Free Dining is Back!!! August 13 - September 30

What a difference a few hours can make. I posted earlier this morning how happy I was for all who were going and getting the free dining as we had it last year and were not planning a return til August 2007.....but, since I have the best DH ever :rotfl2: , I called to tell him about the free dining and now we are going THIS August 22, staying 7 nights at Pop. :woohoo: :woohoo: I am so excited I can't hardly stand it. I booked everything today but left off the dining til tomorrow (not a Disney Visa holder) but even if I can't get the free dining tomorrow we STILL get to go anyway!!! I already made my sit down AR's and got everything I wanted and the times I wanted! Now I gotta fix my countdown! Great trips to all! :cloud9:

Better news.. If you are staying in the resorts all days you can get free Dinning for all your days even if for the days after the 30th. At least for the first ten days.

Thanks so much for the info!! We actually are already booked/paid for a Boardwalk Villa for the last 6 nights of our trip, so the Free dining won't work for those nights. We're excited to stay there during the F&W Festival & may even just pay OOP for the DDP for those nights - seems like it'd be nice to have the DDP for the entire trip (especially if we're only paying for 6 days worth!) :teeth:

I am so excited I just book w/ free dining. This offer is cheaper then if I were to cobine fl. res. rate, better then DDE.

The price for myself, DD5 and DD10 is $443.74. :thumbsup2
That only includes 1 day for each of us for 1 park. We have SP that expire on the week of our trip. It's perfect!!!!
Ihave to do the Happy Dance!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:    :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Thanks every one.

I was so excited when I got online this morning and saw free dining again! We are going to switch our Dec. trip to Sept. (14th-244th)so we can take advantage of free dining again. Of course with our family, we only have the option of staying at POR. Wish me luck!

Edited to add: Yahoo! We got it! Yay!!!!!!  :cool1: :cheer2: :woohoo: :bounce:

I got it! I just booked September 1 - 4 at Pop w/preferred view for 2 adults and 2 juniors for $581.52 with one day base tickets.
The castmember I got on the phone was the Best! In all my stays, I've never booked a package. She understood everything that I was trying to accomplish and helped me so much.
I listed my 9 year old as 10, so that he would get the adult menu. She confirmed that the one day base passes don't expire, and that we can apply that $268 towards 4 new Seasonal Passes in the whenever future. (We all have current Season Passes to use.)
So, basically we are staying for 3 nights and eating very well for $313.52! I wasn't going to book this offer, but my Dh actually got excited about it when I brought it up. The offer of free food at Le Cellier was apparently to much for him too pass up! :teeth: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I just have a few concerns, can anyone help clear them up?? We have ap's, can we really only buy a 1 day ticket each and get free dining for the whole stay? Should I book my room tonight just to hold it or will there be rooms available tomorrow?? I don't want to get my hopes up........

overplanner, Hi! Yes, you get the dining for each night of your package stay. You do not have to buy theme park admission for every night of your stay- only one. Just a one day base ticket per person (over 2 years old) is required for the MYW package. You don't have to use that ticket during your stay, either. You can save it for the future and use your AP for admission.
I would certainly think there will be packages available tomorrow, but book something now if it will help you sleep better. :)

I made reservations back in January for four adults and two kids for a September 23-30 stay at Pop Century resort. I have the dining plan on my reservation. I was wondering if I would be able to call and get the free dining plan that is being offered. If so what does that entail?? This stuff is all new to me. Would love to be able to save that xtra $$$. :thumbsup2

Thanks in advance!

Hi Speedemon21! Just call tomorrow and have them apply the discount code to your reservation.
If there are packages available for your room type, resort, and dates then it will be no problem. Pretty much the worst that will happen is if there are no packages available for your specifics, you may have to change one of the variables. You're outside of your 45 day penalty window, so you and the WDW operator can make whatever changes neccesary without any problems.
You're going to save a ton! :)

just wanted to say a quick thanks for the info. i should've booked w/ my disney visa but i didn't check the dis boards til after 9:00 tonight. at least i can try first thing in the morning.

Well, it's OFFICIAL!!! I let my DH know that I booked our vaca and hs has 'warmed up' to the idea of going to WDW again.....YIPPEE!!! Now I gotta start figuring out where to make my dinner ressies.....:moped:

Thank you so much dandave for your reply to my post. I just called to see if I could modify my existing reservation to include the FREE DINING. We had the dining plan anyway, but hey free is tastier isn't it? I am happy to say by changing the ressie, we saved $1300 for four adults and two kids. I am so psyched!! Now I really cannot wait to go!

Well after much fire under my aaa agent :furious: i finally have new ressies for august 13-19 at the wl woods view. Our old ressies was wl for about 3300 and now it is 2500. We are very excited about the change now i have to go back and make new adrs. My old aaa agent is on maternity leave and she was great but the lady i worked with today was not at all helpful. Now i am waiting on my new confirmation from the fax if not i will be up there to get it!!!!!! :yay:

Well I got up at 15 til 6 our time and continued dialing and got right thru only to hear, " This is Susan----" and lost connection. So it took 26 mins of holding to finally get thru. And we got French Qtr. :cheer2: :cheer2: I'm very excited.

Congrats Karen! I am waiting for an email from my TA. Actually I am thinking of calling and seeing if the change has been made, although I am confident it has, I dunno I guess I am nervous seeing as it is 2:30 and no word. I suppose she is very busy applying it for everyone eligible though so who knows. How long is standard for a TA to get back to you? This one actually knows what she is doing unlike my prior dealings with AAA where a lot of the times I knew stuff before they did. :rotfl2: Always nice to call to find out more info on something only to find out you're the one who alerted the office. Hello Caribbean Beach closing. LOL :rotfl:

Good luck to everyone waiting on their AAA agents! I'm sure you guys will be fine. I was on edge all morning waiting for mine to call me back and I even called her around 10:30.....she said she was on hold and not gotten through yet so they must have to wait in line like the rest of us. She called me back about 45 minutes after that and our ressie was all switched over to the free dining. No problems! :wizard: $1790 saved off our original AAA package. Not too shabby! :thumbsup2 :sunny:

Why do you have to make new ADR's ? Just wondering because all mine were made two weeks ago. I only had to give my name and phone number when I made my ADRs so I would think that they wouldn't change...right?...anyone know if that is correct?
