Finding Nemo - The Musical

It's a must-do for me....but I left once when it became standing room only. I don't need to see it that badly. We walked in and realized we weren't gonna get seats so we just kept on walking....out. I like this show FAR MORE than FOTLK. I only needed to see that one once. It was enough for me. I think I'm in the minority though.

Agree with those who prefer Nemo to FOTLK!

My DD 21 and I saw the Nemo show and we both LOVED it!! I found it far more like an actual Broadway musical production than Festival of the Lion King (that reminds me more of a Cirque de Soleil type show - which we also like::yes:: ).

Nemo is a must see for us from now on! :woohoo:

I've seen it 3 times.
First time I was solo.... it was a sneak pre-view and the theatre was only half full... didn't wait in line. Enjoyed it... but thought it was too long.
Second time ... June 07, we hopped in line as they started letting people in. Had the family with 2 grandsons that love Nemo! Theatre was packed. Kids got antsy after the first 20 minutes.
Third time.... Jan 08, just walking by and DD wanted to see it. Got in line and they didn't tell us that by time we got in it was standing room only!!!!:( I was a little ticked!) I was not going to stand there for 40 minutes. But another guest made room for us. But I had wished we didn't waste the 45 minutes!! We couldn't see because we were so far in the back we could only see half the stage! :(

For us.... not a must see! If they shortened it..... maybe.
It is a good show. Doesn't have the energy of FOTLK or the emotion of Beauty and the Beast. Those are must see's for us.

AK last August was so hot that we couldn't even consider waiting in the
L-O-N-G line for "Finding Nemo - The Musical". I don't know if lines will be any shorter this year. I'd like to know whether it's a "must see" for you and whether you feel the wait is worth it.

Not for me. I saw it once and didn't care for it. I liked the costumes, performers, and the song "Go With the Flow," but I remember the writing (music, lyrics, and dialogue) being pretty awful. Even "Go With the Flow" had problematic lyrics.

My family did not like Nemo at all. Did not like the whole puppet concept. Several people around us were sleeping. Some snoring :lmao:

It's funny who the opinions vary. our family LOVES this show. It's the only reason that we go to AK at all. For some reason AK is about 20 degrees hotter than any other park. We usually start the day out in MK and head over to AK for the show. The heat will kill you while waiting in line. I actually get sunburn on the top of my feet, from just standing there in the full sun.
For me, it's totally worth it. I think it's great, and we always fight to get the seats up front. I think everyone should at least see it once..

Pretty much the same for me -- I go to AK for Nemo and FOTLK. Otherwise, I'm just not a fan. :(

My family and I loved this show. We saw it on the first day of our trip, and the songs were stuck in my head for the rest of the trip! Yes, a lot of the lyrics are corny and maybe could have been better (a lot of them were taken directly from movie quotes), but I thought the melodies were fun and memorable. We ended up seeing it again toward the end of the trip and I bought the soundtrack.

I love the broadway feel of the show, the puppets are beautiful and the singing talent is top-notch, the best you'll hear in any WDW show. None of us particularly cared for FOTLK, and don't really get the hype over that (is it the audience interactivity that people like so much?). Plus when I was watching it I thought the three character floats they used seemed awfully familiar. Then I realized that they were 3 of Disneyland's Lion King Parade floats from 13 years ago.

And MK's Carousel of Progress is a old show of which sets, props and Audio Animatronics used to be at Disneyland in 1967 and before that is was at the New York World's Fair in 1964, 44 years ago.

I agree with the Broadway feel! We think it should be on Broadway! I think it could totaly make it!!! We loved it and saw it twice. The lyrics are a little corny and yes they stick in your head! But GREAT!!!! 2 Thumbs up!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

We loved this last year when we attended. We lucked out. The line was quite long, but not terrible. We waited for maye 10-15 minutes in line and then moved in and got a seat. We were towards the middle in the back. We're going in 10 days and will be in AK in 11 days. Any suggestions on which shows are the better ones to attend with shorter lines? I was thinking the ones llater in the day, but...wasn't sure...

Absolutely NOT -- The very first show of the day would be your best bet.

Two weeks ago we waited in line for a half hour and got amazing seats. I immagine you could get decent seats showing up about 10 or 15 min beforehand depending on the crowd. This is a must see. I was amased at how well done the performance is.

We liked it. Last Sept. it was really really hot- and this line was not in the horrible beating sun... Our kids 2 & 4 did very well- they were able to sit on curbing, and once we were in the theater even before the show began they had fun "searching for nemo to go through the bubbles". For us it was worth the wait- one of the few shows our 2 year old really sat and watched.
