I can not get it to work online either, nor on the phone. Sharon isnt online, and did not anweser her PM...Im thinking she didnt really pay for it. As nobody on other boards were able to either. If you have any luck post it her or PM me. I PMed you but you didnt respond.
I beg your pardon. I was at work. I posted earlier today that I was off to work to make the money for the ressie... scroll back & you will see. I did indeed pay for my ressie in full! I just pm'd you back. Not eveyone can sit on the computer all day long. I do work. I called the 1-800-828-0228 number that I always call. When I called, the CM I had was very nice. She said it was very hard to take those & to bear with her while she did it in the computer. It took her a good 5+ minutes to do them. Once she was done, She said I would rec've confirmations in the mail that they were paid in full. ... and to think I pm'd you back as soon as I read my emails, before even going on this board. Please don't jump to conclusions just because there wasn't an immediate response from me! I am not the only one that was able to pay in full.... aren't you the non Florida resident that put it in your name as the primary then put your parents name on the ressie so you can get the rate? If you forgot, I was the one that responded to try & help you then.... why are you so doubtful of some people on this board. I have no reason to lie. If one decides not to believe then don't.

I just tried to look up my December dates for the resdient rates and the *book now* button/icon is missing on all of the offers...or is that just me? I tried to look up prices for my dates under the standard system...it worked once and then gave me the message that "reservations is currently down for work" or something to that effect. I wonder if it's b/c disney is searching for more glitches or if they're about to upload a new deal....hmmm free dining??? Or mabey its just busy.....**please please be a new deal!!!**
No,it isn't only you.... that is what started last night. I think that was how they what they did so they could find the glitch...

Sharon are you paying online? Is it offering that option? (can't get to the WDW site at work!) They would not take the final payment over the phone.
The only thing I can think of was that I paid last night, before the start of the next business day...before they CM's were breifed on what happened. I say breifed because from what it sounds like, they really don't know the entire story of the glitch.

I would like to know who booked a Deluxe, cause I spent 3/4 of the day yesterday trying different dates and hotels and other things but the only 2 that would show would be CBR and CSR. Now you could get POR if you choose a alternative offer. But that was the only thing they would offer. Cause the FW Cabins would come up sometime but they would be a regular cost.

I say if they dont honor it we start writting letter to CNN, FOX, MSNBC or wheover we can get are hands on. WE make enough hoopla about it, and I am sure Disney will do what they can to make it disappear. And yes I am a stock holder and do you think this will effect the stock ?? NO dont think so!!!

Also it says in the MY RESERVATION area that you can make a payment online but I surely cant find it. Anyone else had any luck?

I like your go getem attitude :goodvibes I will write along with you..
I managed to get a deluxe & so did my sister, but it wasn't until late last night just before they pulled the "book it now" button. I think they were doing something to pull it because with my sister's...the rate changed as she booked it. It went further down!!!

I am on the phone now with my sister & she just hung up from them. They told her that they couldn't take final payment. I must be paid for on arrival. She even quoted him what the email said & he said that they cannot take it. Then she told him that she knew someone that had paid last night. He went on to tell her that something like that happened to him once before. The next day his superviser left a note for him to send the guest a letter, along with a refund of all but the deposit explaining that the balance must be paid upon arrival. So now I have to see what happens with me???????

They aren't supposed to take your final payment with "R" bookings, it has to do with the way the money downloads to the resort.

I had a Guest call this morning with a rate of $11.44 a night at CBR, and before I talked to the Guest about anything, I called Guest Services. I went back to my Guest and said "I know what's going on, I know you know too!" and he laughed. I told the Guest that his rate was going to be honored, but just as the internet terms and conditions state, the rate is guaranteed as long as no changes are made to the reservation, so if date changes are made, the correct rate would be charged.

OMG, thank you for posting this infomation! This is great news!

great - so it will be honored!!

Sharon - I quoted the e mail as well and the CM still said no payments over the phone, balance due at check in. This is definitely a trip we would not have made as we are usually home for Thanksgiving but DH is off 4 days and for the price we'll be glad to go and spend even more money on food and souveniers!

