FP+ Christmas vs. Spring Break?

We're thinking of a trip with park days of Dec 22-26 or April 9-13. Since we missed the start of the FP+ ressie window for Dec, would all the good FP+ be gone which means a spring break trip is better?

How would crowds compare for those 2 weeks?

Even if we don't have good FP+, can we still see a few popular attractions with the standby line in the first few hours of park operation like the good ole days?

We shouldn't have to reserve rides 2 months out, but that's another story. Thanks for the help.

I can't answer the crowd level question, but I think good fastpasses are still to be had. I was making some adjustments to my FP's today for Dec 29th HS, and there was still ToT and TSMM for the morning and afternoon (around 2-3pm) available. Lastly, yes, getting there early and knocking out any must do's is a great idea!
