Dishonest, not sure. The honorable thing to do, probably not. Kinda like being given too much change at a retail store. The clerk made the mistake, the company can probably afford the loss, but I will always give the money back. Why, it's the right thing to do.

I saw the glitch, I live in Florida, the rates were unbelieveable, so much so I knew something was wrong. I just do not have to go bad enough to take advantage of someone else's misfortune even if that someone else is Disney.

The savings would not be worth the cost to me.

The savings are definately worth the cost to me and I am sure to others. For one I saved a ton and can afford things like annual passes now. I don't feel sorry for Disney one bit considering they charge my 3 yr old 45 dollars to get into the park. Congrats again to those who booked and will get to enjoy a great vacation and once again NO ONE SHOULD FEEL BAD!!!

I agree with you on that individual working for Disney.

Would that be anything like the "sad misfortune" of the people who missed out on getting reservations due to Disney's 120-day limit?

I will pay the asking rate. If that rate is discounted, not through a mistake, but from a legitimate offer, then yes I will go. If my budget allows me to pay full rate then I will do that. If not I will book something I can afford.

I am just saying this is something I could not do. Others as with many things in life, have to decide what they want to do.

I am not the least upset with anyone that took "advantage" of this mistake, but it's not something I could do.

If I owned a business I would not want to be treated this way. Would you?

Enjoy your trip.

I will completely agree that this particular situation stinks for those that it prevents from booking, however all in life is not fair. Not everyone qualifies for every discount offered at every business. The 120 limit actually is now a moot point, since it is now 60 days. And I don't see the restriction any different than Florida resident. There are probably some people in Georgia that live closer to WDW than some Florida residents.

There will always be limitations. Actually many can not even afford Disney with the deepest discounts.

I will say if doing business with a company such as Disney, made me as upset and angry as it appears to make some, I would not go. I would take my business elsewhere.

If I was running a business and my company made a mistake then I would not think twice about honoring it. That is the professional thing to do since a lot of companies are based upon reputation and word of mouth. That is clear example of why I am a member of the Starwood Program and not any others. I would not enjoy taking all the crap from the fallout but just hope that everyone remembers the great deal they are getting and not to let tempers flare. The CSR's didn't cause this program as it was a programming fault and I know I have to remember this.

For those who cannot afford like you had mentioned just missed the golden opportunity.

Exactly, and I am sure Disney will do what is right. And Yes hopefully learn from their mistake and correct their programs.

And considering your career is in "marketing", that's exactly the answer I would expect.. ;)

Hmmm..wonder why Disney dropped the 120-day and went with the 60-day?
Could it be unhappy potential customers that voiced their opinions in no uncertain terms?

For those who work at WDW and frequent this board, what is the unoffical view of Disney right now. Is it the talk of the company or is it water under the bridge? Im curious as to what the thought process is at this moment.

Great Question - we are all so wrapped up in this. It would be great to get another view point on what is happening on the inside!

Ok so we are turning into this mod mentality. Everyone is taking sides. But the fact remains.... WE DONT KNOW ANYHTING YET!

How is it with over EIGHT THOUSAND PEOPLE viewing this thread, that none of them have called Disney and asked if they were going to honor it? None of them are Disney cast members who can tell us whats being said on the inside? I find this VERY HARD to believe.

SOMEBODY HAS TO KNOW SOMETHING!
