As many times as I have been there, they have never onced asked to see who I was with. They just said the names & gave me key cards for them...

How did you pay for it completely? When i go to "My Itinerary" to see my trip info and pay for it... It says...

It has now extended into the time frame over Christmas, it has PO-R & the Poly....

The mistake was in the tax total, but it was more than just simply subtracting tax rather than adding it. The taxes listed were totally out of whack, like $400 + dollars and then it was subtracted.

I remember last year a hotel in the Orlando area had a similar problem with a glitch in their booking program, giving rooms out at pennies a night. They honored those that were booked, so I am keeping my fingers crossed that a big corporation like Disney will honor these reservations too.


Edited to add: In addition to the confirmation page and # I got after paying my deposit, I just got an e-mail confirming my reservation. Fingers officially crossed now. :wizard:
Not only that, but if you go into My Vacations on the Disney Web site, you will see them there as well....
 

I wish I had tried earlier today. As soon as I found a good rate last night ($10 a night at CB lol) the website went down. Now I can't get any glitches. It must be fixed.
 
Well with so many people taking advanatage of this deal, (its all over like every "deals" website. Im affraid they are going to cancle it all.

The BOOK IT NOW button is now gone form the FL res section.
 
I think my sister got the last deal!!! She just finished it about 15 minutes ago!!! 12/20-12/29 Beach Club Concierge Lagoon View Grand Total $198.
Wish I had gotten that one, I haven't stayed concierge there, just courtyard view room :earsgirl: Oh well, I will just go visit here there. I will be at the Poly same dates Concierge Lagoon View Grand Total $501.12

Approx 1015est tonite the glitch hit the fare alert system for all the major travel sites. Once that was completed the glitch was fixed in a half hour. Now the waiting game for everyone. All of my reservations are paid for. I called the disney line and they took my payment without question so my reservations are saying paid in full. Fingers Crossed.

Well, I really hope everyone who booked gets their rooms at the price they booked them for. I wonder how many rooms actually got booked at the "glitch" price....I too forget everyone doesn't know about this site!

I would guess whether or not Disney honors the "glitch" price will depend somewhat on how much media attention this gets. If the media makes a hoopla about it, I bet Disney honors the price, but if it stays out of the media, I bet they use the tax issue error to not honor. -- Although, even in that case, I think people who paid in full might have a chance of keeping the "glitch" price. It'll be very interesting to see what happens.

And on a side note....exactly what Mickey Mouse Tech School (pun intended! :earboy2: ) does Disney get it's IT peole from? I know other major companies have website problems and glitches, but it seems Disney is the King of them. And I can't believe it took them so long to catch this latest problem. I hardly even bother with their website I have so many problems with it.
 
FYI I belong to a Fare Alert email notification. They send me emails when such glitches occur for airlines, hotels, etc. I got one this morning with the Disney glitch. It tells you how to get the rate, and that it's for Florida residents.

I too paid in full for 2 of my trips & not for the other 2.

If you got it this morning, it would have been to late had you been a Floridian... at least as of last night it was no longer accessible

That they cannot do...if they aren't going to honor it, they would have to give you fair warning..if not, imagine how many empty rooms they would have...people walking away from it & just loosing the deposit???
 
I just checked the site to see if the "Book It" button was back and it isn't.... in the left hand corner is says

I think they aren't going to have that button for a while after what just happened....I also noticed as the night went on the rates got lower & lower...dates & resorts that weren't coming up started to....When my sister booked the BC...it first showed $249 then when she hit the button to confirm it the rate switched to $198..... then that was the last any of us (me, my sister, my aunt & a friend could get on. I think she may have gotten that just as they were pulling it....
 
I wish I had stayed up and played around with it!
I am going to call and pay the rest right now. If they don't honor it I would hope they would let us know before checkin....:)
 
I just called to make a payment and they wouldn't take it...even though on my confirmation it says if you would like to charge final payment please call....

I just went into th "MY Vacations" site of Disney & it is showing the 2 that I paid in full last night as a "$0.00 balance.... When I get home from work today, I am paying the other 2 off as well. Now off to work I go to make the money for it... :earsgirl:
 
How did you pay all in advance. I just got off the phone with a CSR and tired too use my confirmation number, and they told me i couldnt, b/c my confirmation number started with an "R", so id have to the balance upon checkin. What do i do.
