I can't wait to read the rest of your reviews. Most of them are places I plan on eating at during my next trip.

Thank you for such a great review. :worship: My parents are coming with us on our upcoming trip and are foodies (Dad graduated from the CIA in NY). It looks like I'll definitely make a reservation for Flying Fish. I'll be keeping my eye for the two of you from now on.

My mom was looking over my shoulder when I was reading and she saw the pics and the only thing she said was "we're eating there, right???" Well...we are now!!! Great reports!!! :goodvibes

We love the Flying Fish. After seeing your photos, I want to fly to Florida, have dinner, and crash for the remainder of the evening. :)

Thank you so much for this review. While planning I hadn't paid much attention to Flying Fish, mainly because most of my family are not fish fans (I loooovvvveee seafood myself.) But after seeing those photos I checked out the menu and it sounds like my kind of place.

OK ... so where are we with all of our reviews. Did I get totally confused by demanding to go back to the Flying Fish for DESSERT after CiCi's? So anyway, I think we're on to Wednesday ...

I love the Flying Fish. Thanks for the review. You did not say whether you enjoyed the cheese plate or not? or maybe I missed that. I have never had it there and was wondering if it good?

Our Signature Flying Fish Café Potato-wrapped Red Snapper
flying-fish0.jpg

Creaming Leek Fondue, Red Wine and Cassis Butter Sauce

 Where does one begin?

Surperb presentation. The potatoes were nice and brown, a little crispy on the edges (I LOVE those crispies) and wrapped around a piece of red snapper. Alas, alone the red snapper was a bit more cooked than our preferences would have it, it seems to me that in order to get the potato nice and brown and crispy, the snapper became a bit dry. Having said that, when you ate the snapper with the red wine and cassis butter sauce, it was a delicious compliment and definitely made the dish.

Oak-grilled Maine Diver Scallops
flying-fish9.jpg

English Pea, Basil and Mascarpone Risotto d Carnaroll, Clamshell Mushrooms, Pancetta Cracklins’

:woohoo: TO DIE FOR :woohoo:

This dish contained in a microenvironment everything that I love about life!

The scallops were without a doubt perfectly cooked.
English Peas....
Risotto....
Mushrooms....
Cracklins'...

WHO THE HECK DOESN'T LOVE CRACKLINS'?????

How About Some Desserts?

Warm Valrhona Chocolate** Galette
flying-fish03.jpg

Dark Chocolate Gelato and Raspberries

:teacher: Now class, can we all say... Chocolate Volcano Cake?:teacher:

It is an amazing thing to break into a piece of chocolate cake and have the liquefied center ooze out... The Dark Chocolate Gelato was ok in my book, the K-Man thought it was delicious! I'll remind you all, I really am a Breyer's Ice Cream sorta guy, and gelatos for me just have a different sort of texture to them.

Lesson for the Day
Valrhona Chocolate -

Valrhona is a French chocolate manufacturer based in the small town of Tain L'Hermitage in Hermitage, a wine-growing district near Lyon. The company was founded in 1924 by a French pastry chef from the Rhône valley. It is today one of the leading producers of chocolate in the world.

Valrhona focuses mainly on top-quality luxury chocolate marketed for professional as well as for private consumption. Valrhona is currently the only company in the world that produces vintage chocolate made from beans of a single year's harvest from a specific plantation. Currently three brands of vintage chocolates – Ampamakia, Gran Couva and Palmira – are in production with plantations on Madagascar, Trinidad and in Venezuela respectively.

First let me say that as a newbie, I'm just in awe. Your reviews are the text book definition of food porn. It's like playboy and we're actually reading the articles too. :lmao:

Spot on gentlemen, spot on.

Love your review....have ADR there in August.:cool1: Are the appetizers and desserts available if we have the DDxDP? I know the entrees are. Can't wait for more of your reviews.

Yes they are both covered on the DxDDP. That's what we have for our honeymoon and we can't wait to use them for some signature dinning.

HOW FOR THE LIFE OF ME AM I GOING TO DECIDE WHAT TO ORDER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!! I will just have to say SURPRISE ME!!! to the server!!!!

Thanks for the great review! I, too, believe that life is uncertain and I must eat dessert first! Especially, if it is chocolate!:woohoo:
