Free Dining Watch 2009 - Dates Released!! Update post 1

oh...only the original poster can do polls? i didn't see that......(i get more and more computer illiterate every day!!):rotfl2:

The code for Disney Visa holders was up on Mousesavers.com by 7:15 on last Thurs, so I would expect it to be up on there first thing tomorrow.
Two years ago, that's where I found it first, and then came over here to post it.
Man am I relieved that they let me do all four of my rooms last Thurs.
I don't have to be up so early tomorrow! :thumbsup2

Happy booking everyone! :wizard:

Wait, we don't need a code?? Not that I don't trust you LorilieMarie, but are you absolutely positive that we don't need a code??? That would make my morning go so much easier if I don't have to be checking on here for a code before I head to work!!

I had the free dining plan in 2005,2006 and 2007. I booked online - just clicked on the free dining offer. This time for 2009, It was more complicated because we needed 5 rooms. I have DV, called Thursday and just said "I would like the free dining plan" No code. :)

Anyone see that on the front page of the Disney website, it switched from "Last Chance: One Day Left" to "Last Chance: Four Days left"?

But the "book through" date is still the 29th.

....Why do they tease us!?!?

That's because you were booking with the Disney Visa. For the people calling in the morning for the general public offer that do not have a Disney Visa, they will need a FD code to get the free dining discount on their package.

Here's a question...

Once we call 1-407-934- 7639 how do we cut through all the nonsense before getting a CM on the phone?

Ive been practicing tonight. lol

any tips?

DS turns 3 on Sept 20 and we are planning to go Sept 16-30. I was told by a castmember at the disney store he doesn't need a ticket if he turns 3 during the trip. Is that true?

And if so, should I buy him a ticket anyway so he can get the free dining, too?

Do you have to buy length of stay tickets? Or a one day ticket or what are the actual rules??

I realize this promotion hasnt been released yet on the website, so thats why I cant find the rules and restrictions on it, but it seems like some of you folks know more than the actual CMs, so I figured I might as well try... lol

Thanks :)

I was told by a CM that they are considered the age they are at check-in, so you will be fine.

You only need a one day ticket to qualify, but everyone has to be on the same plan for FD, so I'd just buy his food if it was me.......

I'm wondering if I purchase a one day ticket for everyone, then we would each get the free dining (DS included)... then I could just upgrade myself, hubby, and 2 DDs tix when we get there to a ten day. Can I do that? Since DS doesnt really need a ticket since he will be three after we check in? I'd rather spend under $100 for a one day ticket for him as opposed to $300 in food for two weeks for him.. if I can do that?

So does anyone know the code for tomorrow morning???? Are we using the same RYI or is it different?? I cant WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :woohoo::yay:

hey - not new to DIS - but definitely new to posting! :goodvibes: just a few questions about all of this free dining -

I reserved today for 8 nights with the 4 nights for 7 deal for Aug. 9-17 and I'm staying at All-Star Sports. :cool1:

1. So can I just book the free dining online for Aug. 16-23 as soon as 7 am eastern time rolls around and then cancel my original reservation?

2. How difficult is it going to be to switch over to POP?

Answers would be greatly appreciated :worship:

Oops, wait I typed a response then thought about it again. If he is two when you book the room he will not get free dining.

I want it to be 7 a.m. now!!!! I've been waiting since Thursday and now that it's almost here, I'm going crazy!!!

I wrote earlier and no one gave me an opinion, if anyone is reading now..can you please help? I'm booked 9/14-18 through AAA TA, she will not be in until 8:30 a.m EST, should I call Disney direct and make my own ressie at 7 a.m and forego the $200 savings I was getting through AAA...will I even qualify for that anymore if I get FD through AAA? Just not sure how that works..what would you guys do?:confused3

Good luck tomorrow!!!!:goodvibes
