I just checked my itinerary for my Alaskan cruise in June. It says the Frozen Deck Party is from 10:15-11:00 p.m. Isn't this an event for younger kids? Why so late? And the next morning is a very early morning arrival in Juneau.

If its anything like last year, they do Frozen activities all day, including maypole dancing in the atrium. The Frozen Deck Party replaces the Pirate Party so it is after the dinner rotations. It is not just for kids any more than the Pirate party is.

I'm confused. We're going to Alaska on 6/6 and we were told it was a pirate party, then there was a frozen party on our schedule, then it disappeared. So which is it? Frozen or Pirate? I'm don't want to waste my time making pirate costumes. Also can the do fireworks in Alaska? Iv'e seen videos of fireworks, but my mother said they can't do that in Alaska. I'm confused about a lot of things. It's not like Disney world were you can pre-book everything.

There haven't been pirate parties for years on the Alaskan cruises. DCL cannot do fireworks in Alaska. Frozen parties started last year. You will experience the Frozen party. No need for pirate costumes.

Thank you. I wish that had been made clear on the website and the information we received before we made pirate Mickey shirts for our group of 30. I am disappointed that DCL can't be more up to date with their information.

You should get the pirate party but by law Disney cannot do fireworks in Alaska.

I thought I saw that months ago that there was no pirate party but just the frozen party.

Alaska/ Northern Europe , no pirates night, - too light fire fireworks and no permits. Frozen night last year for us was 7.30 pm, ours is listed as 10.15 pm as well.

So why do they advertise the pirate party on the website? This makes no sense.

Because they are advertising the Wonder in general. 8 months out of the year, the Wonder is sailing the Caribbean. They also mention the Frozen Party and specify it is available on select sailings.

would love to hear more about the Frozen activities throughout the day. Wish someone actually would post an updated Navigator from an Alaska cruise - so that we could better understand. That day we are in skagway - so i'm not sure how many activities we can do before the party...which is late for little kids.

Well, as soon as the Alaska cruises start, I'm sure somebody will come back and be able to post one.

on our norway cruise last summer, they gave out these light up snowflakes you'd wear around your neck. Just be sure to turn them off and not let your kid sleep with them on -- I remember someone posted a picture of it leaving a "mark" (burn???) on their kid's chest!
