So so so mad and irritated! Emailed TA and got a response that the current wait time is over four hours and she'll be working on discounts over the next day or so?!?!?!?

Our trip is Thanksgiving week!!! I am shocked its offered at all that week but now the dread of wait continues.

I think royal rooms are still available if you are interested in those!

I don't see anything offered at POR at all.

Just curious - why "ASAP?" I have an existing ressie, then booked a separate one online before phone lines opened.

Obviously, I will cancel the original one -- but will a few hours (or even days) matter so I don't have to keep listening to the busy signals?

It is possible that rooms could be added into the offer, but that won't happen if a bunch of people are double booked.

OK, so next time I will book on my own or find out who used TA's that had emails out confirming their RD by 8am. I have not heard one word from mine after 4 hours. I could have/should have booked my 2nd choice this morning when I could My only hope is that she will be pulling some major Pixie Dust for us and I can forgive her OR I keep watching over the next week and get it done myself now. I'm in tears. And I am one of those "Family of 5" groups that seem to have almost NO options. Kind of feeling like Disney didn't want to offer FD to large families??

I heard from our TA around 7:15 and she got the free dining for us. not hearing all morning is unacceptable!

OK, since I couldn't get FD for my entire stay I'm going to have to link 2 reservations - in all the years I've gone to Disney I've never had to do that. So many questons!

Reservation #1 - Free Dining Package
Check In Oct 19 / Check Out Oct 24
5 Day PH Tickets - will use 3 days of the ticket under this reservation

Reservation #2 - non-discounted Room Only
Check In Oct 24 / Check Out Oct 26

Questions:

I assume I will need to go to the Front Desk and checkin/checkout on Oct 24?

How will the 5 Day PH Tickets be handled? I think I have 14 days from initial use to use all 5 days. Correct? Will Disney link the remaining 2 days to my Reservation #2 when I do checkin/checkout on Oct 24?

Since checkout for FD is Oct 24 do I have until 11:59pm on that day to use my dining credits?

How would the RFID refillable mug work? For my entire visit? And what are the logisitics for that??

Why 2 reservations? I'm going Oct.18-26 and have 1 reservation...with FD. You do not need 2 reservations! Your entire stay qualifies for FD

Yep my DH is ecstatic. NONE of my choices were available and I had 4 plans. We are booked into a Lake view tower room at Contemporary. Our total is only $460 more than it was at AoA in Nemo paying for the DP. With the family of 5 I think that's not to bad. He wanted the Monorail because he hates buses. He said once I get there I won't care that we spent more than I wanted to. But little does he know I really wanted that as well. But I get points because he thinks I let him win this one.

What is Disney's cancellation policy? If I book by myself online, will they refund the deposit if cancelled? Is there a fee? I couldn't tell on their site.

If it was not for this thread, I would be offsite. It is because of FD that I can stay onsite.

In reference to leaving a kiddo off of your reservation, I also considered this. My littlest one is 3, and still prefers to sleep in a crib. What I was told was that if you leave off members of your party, 1- it violates fire code, and 2 - they would not be able to ride the Disney Magical Express shuttle because they count the names and number of your reservation.

So, we booked 2 rooms at POP, and got the FD. I can't say how excited I am!!

I am sooo glad I saw it post on the website last night and booked then. I am crossing my fingers for all of you on hold and waiting for your reservations to come though!

As long as you cancel at least 45 days out, you get a full refund, unless you bought trip insurance. Trip insurance is nonrefundable. I sure hope everyone double booking knows that!

I got a room for 5 arriving 11/7. I wanted arriving 11/16 but had nothing. I don't think rooms for 5 were even available for certain weeks because I booked online in the wee hours of the morning.
