Hi All!

I can finally sit up again for more than 5 minutes without pain!

Wow! I have 125 pages to catch up on.

I would like to thank you all for all the well wishes the last few days!

Had a bit of a scare on Saturday evening.
Was sitting up and feeling pretty good, checking emails and playing with the RideMax program when I choked on a sip of Coke.
Started to cough and then extreme pain.
About an hour later checked "the area" and found I was the proud owner of a large purple tennis ball where my....things....usually were.
And a lot more purple around them.

Panic set in that I blew the stitches inside.

After consulting with a docter via phone, she calmed me down and a heating pad was applied, swelling went down, but all the progress I had made was gone.

Back to bed and a whole lot of perks swallowed.

Went to see my Doc today and he says just to take it easy and see what happens until Fri when I go see the surgeon for the post-op visit and he will let me know if I did any damage.

Glad to see you back. I popped stitches after my C-section...definately not fun - but it was handled in office so no big...

so a lesson for others - no hernia surgery during cold & flu season - avoid C-sections during ragweed season if you have allergies!

The outside stitches are still fine, its the inside I'm worrying about.

And yes, Thank god I did not have a cold.

As a smoker I am quite surprised I have not coughed once during this, other than the Coke incident.

I can imagine that you were scared like crazy...
Hopefully you don't have any damage and hopedully there is nothing wrong with the stitches inside.

OK guys I posting this here just in case some of you guys aren't reading the other thread.

Opinions needed...


It's cheaper for me to keep my current car rental reservation. Would it be morally wrong to valet park at BC while we are on the cruise? We are DVC members so it's free. Is that tacky? Opinions please. If you think it's inappropriate please tell me. Don't blow smoke, I can take it!

I don't think it is morally wrong. Do you think they will let you do it? I would be concerned about coming back from the cruise and the rental car being gone. Especially since valet is outsourced.
