Just back and wanted to let you know about mini tours you can do in the parks.
Immigration tour at Men in Black - we asked about this as we went into the pre show area of the ride. They directed us through a door and we were shown the backlot and the area you look down on with the computers and the two big aliens - we were allowed to look at the papers etc next to the computers and had a photo taken with the aliens whilst people lining up for the ride were looking down on us thinking what are they doing there?
Twister - we asked at the ride entrance and they told us to go back 20 mins later - we were shown the area behind the set at the end of the ride and watched the twister scene with the guy who monitors the controls and also saw how they put everything back together again.
Hard Rock Café - we were shown the John Lennon room - various 'Beatles' artefacts that public doesn't normally get to see - also saw the areas used for entertaining 'top brass' from Hard Rock which is also the area the celebs hang out in when playing there - we went out onto the balcony overlooking City Walk - the best view on City Walk. Also went inside the Hard Rock concert hall (when it was empty) - reminded me of the Dolby Theater tour we went on in LA last year.
All these are free and great to do something different when you have visited a few times.
