Free Dining 2014 Discussion ~ Part 2

We have a party of 10. It's my understanding that the cardholder can reserve up to 3 rooms as long the other members of the party are linked with the cardholders account on MDE. Correct me if I am wrong about this, but this is why I spent last night creating an account for myself and another adult in our party and linked them to my DH's MDE account since he is the cardholder so hopefully we can book 3 mod rooms tomorrow. BTW if this is right then you will probably have to put $200 deposit down on all rooms

The person I spoke with at Chase said there would also be a RO. He said 30%.... Not sure what category.

We will be there the October 4th thru the 10th. we will be arriving late on the 3rd and had planned on staying off site and checking in on the 4th. would we be able to book for the 3rd and get free dining if we wont check in until 1-2 am? Would it be worth the extra night for F/D? Rack rate at a all star sports compared to $60-$70 off site for the Friday night, thanks for any help.

Alright guys so next year we hold out even more with booking!! Lol looks like a bunch of people are upset over a few of the excluded resorts, specifically noticing POR. We have to remember the more everyone books these resorts early they will end up excluded. Let's work together to keep these awesome offers coming and good luck tomorrow all

It really doesn't matter if you have a promo code for DV because you still have to make a payment with your card to get the offer...

Actually you dont. The pin code is all you need, and you dont have to put a deposit or anything on it.

That isn't correct. While some people get lucky and don't have to the DV offer requires a Deposit with your DV card, or verification of the numbers if you've already done that.

What Chase is giving out is just a package code... It's not even a pin code. With a typical pin code you wouldn't need a new deposit.

A friend of ours has a dilemma....
Her family of 4 is checking into WL on 10/4... they already have flights.
Is it possible to re-book starting on 10/3 to get the FD (or RO) and formally check-in a day late?
Can anyone help with some creative planning?

Maybe I was misinformed, my husband made the call and I did have to leave the room with my daughter will he was getting it set up. I will have to ask my husband when he gets home from work. Sorry.

I have to wonder if the CM's would even know this info this early if it weren't for us. I bet they had a few team meetings today to inform the CM's about tomorrow and how to handle these kind of phone calls. I bet a lot of CM's were asking their supervisors to many questions. Disney had to set the CM's straight.

No, when they don't show up on 10/3 their entire reservation will be cancelled as a no-show.

well I do understand people wanting to book a resort... for the 180 plus 10.... but instead of book pofq or por or aoa
book csr cbr and allstar not movie.... then they will have more deals for the others

wow guys, Ive been checking in all day trying to keep up. I am so sorry there has been some frustration! Disney is keeping us on our toes.

And with that said, IF there is a bounce back for free dining in your rooms this fall, BOOK IT EVEN IF YOUR UNSURE!!! That is, if you don't mind Disney holding on to $200 for a while. Last year Black kept us in the loop about bounce backs.... I had never heard of such! I booked it in November, even though I was pretty sure we wouldn't be able to use it. Now we can, and im so glad that I did. Save your selves some worry next year.
