Just curious...How many of you veteran cruisers have trouble with motion sickness? I've never cruised before and I don't know how it will affect me. I usually don't get motion sickness unless the movement is really harsh.

How bad does the motion get? Will I be walking down the hall looking like I just left Route 66 or the ESPN Skyloft?

Good question.

Well the sky loft isn't there anymore (replaced with the stack I think) but if you're not prone to motion sickness I wouldn't be too concerned. I had my kids take bonine before we left and all were fine. I didn't take anything, but I've never been seasick or motion sick in my life. If your worried, then take some preventative so you aren't miserable for an entire day. JMHO

I can do MS and ST no problem but I do get dizzy on the teacups. Guess I'll take the bonine. Better safe than sorry.

I do get motion sickness but not since I've been using ginger. Works great for me. Whether or not you get motion sickness, you will probably be walking a little funny the first night. I love it when you are walking down a hall and trying to be polite by staying to the right and then a wave gets you and you go to the left (same with the other person). After a couple times, you figure just walk wherever until you get much closer, then move to the side

We were going to rent a car and drive to the port but I'd just as soon be on the PartyBus. But DH did remind me that we were going to make a beverage run on the way to the port. Hmm- might have to get a car Friday when we get in and stop on the way to the hotel and then return the car at the dolphin.

Spoodles isn't closing, they are getting a kitchen makeover and will not be open for dinner from May 11 through May 29. They will still serve limited breakfast and the pizza window will be open.

Tracy is right because they are actually replacing it with another mediteranean restaurant, just a different name with someone else running it. I'm sure the restaurant will be getting a makeover. I guess saying the restaurant will close can be interpreted in many different ways.

I was looking for information on the Cat Cora restaurant and I found an article that said she and her partner are both pregnant at the same time. I can't imagine 2 pregnant women living together. I didn't want to live with myself when I was pregnant.

I would like to thank you all for all the well wishes the last few days!

Had a bit of a scare on Saturday evening.
Was sitting up and feeling pretty good, checking emails and playing with the RideMax program when I choked on a sip of Coke.
Started to cough and then extreme pain.
About an hour later checked "the area" and found I was the proud owner of a large purple tennis ball where my....things....usually were.
And a lot more purple around them.

Panic set in that I blew the stitches inside.

After consulting with a docter via phone, she calmed me down and a heating pad was applied, swelling went down, but all the progress I had made was gone.

Back to bed and a whole lot of perks swallowed.

Went to see my Doc today and he says just to take it easy and see what happens until Fri when I go see the surgeon for the post-op visit and he will let me know if I did any damage.
