As long as you cancel at least 45 days out, you get a full refund, unless you bought trip insurance. Trip insurance is nonrefundable. I sure hope everyone double booking knows that!

Thanks. Thinking of double booking then transferring to my TA if I can, to guarantee I get a discount. I gave my TA the OK to call back later after she was on hold for far too long. My choice. Though perhaps not the best one. lol

Nothing...she probably hasn't even looked at mine yet...

You should seriously jump ship with this TA, have a new one do a 7 day hold. Get the money refunded to your card. Pay this trip off once it's refunded. I feel for you. This is ridic!

I got online just a few minutes shy of 6(central) this morning and was able to book Nov9-11 RO at Pop and then Nov11-16 FD at Pop- also called right at 6 and held about 35 minutes to cancel AsMo preferred that we had prev booked. Had everything taken care around 6:50 my time. Upgraded our dining and only had to pay $4.xx extra....I am one happy camper!!

Good luck to everyone still waiting!!

BTW, when I called I got the "technical difficulties" message that then went to music so I hung on!! My SIL had the same thing and after talking to TA for a bit was told to call back....she booked online (same timeframe as me).

I went back to bed this morning and now there are 30 new pages! Is everyone getting what they wanted?

First off- HUGE thanks to Joe and Dave for your persistance, and for providing such great info. :lovestruc

On a whim, decided to check online at 6:30 am (Eastern) while the kiddos were having breakfast. Like many others, was able to book a new reservation online in a few minutes, with FD!!!!!! :cheer2: Saved our family of 4 almost $1200!! Got the resort and dates we wanted. I too will be cancelling my original reservation, most likely this evening, once the madness dies down.

To all those still waiting- don't give up! I think there are MANY like me who will be cancelling in the next day or so, and Disney may adjust what is available.

After all, if the amount of rooms people booked with FD is close to the amount of rooms that get cancelled, their overall bookings won't have increased by much.

Good luck to everyone!

Just curious - why "ASAP?" I have an existing ressie, then booked a separate one online before phone lines opened.

Obviously, I will cancel the original one -- but will a few hours (or even days) matter so I don't have to keep listening to the busy signals?

Same situation for me -- I need to cancel a RO booking since I got my FD res online last night.... I did try to call to cancel the extra room, but was told to try later-phones lines are busy! OP is thinking if the extra rooms are cancelled it will open more for new FD bookings. Maybe.....maybe not!

Yep my DH is ecstatic. NONE of my choices were available and I had 4 plans. We are booked into a Lake view tower room at Contemporary. Our total is only $460 more than it was at AoA in Nemo paying for the DP. With the family of 5 I think that's not to bad. He wanted the Monorail because he hates buses. He said once I get there I won't care that we spent more than I wanted to. But little does he know I really wanted that as well. But I get points because he thinks I let him win this one.

I like the way you think!! :rotfl2:

ugh...My dates are not very flexible.. I am praying there will be something for us. It's frustrating not hearing anything.

That is SO awesome totally worth it for the upgrade IMHO. Have a wonderful trip! :cheer2:

OK, if there is anything worse than cheesy hold music, it's *static-filled* cheesy hold music.

Well, I just gave up my coveted 1 bedroom BLT to switch to BWV 1 bedroom to and saved $1460.

Please tell me I did the right thing! It will be my dh and 2 girls 5 and 9 yrs old.

BLT had NO availability for either promotion!

I just want to point out to all of you who are recommending people fire their agent because they are not hearing from them, or never using that agent again, or whatever....

When you use a TA you are not their only client! Yes, I am sure you would like them to work on your account first, but that may not happen. And they are most likely running into the same problems that everyone else is - long waits on the phone and computer problems with Disney website.

I am not an agent, but have friends who are....they work hard for their money (don't we all!) and I am sure that 99percent of them are diligently trying to get exactly what you want for your perfect Disney vacation!

Please lighten up and give them a break!

Ok after 4 hours and 5 mins. I finally got my reservation at pop. I had to call in twice as the first time i waited 1 hr and 50 min only to get disconnected by cm. Then 1 hr and 30 min later the second cm got me all set! A lot of time but worth it:banana:

I just got through after holding for an hour and fifteen minutes and I was told that their system was undergoing enhancements and that nothing could be done and I needed to call back in an hour.

I had a friend call this morning and was told that free dining was not applicable to the BLT (she has a 1 bedroom lagoon view villa booked). She was also told that she could not use the room only discount code at the blt and add the dining plan.

I dont have time to read the 30 pages, can people tell me if anyone got the blt, and what discount they were able to apply?

Thanks
~A

The system has now crashed & I was told to call back in 4 hours. That's after a 55 minute hold.

It's totally worth it! You're going to be at Disney and eating for free! :dance3:

I just got the same message - called and got right through with no issue. Was told by a CM that their reservation system was going through some Magical Enhancements and should try my call again a little later. Told me they were not given an ETA but she estimated 2-3 hours. (I'll try again at 1pm!)

:furious:
