Free Dining Watch 2009 - Dates Released!! Update post 1

Historically, free dining takes off any other promotion codes. I'd personally book a trip at 7am but I am paranoid and I'd be afraid to loose my room.

That is if you can cancel the AAA room without penalty.

I want it to be 7 a.m. now!!!! I've been waiting since Thursday and now that it's almost here, I'm going crazy!!!

I wrote earlier and no one gave me an opinion, if anyone is reading now..can you please help? I'm booked 9/14-18 through AAA TA, she will not be in until 8:30 a.m EST, should I call Disney direct and make my own ressie at 7 a.m and forego the $200 savings I was getting through AAA...will I even qualify for that anymore if I get FD through AAA? Just not sure how that works..what would you guys do?:confused3

Good luck tomorrow!!!!:goodvibes

Thanks, Kim, I think I'm going to do that...do you think it's worth booking a trip tonight with Disney and then changing to FD tomorrow a.m. ?? Thanks again!!:goodvibes

So do I have this correct? Those of us booking tomorrow with no Disney Visa have to have the code or no free dining? And mousesavers will be the first to post it online?

I am getting nervous (I know, I am a dork). I am worried my children will see me online waiting for the code. I plan to run down to the laundry room and hide with my planner when the CM picks up the phone...LOL.

Where are you staying? If you aren't staying at POP, I would just let your TA take care of it. It's only an hour and a half, and you'll probably be on hold that long anyway. I think the TAs have a special number. And you will no longer qualify for the 200$, as PP said.

I don't see that...hmmm...

Is it just me? It's the 3rd little block of deals.

So does anyone know the code for tomorrow morning???? Are we using the same RYI or is it different?? I cant WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :woohoo::yay:

It's a different code, most likely. It has been in the past.

I am staying at Pop! Thinking of booking tonight through Disney and then calling in the a.m to add FD...think that's a good idea??

It's not worth booking tonight, because they're going to change your room tomorrow anyway. Just be up early with the rest of us if you want to book it yourself (if you're staying at POP, WL, or ASMo that is the best choice, I think).

Correct. I mean, it depends on the CM, but it's good to have the code on hand just in case. And Mousesavers or here or Allears.net will be the first ones, most likely. :thumbsup2 Good luck!

How come you can't just book online? Forgive me if this is a dumb question, this is my first experience with this whole thing and my first time on this board. Thanks!

You can. However, the online booking has been notorious for going slow, stopping, getting overloaded, etc. Also, they don't put the link to book online up until later in the day. So for us crazies :rolleyes1 (yes, I am included in that) who want to be sure that we're feeding our family for free, we get up early to be on the phones at 6:58am.

I kept waking up this morning, going "OH MY GOD IT'S PAST 7!!! :scared1: I MISSED CALLING IN!!!!!" and then realizing it was Sunday... and going back to sleep.

Thanks, I'm up early anyways, thanks to 3 little boys and a treadmill work out...I'l be on the phones as early as I can! Thanks...and good luck!!!:goodvibes

Good luck to all of you! I was right there last week when the Disney Visa portion opened up. Now I'm already freaking about the ADR mess I've been reading about all evening. Can I assume you'll all be with me tomorrow counting down the days to the new INSANE 90 day window?????

BEST OF LUCK!

Does it really book up that quick? I mean I know it's important that you get the place you want and so on, but if I do it tomorrow night am I going to be out of luck?

Off topic I know, but has anyone on here ever made a very specific request regarding room location... I'm just wondering what the chances are of getting what we request if we request a room at WL that is woods view on the 5th or 6th floor, northside (to face the MK and hopefully get a glimpse of the fireworks). Thanks!

You all need to relax... I just got off the phone, and it was easy, breezy to get booked at POP. I know if it was easy with POP, you all will have no problem! The phones have been really busy. If you have trouble, just take a deep breath and try again 5-10 minutes later. Here's a second phone number for you just in case the main number is giving you the "all lines are busy, please call back" shpiel. I had to do this... I had tried 5 times to call the main number and kept getting the all lines are busy message. I dialed the number below, and I got right through... had the NICEST CM!

:woohoo: Booked at POP for 11 days of FD!! This will be our 5th year to be there during FD and our fourth to actually have the FD (we didn't know about it in 2005... kept wondering why everyone at our TS meals were ordering appetizers, desserts, drinks, and the most expensive menu items. :confused3) After finding the DIS  and reading up on posts :surfweb: , I found out all those people were eating FREE! while we were paying Disney prices for a family of 5 plus 2 grandparents. :rolleyes1 Well, the next year we were ready... and haven't looked back since then. We love FD!!! :disrocks:

:upsidedow On a sad note, :sad2: my 17 y-o will be in his first year of college, and this will be our first trip without him. :faint: I don't know if my mother's heart can take it.

No. They will be selling Free Dining Sale rooms through June. Make sure you have a 2nd. and 3rd. choice of room view/resort, and you should be fine.
