like so I don't want to call because I am just trying to spec out a trip for October to see if we can swing it. I have been trying to get prices on resorts/packages since Saturday and every time I try, I get the 'sorry we had to duck out' error message. This is really frustrating.

We started having to use Chrome as well. The website does NOT play nice with Internet Explorer or Edge. No issues with Chrome

I use Chrome, but recently I have been having to clear my browsing data every time I want to check again. So if I check for availability, then 2 hrs later want to check again it won't let me until I clear the data and then it works ok. So irritating, and takes longer when i just want a quick check to see if anything happened to have opened up! Sometimes going incognito does work, but not always for me, but so far this has been working. I've always hd trouble, but it's new in the past couple of days that it's every time! I wish they could get their web and app act together.

I have been having the same problem for at least two i wrote to Disney and the only suggestion they had was to call. We live in Canada and long distance rates are atrocious. Plus, sometimes I just want to check between appointments and don’t have time to get on the phone for an hour.

I ran into this. I had to log out then log back in. Clearing your cache also works too. Disney's website is very flaky.

Today I'm getting error after error in Chrome, had to switch to Explorer, no issues there so far...

I am working on my iPad and now, even clearing my browser history/ cache doesn’t work.

Also, using Explorer isn’t working.

Go into internet options and have the history and other things cleared each exit of the browser.

And so here is the fundamental problem.
One day, so called "Website" works with Chrome. Next day? Only works with IE or Firefox. Day after that? Everyone screams "purge all cookies".
I'm waiting for "rebuild your computer". For fun? IT guys... do a "view source" on that abomination :). Yup, "CSS gone Wild". Literally un-maintainable.

Folks, the reason this occurs is very basic: WDW HAS NO WEBSITE. It's a continuing experiment, with no change control, no pre-planned and announced "down times" - NO proper IT Management. Let me ask a basic question.... does AMAZON.COM do this to you? THAT would be a real BUSINESS Website.

One day, WDW will have a REAL Business Website - with real IT Management. Designed to make MONEY. TODAY is not that day.

In the meantime? There is one thing that always works.... and sadly, costs WDW a LOAD of cash:

All personal opinion - I'm not necessarily right, no one else is necessarily wrong.

I wouldn't say your comments are exactly fair. I'm a software engineer and viewing the source pretty much means nothing. When the page is served pretty much all sites when you view the source are going to look complicated, especially to those who do not know what they're looking at. Several aspects of the Disney's websites drive me nuts at times, but really it depends on what their priorities are and where they put the man power. Also amazon does go down on occasion too. A recent example is prime day.

If you're logged into your account, try logging out and logging back in. That fixed one of my issues with a problem I was running into.

I usually have luck with Firefox. which is a good thing because it's the only browser I have.

The cache problems are why going incognito works most of the time. It browses free of cookies
All browsers offer a similar method.

I can only get the site to work if I log out and log back in before doing any searches. If I go to the website and just start searching, like I would on Amazon or any other normal website, it gives me nothing but error messages. If I log out and log in again, it's fine.

While I am no software engineer, I will say that I think it is fair to say that Disney's site - where hotel reservations are concerned - is horrific. For me, it has not worked in over two months. not on my computer, different computers at work, friends' computers, airport computers... Not with Explorer, Safari, Google/Google Chrome, or Firefox. I have tried not logging into my account, clearing my cache ad nauseum, using incognito mode - you name it. Nothing has worked.

I have tried every browser, many different computers, incognito mode, clearing my cache - literally nothing works now. Sadly, I don't have time to call in to talk with cast members, with the result that we had planned two trips down before the end of the year and I don't think either will happen now.

It is a terrible website and I don't think there's any excuse for issues to occur daily, hourly, and every time you visit. In 2018 you shouldn't have to jump through hoops (different browser!, clear cache!, log in/out!, etc) to find what you need. Anyone who uses Expedia and Priceline knows that other travel sites operate just fine. They get far more usage than WDW's site, and from the second we open the page we've never encountered a problem searching various dates and locations, and it all happens very quickly. The WDW site is garbage.

I have tried it all now - different browsers, cache clear, etc. My laptop, my phone, my desktop. Nothing is working. Very frustrating!

I have to agree 100%! With the money WDW has, this shouldn't be an ongoing issue. I can see it happening here and there but everyday for consecutive days. NOT COOL.