What about names on the ressie. I booked 2 for one time frame. My son is 18 with no credit card so one is for him. I am listed as primary on both mine & his since I have the credit card. He will be in one room with 3 of his friends but I just put in the names of our family members instead of getting his friends last names (and spelling of everyone) since the site only give so many minutes before it times you out. So in reality, I have 2 rooms booked 1room is me & three others, then me & him & 2 others?? but the "2 others" are the same names? I don't plan on changing dates or anything...just three of the names on one of the rooms. Also another question, since my son is 18, actually will be 19 by the time we go, & his name is on the ressie, he is a FL resident (still lives home) can he check in without me? or do I need to be there since I am listed as primary. I know on regular ressies it makes no difference as long as the name is somewhere on the ressie

Not to rain on anyone's parade, but I'm thinking that because of this "glitch" and the information provided that Disney will honor these rates, any hope of additional discounts for those travel dates are going to be few and far between for others in order to make up for the loss. I know those that were able to book it are ecstatic, just remember the "Great Glitch of 2005" when you're waiting for codes to come out! :rotfl2: I know the general concensus is that Disney charges way too much for their rooms, hence the existence of boards like this, but remember that they have salaries to pay, maintainence to tend to, new parks and attractions to keep us interested, and numerous other bills just like the rest of us to pay. Something like this could have a large impact on projected income, profit and cash flows and these types of errors tend to be passed on to the consumers and employees to compensate. Just because it is a large company doesn't mean that it doesn't have a budget just like the rest of us.

Sorry for trying to be the voice of reason, just thought I would add my thoughts. For those traveling to wdw because of this...have a great time! Actually, for those traveling to wdw even without this, have a great time!

I may be wrong, but I find it hard to believe this will have a "large" impact on Disney's projected income. First I think the impact will be alot less because this glitch only effected Florida residents and then only those that read Disney discussions boards like this one. Had the glitch been good for anyone, then THAT probably could have had an impact....I know I would have booked something!...also, those FL residents that did book rooms will still be going to Disney and spending money. Disney is not totally losing out as opposed to say a company selling goods who had a glitch selling their $100 product for $1.00, with no hope for additional income from that sale. Since it seems
many people who booked had no plans for trips and once they are down there, Disney will be getting money from them that they would not have otherwise.

Also Disney is a HUGE company, I really doubt a limited one day glitch like this one will have that much effect on operations/income at the parks.

I think this whole thing is pretty funny.. After making people jump through hoops and deal with on-line reservation systems that are totally unreliable, it appears the joke is on Disney.. :rotfl:

Hope you all have a SUPER time on your trips.. "This one's on Disney.." :rotfl2:

I can't imagine this is more then 50 rooms or so. The whole panhandle had better things to worry about then WDW last night, and the mistake wasn;t corrected right away, you would think if hundreds of rooms were filling up someone would have noticed

Congrats to all that got in.

You are so right.. you would think that they should have seen it sooner .. I hope you weren't effected by Katrina... my heart goes out to all of them at this time...even the Floridians on the east coast that were hit with it as a cat 1 storm.....they suffered damage as well....

When I have booked via telephone, I received a written confirmation and there was information on paying the reservation (i.e. you can mail a check). The online confirmation received in the mail was not the same, and did not provide any information on paying prior to check-in. So, it does seem to matter how you register.

The cancellation policy is also different, 45 days for online, and 5 for telephone (room only).

I agree with you 100% the extra trips I booked from this I hadn't planned. My others were already taken care of before this happened. Also, due to this, Universal is not going to be getting 3 (already booked) nights at RPR, possibly adding on the 4th night... so now Disney will be getting me & my money for 9 nights. Yes, what I am saving in hotel will be spent in food & other things...at Disney.... so Universal is the one that has lost on this glitch (at least for one of my trips...)

I'm just curious what number everyone is calling to try to pay for their reservation. I was able to book 5 nights in October for a total of $57.20. :cool1: I paid my deposit of $11.44 and received an email confirmation moments later. I think I was probably one of the last people to get this "glitch" deal. It was around 9:45pm last night when I booked it. It showed up under my vacations on the website shortly after showing a balance of $45.76. I have come across several different numbers and didn't know if anyone has tried these or just tried the main number (407WDISNEY). The website lists a number of 407-939-7675 and my reservation states a number of 407-939-7429. I'm sure they all lead to the same place but just wondering if anyone tried to pay using the numbers listed on the reservations.
