I posted 2 weeks ago during a quick trip that my French husband was chatting with a CM at French Bakery in Epcot and was told they will be closing to remodel. I said I would check again on this rumor when we returned. Well here we are 2 weeks later and asked tonight, it is a yes. If things go according to schedule they will close in mid March for the remodel !! I know this is a rumor but, I do believe it to be true.:goodvibes

wow, I would hope they would make it bigger than the assembly line type set up they have now
I also hope they will be done this remodel by July or I will cancel my trip :rotfl:

Agreed, they better be done by next summer or I'll have to switch my trip to the REAL Paris to get my chocolate croissant fix! That's the only place in the world that touches a true France croissant!

I just hope mid-March means MID March, because we're going to be there the first weekend of March and I'd hate for it to be closed. On the other hand, if the French bakery is closed I might finally get around to trying the schoolbread from Norway...

NOOOOO I'm going in mid-March and I need my croissants and all those fattening sweets. Gah!!! I'll have to make do with Norway's bakery then. :( I'll take lots of pics of the remodeling while I'm there for you all though. Let's pray that they find a way to get people in and out faster.

Just want to mention that there are some yummy pastry desserts at the back of Tangierine. :thumbsup2

Interesting. Right now there is VERY limited seating. I hope they enlarge the seating area as part of the remodel. As I often travel solo, I usually end up balancing my tray full of yummy pastries while looking for a place to sit.

I'm very happy the closure will not take place when we are there next month.

It's MUCH needed. The flow doesn't really, well, flow.

Sorry mid-March travelers! I am very selfishly happy that they will not be closed when we arrive in 19 days. Being gluten free, my dessert options are limited - and I would absolutely cry if my creme brulee option was taken away from me!!
