As mentioned we just came back from our first family trip to WDW. DW, DD (5 1/2) and me. What a wonderful trip. Started off on a good note when we saw the bagage handlers in shorts. NYC has been quite cold. We had a good ride with yourride and stopped for some food and water. Checked into CBR (no one on line to check in) and were promptly wisked to our room in 26 Martinique. Very nice 2nd floor room with a front door of the lake. The room was ample size for the 3 of us however the shower and john are quite tight. Not an issue since we did not spend much time in room. First evening was at CR for Chef Mickey. What a great sight to see DD see Mickey for the first time. She just kept saying look daddy there is.... (insert character) Thanks to the board tips we took the monorail back to epcott and got the bus. Asked if we could sit in front of Monorail and we did. Quite a ride in what was a foggy night. First full day was Cindy at castle. great interaction. We were towards the end of the seatings so got some extra attention. The rest of the day was going to all rides a 5 1/2 would like (teacups, goofey railroad, Dumbo (disapointing forthe 25 minute wait) pooh, peterpan, etc. DD also started her pin collection. She ended up collecting and trading about 10-15 pins. Evening was Epcott with Living seas & fireworks. Next day was family magic tour and all other rides we missed the first time ( Buzz lightyear, jungle, aladdin, splash mountain (DD favorite ride because Mommy & Daddy "Got Soaked") Evening was relaxing back at CBR with cocktails and food outside while DD swimmed and Played with others. Last full day was MGM. This was the only slight letdown. This was a good 1/2 day Muppets, Lion King but afternoon got crowded with many poeple. Decided to have lunch at CBR and then head to Epcott. What a great afternoon. We spent 3 hours at world showcase and saw many shows. real funny street performer in italy, Morocco belly dancer etc. Also got to see DD favorite character Jasmine in Morocco. Made the whole trip. Finally did dinner at Garden grill. WOW!!! We were one of the last seated at about 7:30. DD got a wonderful meeting with Mickey, Chip, dale & Pluto. They just hung aroung till the end and kept coming back to say hi. Even to the point where Dale looked in DD bag for food to take home. Also had Goofey at reservations table working the place. This will be something DD remembers forever. Last day was early to MK. Walked to frontierland and felt like no one was at the park. Got to Thunder mountain and had the place to ourselves. After three rides there was someone there for our car. Thought we should try other things. Also got in Pirates, alladin, jungle before breakfast at CP. Great way too end the vacation. Great interaction. I think again because we were at the end of the seating time prior to switch to lunch. Ended our trip with a ride on the rail road. Thanks to this board we got on back and DD was able to be guest conductor.

What a wonderful trip.

Thanks for all the tips.

Glad to hear your trip was a huge success - time to start planning the next one - thanks for posting!

sounds like a fun packed trip

thanks for posting!

Thanks for the report! :) I'm glad to hear that you had a memorable vacation.

I enjoyed your trip report. We like the Garden Grill too. We tried it out on our last trip. The kids loved it. :D

Seeing the reaction on your childs face when they see all the characters is worth a million dollars!!!!It is one of the most magical feeling in the world when your child looks at you and says Thank you so much mom.
How would you rate the CRB?

For the price (< $100/night) I would give it an B+. I probably could have slightly better food at food court but I do not think you can expect to have gourmet food from a food court. We enjoyed it and would go back again.
