Does anyone have first hand experience on a fireworks cruise? We have reserved a 21 ft pontoon (holds 8) for our family of 5 to go out and watch the fireworks on Seven Sees Lagoon. We are a big fireworks family so we thought this would be a neat experience for us. Just wondering what others have experienced and if you felt it was worth it. Thanks!

We saw Wishes this way for my 40th birthday and I thought it was the most magical thing we’ve ever done at Disney 😊. Enjoy!!

My family and I did a fireworks cruise for Wishes. (yikes, about 14 years ago, now that I think about it!) I thought it was worth every penny. We left from the Poly and the captain took us on a bit of tour first (this may vary from captain to captain) we saw the shoe tree and he talked about River Country - he had been a lifeguard there. We were situated in a good spot - near one of the bigger cruises so we could hear the music (at that point the small boats did not have music, this might have changed) I loved seeing the fireworks from that perspective. The night was pretty perfect and the whole experience was relaxing. They provided soda, a selection of snacks, and blankets. I'm not sure how much has changed since then, and where the boats are allowed to go, etc. and I don't think you'll be able to see the projections on the castle but unless you're right in front of it they are hard to see anyway. I have since seen the fireworks via a dessert party (before the garden was there so the view was just okay, tbh), and also from the savor, sip and sparkle at the Contemporary, but the cruise is still one of my best memories of fireworks with the fam. (also nice not to be in a crowd) Hope it's a great experience for you!

Did the fireworks cruise for Happily Ever After from Grand Floridian last May and had an awesome time. Started at Grand Floridian and headed over for a tour around Bay Lake before returning to Seven Seas Lagoon for the Electrical Water Pageant. Moved closer to the Magic Kingdom near the start of the fireworks. Could see some of the castle projections in the distance and they play the music through the boat speakers. Provided bottles water, soda, chips, pretzels, cookies and Mickey shaped rice krispy treats on board.
Loved it! Well worth the money but be warned this will ruin you for future experiances of having to fight crowds watching from the park haha! Enjoy!

Thanks everyone! I feel better about the money I spent on it. We will be in Disney Springs before the cruise so on top of the snacks and drinks that are provided I'm going to purchase some goodies while we're at Disney Springs to enjoy on the cruise. My kids have NO idea we are doing this, and we don't plan on telling them until we are getting ready to get on the boat at the Poly. Can't wait to see their faces!
