OK Freaps I have the STRANGEST question in the world- I may need to post this on the CB for an answer......
Last week mom (she lives next to us- we built on an addition) told me around 1am- she heard the most odd sound- it was like a bird screaming outside! She said the cats just froze and it scared the bejeezus out of her! I told her I did not hear it-
2 nights later again- I still did not hear it.
Last night I was sleeping with the windows open and at 12:30am I was awoken out of a dead sleep to what sounded like a woman being murdered in my house!!I swear to you it was bone chilling- at first I thought it was mom- but as I started coming out of my sleep- I heard it was coming from outside and I thought it was my neighbor screaming- kind of like wailing!!!! LOUD!!!!!!!!!
I then come completely out of my sleep and realized- it has GOT to be that bird mom was telling me about!!!
I have never heard anything so eerie in all of my life- and you all know me- I like to be scared out of my skin (as I mentioned last night) This sound was just...........unbelieveable!!!!!
DH heard it also- but we just shut the window and went back to sleep-
I am keeping my window open tonight, shoes and flashlight by the bed and if I hear it- I will jump out of bed to investigate!
Do any of you have a clue what this can be? I never hear it during the day- I would remember that sound!
We are pretty sure it is a bird b/c mom said the first night she heard it, the screams were "moving" out of our yard and to the neighbors.
I said by the sounds of this thing it could be something from a horror movie with evil wings and red eyes! I said it could look like one of those flying monkeys from the Wizard of Oz it just sounded so EVIL!!!!!

Yeah- when I got back from Mexico after I hurt my back I got my notice! I had my doc write a note and I sent in my MRI results- they excused me.
But I showed everything to a very sweet judge who sadly enough lost his wife to breast cancer. He spoke with my DR and told me go home and sleep and we will still give you the paper for work so you get paid and get the day off.
I have been working every day. Well maybe not working but showing up.
John was trying to get of unenploment training class. Cause in Mass you need a class to learn how not to have a job.
But I did have to show up. They messed up and sent me the jury pool number instead of the medical excuse. Who would have thoght the goverment would mess up
I am sure John is not a happy camper about that!

Kellie- I found my voice activated (or in this case- creepy scream activated) tape recorder- I am putting it in my window tonight- NOT that I will be able to let you all listen to it- but DH is friend's with a vet (animal vet not war vet hee hee) and he can ask him
I do think it is some kind of bird- probably an owl.
DH said he will come out with me tonight if we hear it
