I just saw this thread this morning and ran right out to
AAA to book a trip for September. The total came to a couple hundred dollars more than what I had calculated-- can anyone tell me if this price I was quoted sounds accurate:
6 nights AKL savanna view
2 adults, 3 children (1 of them under 3 years)
6 day base tickets
Free dining plan
Total with AAA discount $2698
When I figured it out at home, this is what I got:
Resort $285/night, 6 nights: $1620.65 (savannah view, 15% AAA discount, includes 11.5% tax)
$215.13/adult, $174.66/child: $779.58 (6 day base tickets including tax)
Dining: free
Total $2400.23
Nearly a $300 difference. I double-checked and the quote is without insurance. What could the reason for such a big difference be? Thanks.
