Free Dining Watch 2009 - Dates Released!! Update post 1

I am planing to go from 29th aug to 17th sep (19 nights) will I have to make 2 seperate bookings one for 14 nights then another for the 5 nights??
The free dining deal is only good for a 10 night stay, so you would have to make two reservations: One for 10 nights, one for 9.

On another note, I got my confirmation email which includes free dining but next to Quick Service, Table Service and Snacks it says 1 per person. Our check in date IS 10/3 but the price doesn't indicate that I'm paying for any portion of the dining plan... is this just how the email reflects the DDP or are we really only getting one of each (for 10/3?) Does anyone else's confirmation email say this as well?

Ummmm, free dining reservations can be up to 14 nights not 10. I have free dining for 14 nights and there are several others on this thread who also have a 14 night ressie. So if you need a ressie for 19 nights the first ressie would be for 14 nights and the second for 5 nights.

I stand corrected! I was so sure I had read it was 10 nights. Sorry!

Not a problem, we're here to help each other. BTW, the packages did used to be for 10 nights, I might be wrong but I think Disney changed it to 14 nights last year.

HTH!:goodvibes

Thanks!

Does anyone else's confirmation state 1 per person by the QS, TS & snacks portion of the confirmation?

I read another post where someone asked the same thing and yes everyone else's ressie says the same thing. You are good to go.:thumbsup2

Don't feel bad you weren't totally confused. If you book for your vacation to start on one of the last days of the promotion (10/1-10/3 for instance) then you can get the FD for up to a 10 day stay. That's where the 10 days comes in.

Yea.. My moms says the same thing and they are booked Aug 29th-Sept 5th .. So nothing to worry about!:)

So, for those of us who don't have DV tomorrow seems to be the big day...everyone planning to get up early in the am ? What resort is everyone hoping to get?

My choices are:

ASmo
Pop
ASsp
ASmu

Good luck everyone and get your rest tonight!!

I am not getting up early but I figure if I call as soon as I drop my husband off for work, I have nothing happening for at least 2½ hours and that should be plenty of time to sit on hold. (Plus I'm hoping if I call a couple hours after 7 am EST, the wait times won't be as long.)

We're happy with any of the moderates, and we have two different weeks in mind, so I'm hoping that's enough flexibility that calling a few hours late won't matter. Plan is to first tray both POFQ and POR for our preferred week, then the same two a week later, then go back and try CBR and CSR for the preferred week and then a week later. (I like CSR fine, but living in New Mexico, I'd rather go somewhere that *doesn't* look like home!)

(Fortunately, whichever sets of dates we get, my 90-day window will open on a Sunday, and yes I will get up early for that.)

I will be up by 6:45 to hit the phones (cell and land line) by 6:59! We already have a reservation from 9/13-9/19 at Pop so hopefully I will just be able to add free dining without much of a problem. We are will however to change to ASSPorts or ASMovies is needed.

Good luck to everyone!

You don't need a code . . . just tell them you want the free dining package. If you are booking online, there should just be the package to click on.

Wait, we don't need a code?? Not that I don't trust you LorilieMarie, but are you absolutely positive that we don't need a code??? That would make my morning go so much easier if I don't have to be checking on here for a code before I head to work!!

You may book up to 14 nights in one package, however, you can only get up to a 10 day ticket, perhaps that is part of the confusion. We are booked for 13 nights of free dining at POR with 10 day base tickets.

For stays longer than 14 nights, you'll need to book two separate packages.

If I really wanted POP, and had to wait for Monday when the offer opens up to the general public, I would probably try to make that call first thing in the morning. If you have a little leeway as far as resort / room type, then certainly it will be no problem calling later in the day, or even days / weeks later.

The confirmations always list the table service, counter service, and snack credits as being 1 per. That is how ours appeared last year, and we paid for the DDP, so don't worry about that. You will get food for every night of your stay.

As for having the code, it's like this: I didn't need one when I booked, and many others have said that they booked without one as well, but if the CM you get on the phone says you need the code, and you don't have it, well then you are out of luck. On the other hand, if you get the code, and the CM doesn't ask for it, you can still book with no problems. I personally would get the code just in case.

Yep! I'm getting up early to make my ressie. I am booked at POP right now, so I am hoping to add FD, but if I have to change I will change to ASMu then anything after that.

Can't wait....and also can't believe I've made it since Thursday when everyone else got to book. :yay:

I went the TA route so she will be calling for me tomorrow to add the FD to my POP reservation. Did tell her to chang it to ALL Star Music if she had to go with a different resort. Also adding the hopper option since Im saving money elsewhere. WOOOOHOOOOOOO cant wait.:cheer2::grouphug:

I'm booked at Pop for December but am planning to change to ASMu
September 19th-26th. :cool1:

Can the original poster add a poll to this thread, so we can vote on the week we are going to be there?? I thought last year there was a poll like that.

LOL, me and you both! I finally convinced DH on a trip, woohoo!! Of course he had no clue I was booking on Monday anyway, with or without him :rotfl: Got to get the kids off to school, but I have a window between 7-7:45 between kids, so I'll try then, if not I'll have to wait for DD to get on the bus. I'm hoping for POR, then 2 rooms at POP, then 2 rooms at any value
