well I do understand people wanting to book a resort... for the 180 plus 10.... but instead of book pofq or por or aoa book csr cbr and allstar not movie.... then they will have more deals for the others
not an option for families of 5 though :-/

oh... silly question...

when FD is released to general public, will there be a pin for online?

A friend of ours has a dilemma....
Her family of 4 is checking into WL on 10/4... they already have flights.
Is it possible to re-book starting on 10/3 to get the FD (or RO) and formally check-in a day late?
Can anyone help with some creative planning?

Are they flying with Southwest by chance? You can change those reservations without a fee, you just have to pay for however much extra the new flight would be (if any). It also may be worth it for one person to fly down on the 3rd and check in.

Shame on her for giving my name a bad rap! :rotfl2: wow guys, Ive been checking in all day trying to keep up. I am so sorry there has been some frustration! Disney is keeping us on our toes. And with that said, IF there is a bounce back for free dining in your rooms this fall, BOOK IT EVEN IF YOUR UNSURE!!! :) That is, if you don't mind Disney holding on to $200 for a while. Last year Black kept us in the loop about bounce backs.... I had never heard of such! I booked it in November, even though I was pretty sure we wouldn't be able to use it. Now we can, and im so glad that I did. Save your selves some worry next year.

I know I will DEFINITELY check for a Bounce Back when I am there!!! This is crazy!!

We will be there the October 4th thru the 10th. we will be arriving late on the 3rd and had planned on staying off site and checking in on the 4th. would we be able to book for the 3rd and get free dining if we wont check in until 1-2 am? Would it be worth the extra night for F/D? Rack rate at a all star sports compared to $60-$70 off site for the Friday night, thanks for any help.

Book FD for the 3rd and just check in late. We do this all the time since we like to drive at night. We also love in Ky and depending on when we leave we check in from 2-4am. Disney will not you let you in a room that early so we just book the day before so we can get in our room when we get there. We have always called and spoke with the manager directly at the resort to make sure they know we are on our way. I have always felt so sorry for the families sleeping in the lobby that don't book the day before or have to check out when they have a an overnight flight.

We did the same thing Lacey! We are starting our vacation a little earlier than usual as it ended on 9/29 so that is our start date, but boy am I glad now! We are at POR in a preferred room. I was watching to see if we could rebook and fly down on Wednesday instead of Monday but with POR excluded I would rather keep what I have!

It is really disappointing how disney has a family of 5 over a barrel. Only 1 moderate and really only half of that moderate that can accommodate 5. Wish they had more options.

This was my thinking as well. Double beds are a deal breaker for me so I guess its CS for us too.

Can someone explain. I have seen bits and pieces about this. I need to probably jump ship on POR and book different moderate. If so I am lost. I need good size bed..

Good point that is a good strategy also!

Never stayed at CBR or CSR...any recommendations on which is better? Can someone recommend a room or building at CBR that is close to the main building at pool and bus? Never stayed there before

I agree! We have friends with 3 children and it's so hard on them every year. The Disney Cruise Line does the same thing with staterooms. We just did our first cruise and our cost verses that of our friends was huge!

I would love to book CSR but the price of two rooms is not feasible. What I do not understand is that when I look around in september it seems there are no standard rooms available anywhere. Wish this would just be over. The only good thing is that we can get the discount through run disney. When comparing the overall prices, the free dinning is slightly better for the length of our stay.

from what I remember martinque was a good place to be ....you def do not want to be the across the pond they have the worst bussing.... stupid busses were always full drove me nuts and that was sept.... unless I stayed at martinque I would never stay there again. also food was a 1/2 mile walk from our building maybe longer.... the good pool was just as far along with the only hot tubs.

still debating on which resort....:confused3 I was happy at POR but guess Im jumping ship!:scared:

Sorry if this has already been asked....All Star Movies is excluded from free dining, however is there still a chance of a room discount and if so would that be released May 2 or May 7 as well?
Trying to see if I have any chance of a discount before I make the final decision to change resorts

We also drive overnight and usually arrive as early as 4 or 5 am. We never expect to be able to check in our room that early but our room has always been ready. (We do not pay for the night before).

We stayed at CBR and were very disappointed with the rooms. They were dirty and showed their wear. Have not stayed at CSR but from the pics online I think we would like it better.
