I'm sorry I never came back over here! You aren't a threadkiller!!!

You are very brave to dive right back in and get another dog! It took me 2 years after we lost our beloved lab. We finally did it this summer and we rescued too! Such a wonderful thing to do! We got the cutest little lab/bassett hound mix. He is highly conflicted. He is all hyper like a lab one minute and then the next thing you know he is sprawled out on the floor snoozing.

You want a pic dontcha, huh, dontcha?

Here is my little man, Tank. :lovestruc

What a great thread! The wacky stories, the witty banter, it's all good :goodvibes

tiggerwannabe - I'm sorry for the loss of your dog  My furry kitty baby is almost 17 years old - I can't even think of not having him around :sad1:

Nebo & Smidgy - you two are good people. I love the posts you write to each other. Funny, yet sweet :flower3: Have you stayed at ASSp? Yes, I have a reason for asking LOL

Hello, everyone! :wave2:

Colleen....Sorry bout your puppy.

Diane......to underline you just highlight (with your mouse) the words you want underlined and then just click on the thingy on the tool bar above that looks like U and your words will be magically underlined.

My underlining was a link to the book on Amazon so you could see it for yourself. If you want to link in some words....do the same....highlight the words you want to link and then click on the little symbol that looks like the globe with a chain link in front of it. A little box will pop up and you just type in the web site or page you want to link to.

B]colleen [/B] sorry about your doggy:sad1:

melinda thanks for the advice!!! let me try. I also like the movie Timecop. I have nothing to "link" to right now. pretty soon I'll be able to give mony advice!!!;)

anyhow! yesterday they induced at 7 am... I got a call about 11, could I tend bar that night at the vfw? oh no! I cal Jeremy. she's only dilated to 2, maybe won't have the baby till late night, so I ok work. I get a call about 715 at the bar "hello, Grandma!" I squeal! talk to Jeremy, call my dad and brother and talk to them. then they tell me that the sound carries out the window from the "canteen"(officially, it's not a "bar") to the hall, where bingo was going on! and now all the bingo players know all about the baby!
well, jeremy didn't know what she weighed yet, but we are going to see the little princess tonight!!:cool1:

(Lisa if you like the banter and wit, go back and read nebo's TRs.)

OK everybody, now we must do the dance of joy!:dance3: (a dole whip for whoever can tell me what sitcom that line was from)

Congrats on the baby princess: !!!!!

I know I haven't posted on this thread, but I have been following along :guilty:

Congrats, Nebo and Smidgy, How exciting!:yay: :yay: :yay::yay:

What did you buy for the little princess, Smidgy? You must have gotten something! Something PINK!

Boy, I cant wait for the trip reports about taking the grandkds to Disney!!!!!!! With a Nebo twist. Let's hope the babies don't get hit in the eye or knocked over!

Congratulations Papa and Grammy.:dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

My kids have many names for my mom.

The most popular is Na-nee.

I wonder what she'll call you.

I'm sure the first grandchild will set the standard, but they all seem to come up with something of their own.

So that's the sound I heard over here.:thumbsup2 We all looked at each other and were like, huh? What was that? Doesn't sound like anything the airforce base would make.:confused3 :rotfl:

WOW. I take a few days off from the confuser and look what happens.
People talk. Hmm, must be talking about me.

Ok, I'll let Diane go more into the details, but everything seems just hunky dory with the new baby. I believe she was seven pounds, two ounces, and I was surprised that's all. After seeing momma the last time I thought she would give birth to a Sumo wrestler.
Unlike myself, who was in the delivery room many, many years ago, apparently they do things differently now.
Where as I was mostly in the way, just standing over her head cheering her on, ,,,," C'mon honey, off your tush, don't you know it's time to push?", Jeremy got to be down at the "business" section of the game. Sorry J.D., but he was "Catcher in the Thighs."

I asked him if when he saw the little "alein emerge from the body, he started to sing the song from "Spaceballs", and him and his buddy Tony just laughed, while Smidgy gave me that " What are you talking about look."

The three of us started singing, "Hello, my honey, hello, my baby,,,,,,"

But all looks well, Jeremy told me he was the first one to change a Poopy diaper.

I smiled. "You think THAT was a poopy diaper?" "You're not even in the game yet! That was just an hor's deuvre."

Ok, let's see who's mad at me and who I can tick off,,,,,,,,,,,

Hey Smidgy:If you haven't caught the movie yet, might I suggest Michael Critchton's Timeline. I read it a few times and loved it.

Monica, I also read that book and loved it. But man, did the movie ever suck!

:wave: popcorn:: :wave2: :QUOTE]

Ah, a Colleen drive by smiley attack. Nice to seeya.

Hi elbow, great doggy pic, but what a strange combo, a retriever and a hound. Let me know when you come up with a great dane/poodle mix. Or, better yet, a chihauha/ basenji mix,,,,,I'd love a little yappy dog with no voice chords.

