My sister's cabin had the toilet overflow, twice for no reason in the middle of the night. The first time, they took care of it and cleaned the restroom and left. The 2nd time (next night, about 3 a.m.) the water was actually splashing over the lip in the entry to the bathroom and had soaked the carpet in the entryway. They sent someone from maintenance ( his overalls weren't even snapped shut, lol) They took apart the wall outside of her cabin and found a pipe that had burst. They fixed it, cleaned up and apologized. By this time, both of her girls were moved to our room to sleep.
The next morning, a cast member showed up to escort her to her new room, a veranda on deck 5 (she was in an inside room on deck 2!) The cast member opened the door and motioned her arm like she was showing the next prize on the price is right, haha. On the bed were stuffed animals, fancy rice crispy treats, chocolates, 2 Disney Barbies, a tote bag and some other stuff. They really went overboard with the apology but it was a nice surprise for her and her daughters and it made me feel better because we had talked her into taking this "magical, once in a lifetime" vacation and then this happened. She has since completed her 3rd cruise and is planning her next.