What a great thread! The wacky stories, the witty banter, it's all good :goodvibes

Lisa, who is this "Smidgy" you spake of? Yes, she is the love of my life, I would be nothing without her, just a slimy snail crossing the driveway, a useless bug that should be squashed, Vermin that you call the Orkin man for, a flat squirrel in the middle of the street that stopped to ask for directions,,,,,,,,,hey! anybody going to stop me?
Even though I grew up my whole life with dogs, we are cat people now. Much easier to take care of, and both of our cats are incredible, they not only come when called, they are affectionate, although not to each other.
I'm also getting concerned about the oldest, she's about 13 now, and showing her age. By the way, Mischief, the other one I got from the shelter.

And Lisa? In my humble opinion, Sports is ok, Monica can give you an update, but we like Pop the best of the values. We've had 3 different rooms at Sports, and the Home Run section is the best. Surf's up is good too, but it's probably a preferred area. The best thing there is the fact that the busses stop at Sports first, so it's the easiest to get a seat going to the parks.

Ok, here she goes again. What the heck is EPLS? Eastern Pygmies Love Scrabble? No, that can't be it.

Oh my Heck!! Steve, that was a great story!
I'm sitting in bed with my lap top, and I was laughing so hard but trying not to make any noise, so I don't wake up the dh...............well I ended up shaking the bed and making a high pitched hyena like sound..........he woke up!
Thanks for the laugh!:lmao:

Wonderfull, wish I was there. I have done the "laughing, shaking the bed " thing too, but , no, can't picture the the high pitched hyena howl,, you'll have to show me if we ever meet. I'll let Diane explain what drives her nuts when she's trying to sleep, and I start doing my routine with my leg.

winkers, what are YOU doing up so late, young lady!?:
kiss hug!

Yep, she just doesn't get the time difference thing.

Yes honey, I know you're pulling our leg.

Right?

Good one, Steve!

Happy to see you're making people laugh IRL, too!

Grandma Mishy....

Geesh, she won't stop! To me, IRL is Indy Racing League, or is she pulling my leg too,,,, Idiots repeat Lexmelinda?

Remember that commercial where the husband was driving home from Mc Donalds and ate an entire box of fries and then blamed it on Mc Donalds?

I think that's what happened here.
.

Thanks a lot!

omigosh! I used to have so much fun in the D.T. (didn't get to do it much as a manager though) but yea usually our more "mature" customers would actually ask for it to go....
me : "Hi, welcome to McDonald's may I take your order?"
them : "yes, this will be to go, I'd like a big mac, large order of fries, apple pie, fudge sundae, and a small diet coke." (cause that'll offset all the other stuff)
me : "okay does the order appear correct on the screen?"
them : "yes"
me : "You said this was to go, correct?"
them : "yes, please"

once in a while they would catch themselves but most of the time they just really wanted it to go, yea good times, good times

You know, funny thing, I had to read it 3 times to see what they needed to "catch". So, tell me your worst "customer", I want to know if you ever put any kind of "special" sauce on a BM cuz you couldn't stand them.
C'mon, give,,,,

At my house we call wiping kisses off "rubbing them in" so they stick REALLY good! :)

And I also love grandma mishy. When babies use my real name they call me mishy too. :)

Hi Missy, youngsters often have a problem with the "S" letter, remind me in the future to tell you about my speech class.

See Mony? Thanks a lot!

OH, I love love love time travel movies also. Startrek the Next Generation has some great time travel episodes too :)

Mishy, I have the entire set of the original Star Trek, but I never got into any of the sequels. More on time travel coming up.

Woooooooohoooooooooooooo, congrats Grandma!!

Perfect Strangers!!!! Gotta love Balki :QUOTE]

You know, I saw maybe two episodes of that show, but I remeber that line. Was that where they set up dates and went to the gym to work out and then could barely move? Yes, that was a classic.

Wow, Congratulations!:yay: That is Awesome!

PS, I love Time Cop

mishy, a little known time travel movie that Smidgy mentioned is "Disaster in Time". It's cool, starring a young Jeff Daniels. It's kinda mysterious in the beginning, has a little bit too much of a formulaic ending, but way cool in the middle, when the mystery in the beginning is explained. When I first rented the movie, it had a different name, now, I think it goes by Disaster in Time.

Congrats, Nebo and Smidgy, How exciting!:

Boy, I cant wait for the trip reports about taking the grandkds to Disney!!!!!!! With a Nebo twist. Let's hope the babies don't get hit in the eye or knocked over!

Marita, I can't wait for that either. It would be strange to actually have to consider the "height" requirements for the rides, but I think by that time,,,,,
I won't have shrunk too much.

Congratulations Nebo and Smidgie!

HI WENDY! Thanks. I want to know if you've had any luck sellng the house yet. No, I don't get over to the Moovers and Muggers thread too much, I just can't keep up.

okey dokey, signing off of Marita's thread here,,,,:happytv: , sorry to highjack it.

Ok, once more with feeling,,,,,,,:dance3: :dance3:
